What an amazing restaurant! We don’t need to drive in to LA anymore for outstanding food, with a fun scene and a lot of loyal locals. This is our new fav restaurant!!!!!

This place is by far the best in the Southbay. Food is amazing, the cocktails and wine list is highly elevated. If your passionate about good food, drinks and service I️ highly recommend Sea Change at Chez Melange. There are 3 great concepts all under one roof. Bouzy’s Gastropub in front for a casual experience, Sea Change in the back for a nicer ambiance and more elevated dishes, and Bar 150 in the very back that offers a beautiful Raw Bar that has an intimate feel with a unique experience to dine with the raw bar Chef. Under Chez Melange’s roof, you can get everything you desire. Highly recommend.

This is by far my favorite restaurant in the South Bay. The menu changes everyday and the food is absolutely amazing. On point 👌🏻 I highly recommend. Sharing different plates is the way to go. And everyone makes you feel at home. I'll be back here for when I'm looking for great food.

The food arrived cold, the shared veggies were served before the main coarse arrived, the waiter took the drink order one drink at a time and they arrived one drink at a time. One guest did not get what she ordered. Very disappointed compared the the early days of Chez Melange.

We really enjoyed our lunch. Food and drinks were really good. Loved my “EggSlut” sandwich and the Mimosa flight. We were somewhat taken aback that we were seated way in the back rather than in the front. Kind of isolated and quiet and we were more in a Party mood.

This review is actually for Sea Change, one of 3 restaurants under the Chez Melange umbrella. The dining experience was excellent from start to finish. Artisan bread, super shrimp cocktail with a robust cocktail sauce, tender short rib with accompanying lobster mac&cheese. My wife also enjoyed her Artic Char - all this followed by a delightful apple galette for desert. Server was excellent, knew the menu well and provided wonderful dining recommendations. We’ll definitely be back.

The menu changes daily. The choices offered depend on whatever is fresh that day. A healthy, tasty variety of choices from fish to steak. The chef knows how to use the right spices & herbs to create a delicious meal.

Food and service are top rate. I do feel that their wine list is somewhat limited in that I would prefer to see some more medium priced white wines.

We had a well-meaning but flaky waiter that kept leaving our table before all 4 of us had placed our drink orders, then it happened again when we each tried to order appetizers, and again when we tried to order dessert and coffee. We had to call him back every time.
But the worst part was when one of our friends, a Vegan, asked for plain pasta with a few veggies from the "sides" menu thrown in: The Chef came out to our table and asked if the Vegan diner wanted "Fish!" The diner explained that Vegan meant plant-based foods such as plain pasta and grilled or steamed vegetables. Our Vegan diner eventually received a plate of pasta and veggies--but with "Cheese" on top. We gave up at that point. But we were all aghast that a "Chef" did not understand what Vegetarian, Vegan, and other diet designations meant. We will NOT be dining there again.

We have lived in the South Bay for ten years and had never gone here. What a surprise gem! The menu was very diverse. It was hard to decide what to have and we went seafood and were very happy. Food at other tables looked awesome as well. We will be back!

The Stilton salad came without the stilton and was overdressed. The waitress was informed of the lack of cheese but nothing was done. The lobster roll was tasteless and the chunks of lobster were tough. The seafood stew was delicious.

I admit I was disappointed that the menu was changed a few weeks ago to primarily seafood as I was looking forward to a filet. I ordered the grilled salmon which was very dry. My husband had the seafood stew which he really enjoyed. Service was great, but I will probably not return due to the current menu.

Chez Melange is our favorite neighborhood restaurant. They just had a remodel in the back that came out beautiful. The menu also transformed into a mix of fabulous seafood- Sea Change- but the favorite basics are still available. We started with a sea kelp salad and hamachi appetizer- both were superb. My friend had scallops which she let me try and they were rich and plump and so good. I had a special fish with a very spicy, peppery Thai flavored glaze. Really yummy. Our server- Gary is the best in the industry. We always ask to be in his station because he knows the menu, recommends the best and is a joy to visit with. You will LOVE this restaurant. Everything is always done to perfection. Cheers!

Chez Melange had completely revamped their menu and even the name of the restaurant, Sea Change at Chez Melange, just a day or so before our visit. Needless to say, we were a little apprehensive but there was nothing at all to worry about! In fact, Robert Bell may just be at the peak of his culinary powers. The menu, focusing on seafood now, displays an amazing degree of creativity, but still retains several Chez favorites for the meat lovers. My entree, a perfectly cooked Ono in a Thai inspired coconut curry broth was subtly spicy with a marvelously balanced and aromatic herbal blend. We've been fans of Franks and Bell restaurants from the mid 70s and this may have been the best entree they've ever served me! My wife's petrale sole, a difficult fish to cook, was perfect... moist and flakey. Many restaurants hide the results of overcooking by oversaucing but not Chef Bell. A subtle butter glaze allowed the sole's flavor to shine through and the bed of vegetable "hash" was the perfect complement. Wow, there's really nothing more to say except... Viva la Sea Change!!

My wife and I returned for a nice end if the week dinner. We were greeted by one if the owners and led to our table. Once seated, the entire staff was very attentive to all of our needs and helped us with our selections. Michael brought us pita with hummus and Scotch Eggs as a treat. The Scotch Eggs aren't even in the menu, but was amazing. I could eat those all day long. I love eggs and I love sausage, so it is the perfect combination. We both started with a ceasar salad, which tasted fresh and delicious. My wife ordered the flatiron steak with potatoes instead of fries and I ordered the duck Kung Pao which tasted better than most Chinese restaurants I have been to. The flatiron steak was prepared perfectly (medium rare) and the potatoes were awesome with a cheese crust. We got the exotic mushrooms for a side and Michael brought us their cauliflower dish for us to try. Both were loaded with flavor. To end the night my wife and I shared the bread pudding which was moist and the frosting wasn't over bearing. Overall, a perfect dining experience.

Our group enjoyed an incredible cauliflower soufflé, charred octopus for appetizers..For main course succulent scallops, Kung Pao duck, incredible sea bass and barramundi. Overall the food cannot be beat especially coupled by an eclectic wine list handpicked by coowner Michael Franks
