Chianti Grill - Burnsville Ratings and Reviews
This is one of my husband and my top picks for date night or a special occasion. It can get a bit spendy if you add in a couple drinks, so we don't feel it's a casual go-to restaurant. But the food is always amazing, the service is great, and we always look forward to the next time we go.
Our server was Brianna. She was the BEST server we have ever had! She was very attentive without being too attentive. Our filet mignon was perfect!!!! We ordered it medium well... when it came, it looked a little red, but as it sat and cooled, it became just perfect!!!! The scallops, bruschetta and tiramisu.... Excellent! Hats off to the GREAT chef! Thank you for a delicious Valentines Day celebration!
My wife and I have recently had 3 occasions to eat lunch at CG. On every occasion the food
was outstanding, the service perfect, and the dining area just what we like: roomy, just enough
background noise to know you're not eating alone, and very nice decor. Prices are in line for
high quality food.
We were at Chianti's after a matinee theater production and the restaurant was busy--but we were surprised at how quiet it was despite the full tables! The menu offered varied choices , something for everyone. I had pasta--elegant in it's simplicity and a wonderful taste of home. Hubby had the tenderloin steak and vegetable skewers--a generous meat serving atop a delicious mushroom risotto. He was looking for "something different" on the menu and found it! The evening was topped off with a shared turtle cheesecake which was the best we have eaten. The friendly and attentive staff made for a memorable evening. It is an hour drive for us, but worth the time and effort.
Once again, Chianti Grill did not disappoint. It was a very busy Sunday brunch and service was phenomenal! The food at the buffet was always hot and very tasty. The omelettes were good with a good variety of options. Pastas and salads were good also. I have NOTHING bad to say!
My only concern was the way that tables were cleaned for the next guests. I would suggest two trips to the table, one clearing off and cleaning, and another setting up for the next guests. The new glasses and utensils were placed on the seat of the booth, where crumbs and germs could be spread from the cleaning of the table.
Thank-you, we love everything else about the restaurant:)
I had the Walleye Impanato, which was excellent, and my husband had the Spaghetti Carbonara, and he said it was the best he has ever had . . . and we had enough leftovers for the next day:-)
. . . and the service was excellent as well!
We will definitely return to Chianti Grill!
I live so near by and am trilled to have such a place to go. My grandson and I thoroughly enjoyed our night there this week. I love taking any guests there as it always is so pleasing! Kirsten was exceptional as my grandson and her got into a discussion about his upcoming college. She has college age student so had lots to talk about!
Another very enjoyable evening. The 8 oz. filet mignon and garlic mashed was very flavorful and the pork maque choux is fantastic. Our server, Michelle, was fun and attentive without being intrusive. Chianti Grill is definitely our favorite place to dine south of the river.
I have been going to this restaurant for years and like to food choice and the wine list. Saturday night our table was right behind the hostess stand and even with double doors the cold air was flowing through as people came in or out. It is a MN winter! I ordered a chicken dish that was good but not as good as Andiamo in Eagan. I'll stick to my favorites the next time I eat here.
A few minutes after we received our salads, our meal came. We did not get a chance to eat our salads first. It was rushed so much to get our meals out, our meals got cold while we finished our salads.
The waitress did not check on us very often.
The walleye was terrible! Was so watery, it seemed like it was boiled. Was not worth the price! Two small filets that were not prepared like walleye should be prepared. Was very disappointed!
The angel hair pasta and chicken my husband ordered did not have very much chicken. Also, not enough alfredo sauce for the amount of fettuccini. He was very disappointed.
