My parents were visiting from out of town and we had dinner there. It was such a great meal! We loved everything from the food, to the wine, to the service and ambiance. It was delicious and a great experience.
My daughter took my wife and I out for Father’s Day. Bar, food, service, atmosphere, in fact everything was very well done!
Excellent customer service. Escargo, mushroom soup, and lamb were awesome. I have eaten here many times and the food and customer service is always excellent. They have a great drink selection as well.
had the scallops in tarragon sauce ,sauce was great but only served 3 scallops for a main course with a spoon full of rice and few vegetables , the escargot with garlic butter and a touch of Ricard is a joke , there was more Ricard than anything plus they did not have bread with the escargot to sop up the "garlic butter" . The steak special according to my family was okay as well as the pork.
I was not impressed with this restaurant. The food and service was mediocre. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant which seemed a bit unusual at 7:45 in the evening. We were seated by a window with a view of the downtown like area, which we liked. We ordered pâté and Magret de Canard with one request, that the sauce be put on the side because my niece likes the duck plain. The pâté was dry and tasted like some sort of fish. Not fishy or bad tasting, just not what we were used to. Then the entree came and the sauce had been poured over the duck rather than left on the side like requested. The measly serving of vegetables looked shriveled up like they’d been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. We ate a few bites to see if we could enjoy it as is but when the server returned we reminded him about the sauce request. He took the plate and returned in a few minutes with half the original portion of duck on the plate and what looked like the vegetables from the original plate and somehow the potatoes on the second plate tasted extra salty.
The whole experience was rather disappointing. I’m not planning on returning.
Fantastic food! Great waiter. We really enjoyed it. Certain to go back!
Most definitely! I have recommended it often to friends and co-workers.
Great French food, great service and atmosphere and I highly recommend
I was sad to see they had a special menu for Mother's Day, as I even looked for this on their website before making the reservation. The food was not as good as past experiences and the portion sizes were so small for the price. I actually left hungry. The Creme Brulee tasted like it had been pre-made and then heated up. It was more the consistency of flan and very watery. And $10 for a tiny little mimosa was definitely overpriced. It was supposed to be mango but we only tasted orange.
We had a reservation for 2 at 7 on a Saturday night. What really disappointed us was the lack of service when we arrived. There wasn’t a hostess and no one asked if we needed help. I had to flag someone. They were busy, but seemed like they couldn’t handle it with the staff they had. Once we got sat it took a little while for our server to come over. Service from then on was mediocre. I expected it to be better considering the restaurant we were at. The food tasted great and portions were on the small side. Overall the experience was ok, but we likely won’t return.
Really enjoyed the variety of the food and obviously taste was great
Best place to celebrate Mother's Day or any occasion. Best Food, Outstanding Service. Highly recommended.
Wonderful meal, first time there...will go back again...
Chez Vincent is probably the fanciest restaurant in Winter Park and maybe even the greater Orlando area. I easily made reservations for a Monday evening through Google. We arrived for dinner but because they were not busy they were able to prepare Crepe Bourguignon from their Lunch menu which made my date very happy. I had their soupe de joure and one of their specials which both tasted amazing. Our server also made a very good wine suggestion. A wonderful experience.
This is our third visit. We all dine in Hannibal's section that has the live music. On our previous two visits the service was excellent, on this last one it seems that they were understaffed. We will not put this against them and look forward to returning.
Comfortable with good food, right sized portions and a wonderful staff. More folks appeared in casual outfits than I’m used too. My wife and I enjoy dressing a bit more stylish than most for a good meal and drinks
Always an excellent dinning experience. Vincent is a great host.
Salad was pathetic and pasta was goopie crap. Horrible.
Absolutely the best restaurant I've been and the best food ever! Utmost authentic French cuisine. Chef Vincent was graciously enough to stop by our table to make sure everything was perfect and we got to take a picture with him too! Seriously the best restaurant in Orlando!!!!
Great brunch. Still the best French restaurant in Central Florida.
We had a wonderful dinner at Chez Vincent. My husband and I were celebrating my birthday and we were not disappointed. For appetizers I had l'escargot and my husband had the carrot soup - both yummy. For the entrees we had Coquilles St. Jacques and the filet, both delicious. Our desserts were crème brulee and the chocolate and mousse cake (with a candle!). We will definitely be back.
We have always enjoyed Chez Vincent, but this time was a bust. Service was poor....we were seated we were overcharged for the win (It was promptly corrected when they were notified); the pen to sign the bill didn't work.
We both ordered fish for dinner & they both arrived overcooked . The trout was inedible. We complained to the waiter & was offered a complimentary desert.
The Mushroom soup was wonderful & the salad was , also, very good.
An unusually disappointing experience.
Second time there for a Birthday dinner. Service was great and we took his suggestion on the specials and desserts.
Had a wonderful time and did enjoy the food. Will recommend this restaurant to be on your favorite list
Ask for the price on the catch of the day special. Almost double the cost of their other fish dishes #unpleasantsurprise
Over priced for quantity and quality of food. Vegetables were over cooked and grouper fish tasteless
Had their sampler plate, both the meat and the fish. Both had one or two things that were not very good. Ordered a Ceasar salad, but never got it.
Good food, terrible server
My husband and I just returned to our Bay Area (CA) home after our quarterly check in on my aging parents. We wanted to treat them to a special dinner out and selected Chez Vincent, as we have many fond memories of family dinners there over many years. I had hoped the restaurant was still as special now as it was the last time we dined there a couple of years ago. If anything, it was even better! We had a comfortable table and while there was a good crowd on Saturday evening, we could still carry on an engaging conversation without having to shout. Our waiter (very French!) was attentive, informative, and accommodating. He was particularly helpful in selecting a (French) wine that worked for each of our entrees (we live in California wine country and need help with these things). We’ll definitely return to Chez Vincent on a future visit!
What a great restaurant for real french food. My wife loved the duck. I had the fillet mignon and scallop dinner, perfect. The Cabernet of the month was wonderful
We will be back soon
Food was very good and well priced. I’ve had better duck breast but it was still pretty solid.
Food quality has gone way down over the years. The cheese plate looked like something I would put together at home for a snack for my toddler. The filet was just ok and the mashed potatoes tasted like they were instant. Won’t be visiting again.
Very attentive service. They have French server which provides you with honest recommendation. Food is really well presented and flavorful. You have to try at least once.
Celebrated my wife's "special" birthday. She wanted the best and selected CV based on past experience. Throughout this area we are fortunate to have solid choices of good restaurants and very good restaurants, but for "special" there are only two. Ambiance was charming and the food fantastic; both enhanced I believe by the exceptional service. The knowledgeable and attentive server engaged easily in conversation, was confident in his recommendations and managed well the pace of the course delivery by keeping an eye on us, which does not happen that often at all establishments. The dining was everything and more. No surprises, no disappointments. It clearly reminded us of why we keep CV in our top tier while challenging us to reconsider our criteria to promote a few more occasions to "special". Great visit. I'm already looking forward to Arbor Day.
We go to Chez Vincent often The food is always of high quality. Service is always good, but our waiter that night was outstanding. Our go to place for a night out.
Amazing food, beautiful atmosphere and superb service
Amazing ambience & excellent food! The service & location is also very good!
Food taste was average for floridian french food, however presentation was subpar. For the price paid, this place is way off the mark, and we will not be coming back. That being said, it is light years ahead of Le Coq Au Vin, which is akin to the McDonald's of french food, and is light years behind many average french restaurants in Texas and California. That being said, although the quality of the plating of my sea bass was on the level of Furr's Cafeteria, the taste was excellent, and cooked excellently. My wife's grouper unfortunately lacked any quality presentation, and was quite overcooked and hardened.
We went for lunch. We started with the excellent mushroom soup. What a treat. My wife had the salmon. She raved about it. I had the chicken crepes. I love the sauce. We had a most enjoyable lunch.
Love this restaurant but disappointed that there wasn't a note that Valentine's Day would have a limited, more expensively That menu did not even have escargot the appetizer my wife was looking forward too. Would have changed our reservation to Saturday if I had known of the limited menu and the price
