Amazing in every way, but kind of weird choice in music. 80's dance at medium volume in an empty upscale steakhouse? Don't get wrong, my wife and I were grooving on MJ's Thriller blasting at full volume, but it was odd...
Amazing! Our waitress made my birthday very special
My GF and I are regulars here. We celebrate promotions, birthdays... any reason to come really. Our last visit we decided to try something new since we regularly eat steaks here. The burger and porkchop were AMAZING! I must also add that they were a bargain. There is no hiding that this place can get pricey, I mean you get what you pay for x2! But, I must mention that these two items were reasonable and tasty. My only complaint will be that for paying $25 corkage fee I had to refill both our glasses too many times. Service was not up to Chianina standards our last visit as I have never needed to complaint, a one off by our waitress hopefully. I wish I could tip the cooks because they make this place! Will 100% continue to be a regular!
The environment was awesome, the food was delicious and our server Kyle was the best
Fabulous meal and ambiance!
Food was excellent. Best steaks we ever had. Service was wonderful, Kyle was very knowledgeable and personable. Wine was excellent but over priced.
This was our first time at Chianina, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for our anniversary. I would like to thank Vanessa for her help with the flowers. I can’t wait to come back. Thanks again for the fantastic experience
great steak yummy. A bit pricey but worth it cheesecake would be good.
Great food, great Bar. Old school excellent steakhouse. If your cousin from Jersey is a made guy and out on the Coast...take him here.
Loved the food- Tomahawk steak was very flavorful and presentation was great. Enjoyed Bone Marrow; first time trying it. Server was friendly and personable
Food was a little undercooked, tasted delicious though, server was weird
Everything was wonderful! Service very knowledgeable professional & excellent!
Had such a bad experience. They were out of everything on the menu and we had to wait a long time to order.
Excellent- just super busy as we dined on Sunday after Valentines Day and they were out of quite a few items. But the food they still had was delicious as usual.
Outstanding food, excellent wine selection, and superb service!! We came here for the first time on Valentine’s Day, and Chianina exceeded our already high expectations. The steak is authentically Italian-style (we’re from Northern Italy) and wonderfully tender. One of our best dining experiences in the U.S.!
It was a disappointing dinner. When we arrived and were seated, we were asked if we would like some hot buns and butter while looking at the menu. Of course we said sure and they were delicious. When the bill came there was a $6 charge for those buns. Next our wait staff asked my husband 2 times if he wanted a coke refill and of course he said yes. Bill comes with 3 charges for the coke at $3 each. We had the New York strip and shared it as it was a large portion. There was so much fat and gristle on the steak. I pointed it out afterwards to the wait staff who said she would make another but it would take so long due to their cooking process which as it was took over 30 minutes. We declined and were offered a dessert which we agreed to the red velvet cake which we took home. When I opened the container it was obvious the red velvet was store bought as the frosting wasn’t creamy and the cake was somewhat dry. We’ve eaten here a couple times and never had this experience especially for a high end restaurant.
We went for Valentine’s Day and had a 5 o’clock reservation. I was called the day before and confirmed. I was then called again the next morning at 0900 and told If I didn’t confirm again I would lose the reservation. This was stressful as they didn’t answer the phone when I called. I was called back eventually but I found their level of militance about two confirmations annoying. We were also told if we were more than 10 minutes late we would lose the reservation, so of course we arrived at 450 pm. They open at 5 so they made all the people arriving sit on the tiny hallway foyer. Very awkward. Letting is sit at the bar would have made more sense.
I ordered the tomahawk steak... and that was my mistake.. I have always wanted to try it but the intense level of fat was not good... I ordered it medium rare plus but quite a bit of it was very rare.
I have been to Chianina several times and this was the only time my food, service, and experience was not great. I think the level of stress they were feeling due to the holiday was bringing down the quality. Advice would be to relax a little... and focus on pleasing the customer.
I Loved It. I ordered the Delmonico and it was perfect. The staff is very very nice and conversational. I’ve already recommended Chianina Steak House to several friends and work colleagues.
While the food was great, the service was beyond terrible. And for what they charge for a meal, I expect better service. Had a reservation at 7:45. They told us they were running about 15 mins behind so we sqt in the bar and ordered cocktails. When 8:25 rolled around, we asked the hostess why we hadn't been seated yet and she replied, "if you have a reservation here, you should always expect to wait 15-20 mins to be seated." Then what was the point of my reservation? The general manager comped a bottle of wine for us for the wait. They were out of an item we ordered. Service was slow. And after they brought us the bill and we paid, the server came over with another bill explaining they forgot to charge us for the cocktails we had in the bar while we were waiting for our table. I'm sorry, but after making us wait nearly an hour for our table, forgetting to add those drinks to our bill AND we had already paid? You don't ask for more money. They should have eaten that cost. It's a shame, the food was good, but the service was so terrible that we vowed to not go back. We were shocked at how poorly we were treated.
Very inviting ambiance, excellent service, and delicious food. Steak was cooked perfectly and appetizers were delicious. Couldnt have asked for a better experience on a rare date night.
Kyle our server was excellent!!
Good food, nice ambiance
My wife enjoys steak well done and I mean well done. Her filet mignon steak was prepared to perfection first try. We often have to return it for another go around especially a thick filet as was this one. Not so at this restaurant. Service was fantastic. Our waiter Kyle was attentive and very friendly. No request was refused. Also they have an extensive spirits list particularly their whiskey list. It was terrific. The restaurant has an old school vibe. Really enjoyed it. As an added perk, they have valet parking. Parking in Naples/Belmont Shore can be a challenge. Not an issue here. Would recommend it.
The service was great and the staff very welcoming. The only drawback was my filet was over salted which was a disappointment. Otherwise the meat was perfectly cooked and we will definitely return.
Lack of flavor across the board. Our appetizers (beef tartar & shrimp cocktail) had no flavor. The shrimp were big but the cocktail sauce had little flavor. The wedge salad again had very mild flavor, the blue cheese didn’t even taste like blue cheese. Our New York steak was probably the worst steak we’ve ever had in our lives. It was nothing but fat, and not the delicious fat you can eat, but the gnarly kind you can’t even chew. Finally the service was subpar, we had to constantly wait for our plates and previous course to be cleared when the next course arrived and then had to wait for new plates and silverware to eat the current course. After our waitress took our order she kind of just didn’t come back to us. A real disappointment for our first date night our after our son was born.
Dine LA at Chianina was a great way to have a meal.
Dine LA menu was a great value. We were very happy with the quality of dishes. Steaks were cooked perfectly and with full of flavor.
Just one thing outside of food and services. The music was a bit too loud to carry conversation and also it kept on playing old songs from 70s and 80s. It could have been better with quieter music.
We were very happy with the dinner and will definitely go back sometime soon.
Honestly, overpriced and underwhelmed. I had been dying to come here and I wish it had lived up to my expectations. The filets my party ordered were not to the temps we requested, but sending them back is really not something we do. The house steak sauce tastes like ketchup with some A1 mixed in. The brussels were fine, but could have been charred a bit more. Service was okay, but felt like they were hovering too much and trying to upsell everything. If I am craving a steak at this price in Long Beach I will probably head to 555.
