Chianti Grill - Roseville Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I were celebrating Valentines Day late but every year we celebrate at Chianti Grill. Our experience has always been excellent and this was no exception. We made reservations and our table was ready when we arrived and as usual the food and service was excellent. We had drinks and an appetizer, salad, my wife had the tenderloin medallions on skewer and I had the sirloin. We also enjoyed a delicious dessert together. Can't till next year. Thanks Chianti Grill.
Chianti Grill is my go-to place for a good lunch or dinner. The food is always excellent and the service very professional. The restaurant's temperature and noise level is always perfect. Best of all, it's easy - parking lot for convenience, what else can one ask for?
We usually find the Chianti Grill a fantastic experience. Friday night our waiter did not really give the usual service we have come to expect from Chianti staff. He did not tell us the specials, so we had to ask. He pushed certain wines and cocktails without listening to us and asking why we were there. He was very inattentive, so we had to seek his attention. He did not get our cocktail, beer, wine order correct, because he was not listening. We will come back, but it might be awhile before we return.
Whenever I want to have lunch with a friend with whom I want to have the time and ambiance to converse, I select Chianti Grille as the place to meet. I have my favorite food selections which are always available, the service is wonderful and the atmosphere is just so relaxing. Keep up the good work, CG!
I've been going to Chianti Grill for a long time. It used to be better, but they seem to have stopped trying, stopped experimenting. And they're successful, so that's probably why. They have become a copycat of Olive Garden—so-so Italian food in a well-designed but middle-of-the-road space. There are no pretensions toward really creative cooking. The result is food (and an experience) that's solidly three-star: nothing objectionable, nothing memorable. As we say in Minnesota, unenthusiastically, "it's fine."
Great food and service. The pasta e fagioli soup was outstanding, as was the citrus salmon salad. Just the right amount of seasoning and sauce. This restaurant also had a separate, gluten free, menu - perfect for one member of our party. And, drum roll please, we shared a crème brulee for dessert. I have to say that this was truly the best crème brulee I've even had.
We had the lunch buffet, which was not hot (temperature-wise), but still tasty. We each had a glass of wine -- a bit on the pricey side but enjoyable. Restaurant wasn't very busy so we were able to sit and talk for a long time. Our waiter kept filling our water glasses -- and I felt no pressure from him to free up the booth.
We selected this for a casual evening out with friends. We did not like the first table we were placed at as it was directly across from waiter station so we requested to be moved. We were seated 15 minutes later at an acceptable table. Waitress was friendly and energetic. Food was served hot and was tasty. Very pleasant evening.
My Son and his wife were visiting from out of town and they had been there before and suggested it again. We are always pleasantly pleased with excellent service, friendly wait staff and delicious food. Its a friendly and cheerful atmosphere and we go there often.
