Well after living in Memphis for 37 years we decided to go eat here after it was voted the #1 Best Hotel Restaurant in America!! It truly lives up to that award. Fine dining. Excellent staff. Warm friendly environment. Exactly what you need when you celebrate a great birthday, anniversary, friends, family, or just want a romantic great evening together!! Bravo!!

Our waiter was fantastic but he was severely overwhelmed. Not sure if they were short staffed or refused to hire more help, but for fine dining and $250 per person meal he should not have to do the wine pairings, water refills, table setting and clearing,serving, food explanations, etc. he had to do it all for 11 tables. At times kitchen staff came to help a bit. We went without water and drink refills for most of the meal. They need to hire more or seat less guests.

Tied with Andrew Michael for the best food I’ve had in Memphis. The ambiance was quiet and elegant and our server Chris was charming and pleasant. Perfect for our anniversary. I only wish we had ordered a wine bottle as the wine pairings were not exactly what we would have chosen.

This was absolutely an incredible place to eat. I took my boyfriend here for his birthday, and we were blown away. The food quality was amazing. We did the 7 course meal, and the steak was insanly good!! We loved the decor, and the ambience was nice. Our server was wonderful. I would definitely recommend going here. 👌

My wife and I went to the Sunday afternoon Tea. She is very familiar with this as she lived in Europe for many years. It was extremely nice. It brought many memories of her younger years in the service while stationed in Europe. I highly recommend this. The tea was wonderful, along with the servings. The food was wonderful and not to much. We enjoyed this on our last day. Will do this again.

I am not usually one to take the time to write reviews but due to the amount of money we spent I felt it was necessary. My wife and I went for our anniversary and let me start by saying my rating would have been less if it was not for the wonderful service we received from Chris. I have eaten at many fine dining restaurants and my wife is from Peru with some of the best food in the world. Yes, I expected unique foods and small portions but when the hotels in room dining crème brûlée is better than the restaurant’s something is wrong. It was an experience but definitely not one worth the money. The only thing we paid for that was worth it was the tip.

Afternoon tea at Chez Phillipe is a full service experience. I brought my 13 year old sister for her birthday and we both had an amazing time. The food was mediocre st best. Tasted premade and refrigerated. The selection of sandwiches was minimal and not traditional tea fare at all. Some was inedible. For $65 per person it was a rip off.

I have always loved The Chez Phillippe Tea. However, I noticed a drastic lowering of the amount of food. I was very surprised. It seems you get a lot less than in the past. It's a great environment and service is always great but a lot less sandwiches for either the same or higher price. I have been going for years and this was definitely different. Nonetheless the food is very good and the staff and service but just less.

Chose this venue for celebration of my husband’s 68th birthday. Excellent service, food unique . Excellent choices prepared by the chef. Never experienced such excellent customer service, attentiveness by staff,food selection, meeting with chef and explanation of food choices by staff helped us understand presentation. Worth the price . This experience will be remembered as one of the most memorable celebrations for my husband's birthday.
