Delicious, fresh, and patio seating was perfect! Server was authentic Italian.
Very good everyday Italian cooking w/ an extensive menu
Adorable spot for a friends get together. Local wine that were great, specials to die for, great tiramisu and decaf coffee you can love without cream. Who could ask for more. Staff friendly and accommodating. Love this place
Food is always great. This place is quite the spot. Can’t go wrong. You won’t be disappointed.
We were a party of 11 for a Birthday. Our reservation was at 12pm on a Sunday. We arrived at 12:05pm or table was ready with no wait. We had the restaurant to ourselves which made it extra special. Service was a 10, food was excellent. Enjoyed every minute will go back.
Great food and very good customer service from our dining experience to the wonderful friendliness of the staff.
The staff were amazing! So very friendly. Was my son's restaurant of choice for his 18th birthday dinner. They made it really special for him.
Good business meeting
It was a Valentine’s Day date for my husband , and I. The restaurant is very quaint, nicely decorated , wait staff was very attentive . The food was excellent , and the prices are reasonable!
I found this place while searching for a restaurant equidistant from SF and Brentwood, and I’m so happy I found it! We came in with a group of 8 for a slightly later dinner time. The group that had the table in front of us was taking a little longer than expected so we waited a couple minutes at the bar area but the manager was SO friendly and engaging we barely noticed. Food was delicious, service was great and our dinner (meeting of families) couldn’t have gone better. Thank you Chianti Reserve!
The restaurant is very small and with 2 tables of 10 next to us, I had to text my date in order to communicate but was that noisy. We basically ate in silence because we could not hear each other. The food was definitely not authentic , but I have been to Italy twice, so maybe I am comparing it to AUTHENTIC authentic Italian food. Chocolate sauce on top of cannoli ? And they were 2 tiny cannoli , not one large one as usually is expected.
The spaghetti Carbunara was swimming in white sauce which had no flavor. Just a simple white sauce. I added a lot of salt and pepper which didn’t help. The waitress was amazing. Helpful and attentive, even tho she ignored us at the bar for 10 mins waiting for a seat. That was ok tho. She was quite busy. The wine was very good and the “owner”? Was very nice and busy. Besides the noise and the food, it was great
It was hard to enjoy the possibilities of the food since it was very tight and loud. Not my idea of a dinner out night, but the feeling of a bar due to the noise level. I also found it disturbing that the door to the restrooms was smack dab in the middle if the seating table, it was part of the decor. Additionally, the fit is so small and tight every opening of the door is felt, especially with the winter weather. I think the food had the potential of being good, but I couldn’t get past the atmosphere, I wouldn’t return.
My wife and I went on Valentine’s Day — so it was really
packed and actually difficult to get to our table. We had high hopes for finding a local Italian gem. We found a quaint place with really subpar food.
I went basic and had spaghetti And meatballs. I had to send my first plate back because it was clear that the kitchen didn’t drain the pasta noodles very well and I had a ton of very watery sauce on the bottom of the bowl. They actually just drained the water from my bowl and threw some more sauce on it. It was really bland and I thought the meatballs were really under-seasoned.
My wife had veal scallopini. It was tastier than mine, but still really bland and looked like it came off a cafeteria line.
I give thumbs up to the wait staff. They were really trying ... but personality wise we’re not very warm and inviting.
My wife and I have been to Italy 3-4 times and know what really good Italian food tastes like. Unfortunately, this wasn’t close.
Food was below average. Minestrone tasted like it was out of a can or cheap salad bar. For the price, entrees were pedestrian. I had the sole that had several lemon seeds on top. My husband had the salmon, which was fishy. The polenta was bland and almost inedible.
It was not a great place for a quiet and romantic dining. This tables are like a foot away from each other . You can hear your neighbor’s conversation. Yes, it was Valentine’s Day but it did not meet to the standard of a wonderful dining experience. They packed the diners in a very small area and felt like you are being rushed in order to turn around the table. Bottomline, not a great place for special occasion.
We always have amazing food and amazing service. Chiantis is our choice for special events and a night out for no reason.
The team there always makes us feel welcomed and special.
Hope you add Chianti’s to your list !
We were greeted cheerfully in Italian and escorted to our corner table by the window. The food was authentic and the atmosphere was also authentic Italian complete with accents from the staff. Good service, Good food and felt like the people there will become good friends.
Although we were greeted and seated immediately we were stuck in a small corner, right in front of the wine storage closet. I was asked to move twice so they could get into the wine cupboard. NOT GOOD.
Salad was good but entree was bland.
We will not be returning to this restaurant.
We were looking forward to dining here after reading all of the great reviews. Sad to say it was a disappointment. When we arrived we were seated outside which was nice with the heater. Soon after we were seated our waters were brought out, as the waiter was giving them to us he dropped a glass of water all down my friends back. Ice cold water! And then he just stared at her...? Really??? My husband had to ask him three times for a towel or something to dry herself off with. Good thing I️ always carry an extra shirt in my car. Anyway, we ordered our food and started on the bread while we waited for our meal. My friend’s son asked the waitress if there was any balsamic vinegar and oil. Her reaction was ‘huh?’ And not a nice kind of ‘huh?’ It was more of a ‘HEH???’ If that makes sense. After he asks her twice, she just looks at him and says ‘no’. What kind of Italian restaurant doesn’t have oil & vinegar for the bread??? Not to mention, hires waiters & waitresses that primarily speak Spanish and can barely understand English? It seemed like the only phrases they knew were ‘more water?’ Or ‘would you like cheese or pepper?’ Every time we had a question for the waiter we ALWAYS had to ask multiple times and his answer was ‘no’. At times that answer wasn’t even appropriate to the question asked. So bizarre.
When the meal came it was okay. Not gross, but definitely not worth bragging about. It’s a surprise we decided to order dessert. Granted, we did have three kids in our group. I️ opted out for dessert and my friend who had the water spilled all over her did as well. However, the owner(?) was like ‘you must order dessert, it’s on the house for the trouble you went through.’ Really? She has ice cold water spilled down her entire back and you’re only gonna give her a complimentary dessert (which btw she didn’t even want?) LAME! Also, the glass of wine I️ ordered tasted like vinegar. So disappointed. What a waste of $400.
One of our favorite restaurants, we eat there regularly. The food is amazing and the service is great. I love to sit outside.
Excellent service and Italian meal.
Our server Danielle was wonderful! She was attentive and really paid attention to the little details. I said I was just going to take a taste of the soup my husband ordered. She was kind enough to bring an extra spoon. She also brought over extra pepper flakes without us asking just in case we wanted more heat to the spicy pasta. The food here is also really really good! Amazing flavors! We love Chianti Reserve!
I think they were short on staff. Had to wait a bit to get our drink orders taken and then served. The bartender also doubled as the host. Food was well worth it, would recommend!
Overall a very good meal. I always like to see an owner continuously working the room. Well done. Very enjoyable.
The selection, service and food were fantastic. I've been here several times for dinner but this was my first time for lunch and I was not disappointed. My only small complaint is the cost of a glass of Wente Chardonnay was $15, which is more than I usually pay for an entire bottle. I think they need to lower their wine by the glass prices just a bit. Otherwise, I love it there and look forward to my next visit!
Great food served consistently on my frquent visits to this gem of a restaaurant. They still need to get their service up to above standard levels. Currently it is spotty...good sometimes and lacking at other times. Prices a bit high for Italian dishes but glad to pay for good food (and hopefully great service)!
My first impression was very positive, and the never changed throughout the night. A greet at the door, white linens, quaint, immediate seating, and just enough time in between asking if we needed anything more.
The food presentation was nice, and the flavors were great!
We will definitely return soon!
My husband and I decided to take some friends of ours out for a nice dinner.
We remembered going to this restaurant awhile back for a family birthday,
and really enjoyed the ambiance, food and service. So.....this restaurant
popped into my head, when I was trying to decide where to take our friends
Had a terrific dinner here tonight. Lots of tempting menu choices and nightly specials.our group tried the Caesar and Spinach salads.both were a real hit. The cioppino and tutti mar entrees we’re especially popular with our group.just the right amount of service without being intrusive. Can’t wait to return!
Our party of four were asked three times within the first 15 minutes (we ordered drinks and a table starter right away) if we were ready to order our entrees. During the meal, five times we were asked by the busier if we were finished. They clearly wanted to turn over the table within a half hour. When we asked for the check, they delivered a different tables tab. And yes, it was higher then ours by about $50. When this was brought to their attention, their response was a shrug. So much for the dining experience we expected.
Great restaurant we had gone for my Wife’s Birthday . Great appetizers, great main course and dessert. The service was fantastic . Very quant restaurant I definitely will go again.
Been to Chianti’s at least 3-4 times previously. Did not recognize the staff. The bread was stale - I had it returned and they brought similar stale bread. My Caesar’s salad came with a hair in it. The main dishes were sub par.
The side vegetables were cold/tasteless. They are off my list of restaurants. Service was poor - the manager seemed clueless of what was going on. You would think he would care to know and address the issues. Big Ciao to this restaurant.
Excellent service and good food. Great atmosphere.
Great food & selection
Dessert was heavenly
Service high level
Wonderful meal for Christmas. Brought my 81-year old Mom and she loved it. Wants to come back! The service was excellent. The staff all made us feel like family. Thanks for such a nice experience. Oh, yeah, the food was very good.
Overall things are good. But being on a Christmas Eve makes everything more crowded. They decided to move our table after we were seated, which was an inconvenience.
We came away very impressed by Chianti's simple, unpretentious but spectacularly delicious approach to its dishes.
Thank you for great food and great service for our family preChristmas lunch.
We all three ordered our favorites and were not disappointed. The service was great and the food delicious.
I had the smoked salmon appetizer as my entree and it was one of the best dishes I've ever had. Our server Danielle was attentive and friendly! I look forward to going back!
