I've been a patron of theirs ever since their Fort Greene days and the experience is never a disappointment... only when I finish my food.

I love this restaurant. The food is good. My favorite is the lamb burger. The cocktails are also nice. I'm glad that they are in my neighborhood.

Went in for Sunday brunch and loved the atmosphere! Beautiful and tasteful Christmas decor. I had to move our reservation back a couple of times as we were running late and the manager was very nice and understanding. He said it was his first managing shift too and we thought he did a great job! Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Definitely coming back!

First time dining there based off the suggestion of a local friend. Loved it ! We ordered three appetizers, the French Onion soup was perfect, all of the flavors came alive with each spoonful Nothing dominating or overpowering a harmonious rendition of a classic. Grilled octopus perfectly done not over cooked at all but again a dish that anyone can enjoy with one of their cold beers on tap. We opted for a white beer which was perfect with the dish as it was with the Escargot prepared in the classic style Lots of bread for dipping and its served with roasted garlic and on the table EVOO I love restaurants that serve roasted garlic It’s healthy and not overpowering. Main course was the spicy lamb burger perfectly done with French fries individually cooked for the dish and not precooked and held warm. Lamb burger spicy but not overwhelming again perfect harmony with the cheese tomato and onion and home made ketchup. I am not a dessert person just a coffee fiend and sat back and enjoyed a delicious cafe au lait on a rainy Friday night. No pressure to leave despite how busy the restaurant was. Energetic and wonderful bar. Great service reasonable prices. We will definitely return .

My in laws were in town visiting and I brought them here. The food was spectacular! Great service as well!

Service was friendly and warm but could use more efficiency. We received our entrees bf we received our bottle of wine. The food was mediocre at best. I will return for drinks and maybe snacks.

The service was terrible. They got the order wrong three times and it took them almost 45 minutes to get it right. Other than that we loved the place. Great ambience and the food was good

Went for Sunday brunch, and everything was fabulous. Delicious food and the cutest ambiance! I felt like i was sitting outdoors even though we were inside. I can't wait to go back for the live music at night!

Thank you to our French waiter who was very attentive and courteous. Thenks for the surprise fireworks and desert brought to our table with song. The best 51st wedding anniversary ever! WE WILL BE BACK!!

I went here for brunch with several girlfriends as a lovely end to a fabulous bachelorette weekend. The food was delicious, the cocktails strong, and the service impeccable. The ambiance was lovely, too! Highly recommend!

Very friendly service. Attentive waiter. Food was served within a reasonable time frame. Courses were spaced evenly. Convivial atmosphere. If it’s your first time, you feel as if you have been here before. Courteous staff. No pressure.

We were disappointed with the mussels. Some were gritty and they were fairly small.

Dining at Chez Oskar was an eclectic experience...mismatched but comfy furnishings, diverse clientele, classic French menu with a couple of twists. No background music, so easy to talk. Friendly, helpful server. Our three dinners were outstanding. Interesting beer and cocktails. A winner.
