   Great dining experience - great ambience, excellent mains…. We had the sardines and lobster bisque to start - good but nothing special. The mains were delicious filet of Cherne and sea bass were off the charts. Desserts are excellent

   Absolutely amazing! For appetizers we had the sardines, clams, squid & goat cheese—which was my favourite. Mains, the cod & lamb. For dessert, the cheesecake, nato & crème brule. Everything was on point. The staff were excellent. I was a little worried, as I always am with anywhere I go as a Black woman, of how I’ll be received & yes there is plenty of cause to worry about. But that quickly waned with each server that provided us service. The good is fresh, simple & delicious.

   This lovely little place on college street is a constant go-to happy maker. It is upscale without being pretentious. The atmosphere is calming but still energetic. The hardest decision is what NOT to get. I've been a few times and the food and service has always been amazing. Inventive menu without straying from the simplicity of good ingredients. I got the octopus as a main and I've never been the same since! tender, delicious, well charred. It was so inviting that I forgot to take a picture for this review so ... just trust me! We also had the "dry soup" something I wasn't familiar with but something I will never ever forget! chunks of seafood ( lobster, clam, monkfish and friends) in a delicious herbaceous broth with bread ( in the broth) ... the idea is that the bread soaks up the delicious sauce. Heaven. Great place . you can't go wrong here

    Dinner was excellent. Came here for their Winterlicious menu and their pan seared skate fish on lemon spinach risotto, tomato jalapeño confit was delicious.

    It’s my third time. I was impressed the first two visits. There were 4 minutes from the time our cocktails were served to the time the appetizers arrived. So I let my appetizer sit on the table until I finished my Manhattan..15 minutes. Bad! Shortly after dessert, bill arrived so fast. I felt like we were rushed in spite of it not busy. It was a Thursday evening dinner

    Service was spectacular. Ambience was great. Food was good overall but…broccoli rabe tasted like rusty metal (perhaps cooked in an unclean pan). Vegetables accompanying the fish tasted bland.

    The greeter taking coats and giving direction was aggressive and seemed short-tempered. This was how we were introduced to the restaurant. It was cold and he barked at us to get in quickly and close the door. We did and then he repeatedly directed us to move in a different direction. You didn't feel warmly welcomed in any sense. In fact, we were left feeling like we were being disciplined. The waiting staff at the table went through the usual questions (drinks, etc.) but were not particularly attentive in that they took a very long time to take our order, didn't check in during our meal and raced through putting the dishes in front of us. The food was very good and well presented. For the prices being asked, the service needs serious improvement. For that reason, we are not likely to return. Too bad...the food was good.

    We had a very nice lunch when running errands downtown. The food was tasty and service was good, although they forgot a drink we ordered. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and flavours.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Chiado. The service was wonderful! Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the wine and menu. The food was delicious! We had the salmon tartar and the goat cheese & eggplant salad for appetizers and the monkfish and piri piri shrimp as our mains. The fish/seafood was cooked to perfection! We will definitely be return customers.

    This was our third time at Chiado, and it did not disappoint. This is such a great restaurant, and seems to fly under the radar a bit. Not sure why it was not included in the Michelin guide. Our meals were perfectly prepared and full of flavour. Our server Juda, was very knowledgeable, professional and pleasant. Chiado continues to be an excellent dining experience that we can depend on. It has become a regular spot for us.

    It was my birthday. I went with my family. All food that we ordered was very, very good: bisque, chorizo, cod, capon rooster, black spade fish, natas do céu and molotof. Our server Orlando was very thoughtful and friendly. Everything was delightful! We’ll come back for sure!
