Excellent food and service on our visit. We had not dined at this location for several years. Based on the dinner selections we decidsed to try Chianti's. It was an excellent choice and would recommend it as a good choice. Not inepensive, but worth the money from our prospective.

We crave the Pollo ai Gorgonzola so much we have to come to Chianti periodically just for that. We mop up every last bit of sauce with the hot bread. All the food has been very good every time we visit. The only downside is that it's always quite loud inside, even the staff is noisy, making it hard to hear our own discussions. But the Pollo is worth the noise.

The welcoming atmosphere and holiday look was great. The food was delicious. I had the Halibut with capers and my friend had the mixed seafood dish. Both were perfect. I will always return to Chianti's for true Italian food. Michae lAngelo is very outgoing and a big plus at Chianti's!

We love this little slice of Italy in Pleasanton. Dining at Chianti is like dining in the home of cherished friends. The people are warm and engaging, the service is attentive but not intrusive. However the reason we keep returning is because the food is inventive and delicious. The craft cocktails and carefully curated wine list round the experience and if you have room for dessert, there is a delightful list of Italian favorites with appropriate after dinner drinks for the perfect finish.

My husband and I had reservations for 6pm. We were welcomed by who appeared to be manager/owner. He asked where we would like to sit. We sat down and waited and waited. The busboy brought water and some soggy sliced bread with an oil style pesto dipping sauce. A couple who came in after us were seated given menus and were greeted by the waiter. Meanwhile, we waited for someone to acknowledge us and nothing. The waiter came to give an appetizer to the table next to us and waiter didn’t say a word. We acknowledged it was busy because waiter was yelling in the back about something. Waiter finally came and asked what can I get you?, and we told him we didn’t have menus. Menus were given and again we waited. We finally left. Will not go back.

Food was a bit better than a diner. Overpriced and service staff were overwhelmed. Someone needs to tell the server who was yelling out orders that volume does not equal quality. Would not recommend. There are much better Italian restaurants.

Excellent food in a quaint little restaurant. Everyone working there was very nice and attentive. Food was delicious and served steaming right off the grill. I highly recommend and am booking another visit there for a birthday get together.

Delish and fun atmosphere cheerful waitstaff and owner. Started w the bruschetta which we shared/ yummy I had the sole and it was so good- others had all diff things- everyone happy. House salad delish husband ate every bite of Caesar. Super fun festive night! Thank you! We will be back!

Well let’s start with the good the bread and veggies were great. Beyond that not so much. The food was out 4 min after we ordered. I ordered veal to get 3 tiny small pieces of veal and a boat of gravy. The food tasted like nothing as well as both our plates came with risotto which was ice cold. The veal tasted and looked like pork. I returned 2 of the tiny pieces of “veal” and a full plate of risotto and veggies. I talked to the server who kept saying he was new and did not know. He said he was going to ask the chef. Well what he did instead was dropped the plate off and returned to give us the bill. When he dropped the bill he said he gave me a discount for my plate. Well when I got the bill I was charged full price. I asked him about it and was told oh I am new. Long story short over priced, low quality, tasteless and not worth it in my opinion.

This is the second time my wife and I go to CR. Was the first for my son. In comparison this time was way off from the first. First time food was superb, everything, from appetizers to main course. This time I had the same thing I ordered last time, Tortellini Alfredo with Gamberi. Last time silky and smooth sauce, tortellini you could tell they were fresh and shrimps were very fresh; this time tortellini were over cooked, sauce and shrimps were not as fresh as they should be. To be honest it tasted as re heated left overs. My son’s spaghetti bolognese were tasting and good but when he finished the pasta still his plate had 1/2 of the sauce in it which tela you the either there was to much bolognese or not enough pasta in the plate. Last was my wife’s porcini risotto. There tomatoes, onions, and many other things and just a few pieces of porcini. You expect that porcini will the the protagonist on a porcini risotto, on this one is was not. The chef missed an opportunity to deliver to what the restaurant advertises in their website. I don’t know what happened this time but I think I will. Not come back in quite some time. Luis

There were several issues with the food, including a lack of seasoning. It appears that the server was offended by the fact that we did not order our food in Italian. The seats were very close together, and several guest at the table next to us made multiple racist, sexist, misogynistic, and homophobic remarks. We were served by a friendly waiter, but management was more courteous to every table apart from ours. We, as a party of four, will never return.

The group had excellent meals (no food left behind), healthy portions and there was only one other table of guests besides us. We had appetizers, great dinners, split a couple of desserts and drinks for $50.00 per person. We are definitely coming back.
