   My friend and I celebrated her birthday with the afternoon tea. The restaurant is beautiful as is the hotel. The server Joshua was wonderful, explaining how the tea would be served and taking our tea and champagne orders quickly after being seated. He checked for any food allergies or intolerance. The food was all very good, fresh tasting, beautiful presentation. The pacing of the food was just right, we were checked on just the right amount of times. The desserts that we asked to take home were placed neatly in a heavy duty container and placed in a lovely Peabody. It is a special occasion type of meal, but can't wait for another opportunity to visit again.

   We celebrated my sister’s 60th birthday at the Chez Philippe. I made reservations for the afternoon tea, which was very easy to do on Chez’s website. We had a wonderful experience with lasting memories. Our server Joshua was excellent and very attentive. We highly recommend trying the afternoon tea at Chez Philippe for a great tea experience !

   I have done my fair share of prix fixe and tasting menus but The Peabody’s Chez Philippe is my favorite dining experience by far. My husband and I made a 7PM Sunday reservation for the first evening we stayed at the Peabody. There were two other tables occupied when we walked in but it filled up as the night went on, though never to a point where it was loud or chaotic. Our server, Joshua, was kind and attentive, and it felt like we were old friends by the end of the night. Even though the setting was regal, with a very formal waitstaff, everyone was so welcoming and made us feel so relaxed during our meal. We also mentioned it was our anniversary and everyone, from the host who sat us to the incredible chef, stopped to wish us well. We chose the four-course prix-fixe menu with wine pairings for each course. For the first course, my husband had the Celeriac Scarpinocc (a stuffed pasta) and I chose the Morel Mushrooms, which were definitely the best mushrooms I’ve ever had and perhaps my favorite dish of the evening. I also tried my husband’s dish, which was incredible. For the second, we had tuna crudo (best yellowtail I’ve ever had!), waygu strip for the third (beautifully prepared), and, at Joshua’s recommendation, the lime leaf posset (amaaaaazing). We also enjoyed the amuse-bouche, bread course, with warm pull-apart buns and a delicious spread of black garlic, plum, and sturgeon butters, and tiny, delicious bites between courses. There was also a palette cleanser in between our second and third course. Joshua asked us to join him in the kitchen, where we were greeted by the chef and given a gorgeous palate cleanser—it was such a special experience! After our dessert, plus surprise macarons, Joshua brought us a gift bag with fresh-baked cookies from the chef and a hand-written card wishing us happy anniversary from the staff. Everything was perfect from start to finish. I can’t wait to dine here the next time we’re in Memphis. Thank you Chez Philippe!

   Great new experience! Our server Riley really helped us understand the culture behind afternoon tea and was super kind. My mother and I spent Mother’s Day here and had a wonderful time. The chefs accommodated my seafood allergy! Staff was super friendly and helpful. Great place to visit. Thank you.

   With over 20 years of experience dining around the world—including at numerous Michelin-starred restaurants from one to three stars—I found our evening at Chez Philippe to be a truly delightful surprise. We both chose the tasting menu to fully appreciate the breadth of Chef Clinton’s culinary artistry. From the very beginning, the service was polished, warm, and genuinely welcoming, setting the tone for an evening of exceptional hospitality. Each course was thoughtfully composed, showcasing refined technique, exquisite flavor, and an elegant balance of taste and texture. It was clear that great care went into every dish, making this one of the most memorable dining experiences we've had in Memphis. Kudos to Chef Clinton and his talented kitchen team. With such a strong foundation and vision, his name is sure to remain among the rising stars of American cuisine.

   Great meal, so many extra little extras, all over the top. Nice touch of meeting the Chief in the kitchen during the meal. It is expensive, but worth every penny. Best dinner in Memphis!

    I had actually booked in for afternoon tea from the UK. We were told that had finished had to have taster menu . We were veggie also didn't eat seafood/fish . Food was nice although tiny portions ,chef probably did fantastic presentation . Were not prepared for a 400 doller bill .
