About Chianina Steakhouse
The first time we tasted our namesake Chianina steak, we fell in love. It’s nearly impossible to find outside Italy, so we decided to raise Chianina cattle ourselves. It’s the best steak you’ll ever have, and this is one of the only restaurants in the country where you’ll find it. We believe good food and good experiences are meant to be shared. It’s in this spirit that we serve our bisetecca alla fiorentina—to be shared among friends.
Nothing at Chianina is typical. From our exceptional sides to our carefully curated wine list, each element is thoughtful. This unwavering attention to detail has contributed to our position as the top Zagat-rated steakhouse in Los Angeles.

Chianina Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
The place is very nice, waiters were very pleasant .
But, we had the filet and the lobster pot pie and they were very disappointing.
The filet was small and tasteless , did not stand on its own, maybe the staff knows this and immediately brings you a cream sauce to enhance the taste...too late
The lobster pot pie was more like a treasure hunt to find any lobster, small and again without salt was not very tasty.
We were there for an anniversary and after we paid the check the said they forgot and wanted to bring us a slice of cake but we were already standing so we passed
The positive, the drinks were very good and the bread and assortment of bread and butter
Another positive, location is great with lotsa restaurant so I suggest picking a different one
Incredible experience! My friends and I had a special holiday dinner here and we were all super impressed. Not only was the service impeccable, the food was unbelievably good - every single bite of it! I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone who's looking for a romantic night out with their significant other, or for an intimate, elegant meal with good friends. We will definitely be back!
To begin, the food was delicious. However, the service left much to be desired. Around us, we heard waiters describing the menu and speciality cocktails - our waiter was dry, uninformative and slowwwwww. There were also a ton of fruit fly’s flying around our head from the moment we received our drinks — that’s a big no no for me anywhere, let alone if we are paying $250+ for dinner.
My first experience at Chianinas was great, I got the Black Angus Steak and it was delicious, cooled perfectly. The server told me the Chianinas Steak was even better, from God himself. This return trip I tried the special Chianina steak and unfortunately it was so rare and undercooked we couldn't even chew it. We had it sent back 3 times before it finally came back as an actual medium rare. The server was terrific, absolutely delightful, and tried to make up for the bad steak with some free wine, but I was so looking fforward to that steak, the damage was done, I can't say I'll ever go back, at 300 dollars a meal, a 50 percent probability of being good isn't right in my opinion.
Chianina steakhouse is a delight. The bar man will make a drink from your chosen ingredient list and their signature cocktails are also wonderful. The food is outstanding, carefully prepared and wonderfully presented.
I have 50+ reasons to go back to enjoy this restaurant.
Our second visit here was to celebrate our anniversary. The staff made us feel special with a nice dessert and after dinner drink on the house. Overall the food was great, but to really enjoy the steaks it helps to go with more than two people. All of the steaks we wanted to try were too large for the both of us, so we were left with limited options.
The ambiance of the restaurant is great. The space is small and intimate. The service was attentive but not to intrusive. I took my wife there for her birthday. The food was very good. We had a very nice Cesar salad to start and the restaurant brought us 2 glasses of muscat on the house to start. Then we were brought a potatoe croquette amuse bouche. The main course was a ribeye with brussel sprouts and truffle Mac and cheese. Desert was a peach almond cake. They also brought my wife her own special desert. My only whish wold be the steak should be dry aged more. Other than that a perfect night
Our waiter Paul was attentive and jovial without being intrusive . He was knowledgeable about the items we ordered and made fantastic suggestions. Not only would we recommend the restaurant and make it a regular stop but we would highly recommend it and Paul as a waiter.
Our food was absolutely amazing! Unique tastes , beautiful presentation , great atmosphere, parking was perfect/easy even on the weekend. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and were presented with an extra dessert which was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended.
Quite simply, it was the best steak I've ever had. The breed of cow used (chianina beef) made this the most tender, flavorful steak I could imagine. The summer salad was equally satisfying as was the broccolini. Service was solid, friendly, yet formal. The wine list was well selected and reasonably priced. It's a bit pricey compared to other restaurants in the neighborhood, but it's worth it.
I'll be back.
It was my first time and it won't be my last. I cannot say enough about the service I experienced. Our waitress, Ciera, was attentive, recommended dishes, and she made us feel as if we have been long-time customers. Food was excellent, a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. Dessert, in my opinion, was the best course. I am a dessert queen and I recommend the Almond Tart. My friend had a Butter cake that isn't normally on the menu, but he happened to order a 4 course dinner, which came with the Butter cake, which I sneaked in a little taste and it was wonderful too!
I recommend Chianina Steakhouse. Even though it is a little on the pricey side, it isn't for everyone, but for that special occasion, its totally worth it! Ask for Ciera!
An attractive room and busy restaurant - food was outstanding and service courteous and brisk. No time for servers to chat and that is JUST fine with me.
Music was monotonous and a tad too loud when the restaurant was filled and everyone was talking. That cut into the ambiance at bit.
Very happy they have valet because parking can be difficult in that area. We were seated immediately but it took a while for the menus to get to us. My guest and I both ordered their special Dine LA 3 course option. The crab pasta was absolutely delicious and I could have eaten an entire entree size of it. My sirloin was cooked perfectly. Probably one of the best protein dishes I've ever had. If it wasn't for the dessert, I would have given this place five stars. The "strawberry shortcake" tasted like gross weird bread with whipped cream. I expected a place this nice to have a more impressive and tasty dessert. Overall, everything else was still nice and I would probably return and give them another chance.
My co-worker highly recommended this restaurant as a great date night location - she was right! This place was perfect for my fiance & I. We loved the food and the service was terrific! Thank you all so much for the wonderful experience.
