Using farm to table ingredients, dishes include Spaghetti Alle Vongole, pasta with clams in a garlic white wine sauce and Osso Buco, veal shank with saffron risotto.
Even the most been-there-ate-that gourmand will savor the simple, yet sublime starters like Eggplant Parmigiana and Saute di Cozze e Vongole, steamed mussels and clams in a spicy tomato broth.
Desserts deserve special attention; enjoy the creamy mascarpone Tiramisu, or a scoop of vanilla gelato with a shot of steaming espresso. Buon Appetito.
Exceptional service gem in the neighborhood authentic Italian cuisine plenty of parking worth the drive
Jen is an amazing waitress. She customised our requests and was so friendly and attentive. Not too many people in there. Noise level would be louder if more customers since tables are close together.
Had a wonderful dinner. Really enjoyed the fish stew.
Didn’t acknowledge our Open Table Reservation. Waitress was not attentive. Attitude was one of I hate my job. Not sure if we would come back.
I had heard excellent reviews of this restaurant and was prepared to be impressed. The food was excellent, but not the absolute tops that I had hoped for. Not only that, but it was quite expensive. My salad was delicious; the sole was fine but not really worth the price. The wine was also quite costly - my husband’s glass of house Chianti was $14 a glass, and was definitely not worth that; my $10/glass pinot grigio fared better. All in all, a very pleasant experience with excellent service and rather good - but be prepared to spend well above $150 for dinner for two (plus tip).
We love this restaurant. The food is outstanding as well the service. We've tried almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed.
The food used to be very good. But this trip the food was bad. Very plain, no taste.
Our waiter Dominico was wonderful!!!
Thoughtful and well executed menu with excellent seasonal specials, fresh ingredients, and outstanding personal service. Reminiscent of Babbo, in a surprisingly unassuming locale.
Nice place for a special dinner. The food was spectacular.
We come here when we want good food within having to drive to Napa. Week nights are quieter. They give enough attention, at times with pleasant conversation when they are not so busy. Lighting can improve though.
This place is a hidden gem! If I could give it 10 stars I would. Food and service was outstanding. Ask for the daily special.
We stopped by here on the way up to Tahoe and did not know what to expect. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Food and wine were delicious. Recommend the Panna Cotta!
I'm becoming a neighborhood regular at this place. I have lived in Italy, and had my share of wonderful Italian meals. This place is legit. I've indulged in the gnocchi, and cioppino--both delicious. I've visited twice thus far but plan to make a habit of dining here. Great appetizers: burata cheese plate, and fried calamari. Chianti is molto buona as well as the Cab Sauv. I last tried their chocolate hazelnut mousse and nearly lost my mind. Incredible. Such a treat. This is a great local spot with class and quality. Yum! I'll keep going until I've exhausted the menu, and then repeat!
It’s always a great experience to go see Salvio and his team. Great food and great people.
My favorite restaurant when in the Fairfield/Suisun area.
First time visit & very impressed. We'll come back frequently.
All food was very good. A minor issue was that the ravioli were quite overcooked (mushy).
Very good service provided. The waiter was experienced; knowing when to come to the table and when to leave us alone & content with our meals.
Excellent service, attentive and friendly. I’m always happy when it’s this particular gentleman serving us. He’s knowledgeable, and always make our evening special.
Food was good. I’ve had better there. My husband enjoyed his food. Tiramisu was great. We’ve been there many times and will continue going .
My waiter was very attentive and made the dining experience very enjoyable.
Our server was outstanding!
If you are looking for lovely food and an environment that feels comfortable, yet elegant, this is the place for you. I have dined there 5 times now and have not been dissatisfied in any way. The pasta is served al dente’ , which makes my heart sing! It is evident that the food is prepared with care and expertise. The service is friendly and well informed of the dishes being served. It is nice not to have to travel far to experience this delicious food!
We have been to Chianti’s Osteria many times. We have always had consistent experiences both with service and the food
Our meal was excellent with food quality good, service was over the top, and even had the profiteroles for dessert to celebrate the day with our granddaughter that were fantastic
We will definitely be back soon to enjoy another great dinner
Just as in the beginning - quality and service has not waned. A super solid, upscale-ish Italian restaurant in downtown Suisun City with little competition.
Always good food and good service! One of the three best restaurants in Fairfield or Suisun.
The food is excellent. Service not so good. Seems to be plenty of wait staff...however they need to be better trained.
Love the restaurant and the waiter, Domenico! We will return!
Great restaurant with fabulous food, fantastic ambiance and great service.
Always a delight dining at this place. One of our fave. Good food & great service. Highly recommended.
We dined on Valentines Day. It was packed, as if extra tables were brought in for the evening. Very overcrowded. Our service was good but they were out of my wife’s preferred wine and I had to remind the waitress about my negron. It was also very cold the entire time we were there. I usually don’t write crazy picky reviews when the experience was very good overall but for this price I expect excellence over all.
This restaurant is a hidden gem! I’ve lived here for years and never even heard of it, I found it while looking for Valentine’s Day dinners and I was so impressed! The service was amazing the food was divine and the price wasn’t even that bad! Truly a romantic dinner spot and well worth it!
Nice little Italian restaurant in Suisun City. We got there 10 minutes early, even though the door was open, was told to wait outside. Other than that, we enjoyed the great food and service was okay.
The food was wonderful, as always. Our server, Jen, was charming and attentive. We love this restaurant!
Very friendly staff, attentive service and excellent cuisine.
Food was good. Wine was good. Good ambiance.
Everything was great. We wanted to spread out our appetizers, salad and maincourse which was fine. the appetizer and the salad came out separate but the main course came right after our salad which we weren’t too happy about because we didn’t even finish the salad actually we hardly ate any. The waiter kept coming and asking if we were ready to order the main course. We told him that we wanted to spread it all out but he kept asking so we ordered our main course he assured us that they would come out in a timely manner and separated, unfortunately it didn’t
Simply put, I've eaten in restaurants around the world. The cuisine matches anything the Jules Verne restaurant in the Iffle tower- Paris.
I love this place! The ambiance and food is amazing. sat at the bar to eat and thoroughly enjoyed the bartender, Domenico!
Cousin visiting from out of town; we wanted to take her some place special. We always have excellent food and excellent service when we eat here
We absolutely love Chianti Osteria! Everything about our experience was fabulous!! Highly recommend. White table cloths, dimmer lighting, very romantic. Staff and chef are phenomenal! Food is excellent and full of authentic flavors. -Alicia Worley
Waited until after a few visits to write a review and our opinion of the restaurant has stayed the same. It is good and the service is good but just good is not worth the price (around $150 for a multi course dinner for two).
For the cost we have decided we would much rather just make the trip to Napa and spend the same amount there. Probably not the most helpful review but there’s not much to say when everything is just basic good.
I wouldn’t say don’t give it a try. But the pastas are definitely the best part of the meal and don’t waste money on appetizer or salad courses.
