The evening that we went the restaurant was super busy. We had booked a table but still had to wait 30 minutes after we arrived. That was the only frustration. Other than that, everything was super. Excellent food and very pleasant staff.

Bad all the way around...from the moment we showed up with reservations, only to be seated at the worse table in the place to "soggy" undercooked entrees...all that at outrageous prices...we tried this place after a 3 year hiatus and am never returning

One of my favorite restaurants. The food is great, and the ambiance. Very comfortable
dining.

Great local place for a good meal. Small dining area and tables are close so hard to hear if restaurant is full. Service ok but noticed mostly new staff so maybe why service was not as high as usual. Cioppino is one of our favorites along with the seafood pasta. Wish they would bring back the olive tapenade they used to serve with their bread

The entrance area is very small. You end up waiting in the doorway or outside. It would be nice if there were some benches to sit on inside. The wait was reasonable 10 mins. The table was very nice by the fireplace. Food was delicious with large portions. Party of four had gnocchi, abalone steak, Pork chop and pasta with seafood. Split a Caesar salad and a greens salad. Add a nice bottle of red and dinner was served. Desserts were great too! Bread pudding, tiramisu and profiteroles with coffee and a mocha. Absolutely delicious 😋 although it was very hard to hear conversation it added to the electric vibe of the place. Definitely will go back.

Excellent food, large portions, and most importantly, outstanding service by Katherine and the rest of the professional staff. Katherine even ran out to the parking lot to hand me my credit card that I had inadvertently left with the merchant receipt. Talking about exceptional service! We will certainly be returning to Chianti Cucina and encourage others to patronize this restaurant.

Food is always very delicious and service is wonderful! The loud atmosphere makes it difficult to have a conversation, though.

We having been dining there for many months on a weekly basis. Our waitress Carina is always polite, efficient, happy and has a smile on her face. She remembers what we like to drink and eat and how we like our food prepared. I find that the food and service is consistently the best. It makes my night out very enjoyable.

What good does it do to have a reservation. Arrived 5 minutes to 8 for 8pm. reservation. By 8:30 we were asked if we wanted to sit in the tiny bar. I said sure, but will be waited on. After a few minutes the bar tender tells us she will be our server. She will be right with us. 10 minutes later she comes back and says thank you for my patience. I said my patience is gone. I just want some service.
That kinda set the tone for the evening. She says " do you know what entree you want this will get you on with your evening" How about a drink and some bread. This was our evening.
I asked her not say anymore before she really sticks her foot in it. She was pretty tentative after that. The rest of evening went O.K. except for squeaking dishwasher behind the bar all night.
Forgot to mention, If you have to wait. There is no where to wait. We had to stand in front of the door for that 1/2 hr..
I think i will take the wife somewhere else for date night.

The best Calamari steak (super fresh and flavorful) and pesto pasta. Portion size of Calamari is larger than most -- and that makes a difference. Drive from SF to eat there, and we don't want to leave hungry. Our server was 5 star, no wait, refill of bread without asking. Cozy and authentic. We're foodies, and we'll be back again and again.

We've been coming for years and it's a reliable choice for Italian food. Warm cozy atmosphere anchored by a large fireplace. Seafood pastas are always a good choice as are the veal dishes. Some of the price points veer to the high end. Service can feel rushed particularly when they are busy.

We had a group of 5 people. Dinner was terrible. We had the Brussels sprout appetizer. They were fried beyond recognition. 4/5 of the dishes came out cold and over sauced. One dish, the one that was good, came to the table 10 minutes after everyone else got their food. The restaurant was very loud. The waitress had too many tables. The good thing was the wine. All in all, very overpriced for what we got. Thank goodness we had a Groupon. I would have been very upset if we had to pay full price for a dinner that was so terrible.

We enjoy the variety of daily specials--such as seafood cioppino, sole dore or carrot soup--in addition to the menu's selection of pastas, pizzas, salads, fish, chicken and meat entrees. We are always welcomed warmly and receive excellent service, too.

Had another great time for my dad's 80th birthday here. I loved the food. They allowed us to move tables to accommodate our newborn and the service was REALLY GOOD. Thanks. We'll be back!

Had a reservation at 7; arrived 10 min early. Seated 1 1/2 hours later. Told us the corner table was ours, then when another party of 4 showed up, they gave the table away. The noise level is worst I've encountered. We live close by, so until now have tolerated.

Good luck to Chianti! If you have nothing better to do, bring ear plugs, plan to wait for mediocre food; you can sit at the bar, along with the owner, who seems to do that very well.

Good was good as always, greeted with warm friendly accommodating hostess.
A ceasar salad for $9 was a small portion for the money.
Pizza delicious as always 😊, server was very friendly but they always seem like in a hurry and this makes the atmosphere fee hurried or rushed. I suspect it's maybensue to a desire to turn tables over faster.
The decor and ambience in this place is relaxed classy yet casual and comfortable, you can go on a date, anniversary or with family here buy the hurried servers although friendly and professional should really slow down to contribute to what is an overall great restaurant experience. maybe I just notice these things but hurry all you want once you leave the table but the interaction with a customer should be relaxed and slower to establish repore with the customer and also to not make customers feel the whirlwind energy.

Slow down a bit chat with customers a bit, bigger ceasar portion on appetizer salad and honestly it's perfect. Minor tweaks but important. I'd still go here but would be even better with minor adjustments in
Y humble opinion. I always tel people about Cucina Chianti to out of towners.

We had a 7 pm reservation but were not seated until about 7:30pm. Waited standing at the bar, but were offered to purchase beverages as we waited. Food great, waitress nice and fast. It was loud, but we had been there before and expected it. Overall, we had fun and the food was very good.
