Chevys - Lake Buena Vista Ratings and Reviews
My family has always enjoyed dining at Chevys. We love the salsa! They make it with vegies that have been cooked over the open grill - sorta blacked - and the salsa is THE BEST anywhere - and worth the drive if you love salsa. They do guacamole - made fresh at your table! we like the fajitas best! They have great salads too!
I have been to this location a few times in 9 years and it keeps changing. Last time the food was not so great. This time the menu has changed and the food was excellent. The salsa was not what I am used to from any Hispanic restaurant, but tasty none the less. The service was friendly if a bit lax. Possibly because we were not ordering a lot of food and drinks we did not warrant the attention one usually gets. Not a hot spot for me but the food made it worthwhile.
We have come to Chevy’s each time we have come to Orlando. This time, the food was prepared well, but I didn’t enjoy it as much as previous visits. Don’t blame the restaurant. My tastes have made a radical change this year and there are a lot of foods I have eaten all of my life that I don’t like now. Our server was spectacular. She knew the menu so well and made great suggestions and was very attentive.
We had a group of ten people for a Saturday night dinner next to the Walt Disney World Resort and it was really simple to make a reservation on my phone with all of the pertinent information that was needed for our party. The whole experience was great! We arrived at the scheduled time and our table was ready on a busy Saturday night. The reservation process was superior to talking with a young hostess on the phone that many times gets the information wrong and makes you wait longer for a large group due to erroneous information about your party. The food at this restaurant was great and the service for ten people was wonderful. This is our first experience with this reservation system and we loved it! I would highly recommend the restaurant as well as the ease of making a reservation on -line that works!
My family and I have been big on Chevys for many years, and unfortunately this is the only location left near us. With that being said, it’s been over a year since our last visit. This location has definitely made some renovations. It’s beautiful and spacious. Our server was Ashley. She was very friendly and attentive to us. We didn’t need to ask for refills for drinks or chips/dip! She was one step ahead of us! With that and her excellent service, I give her five stars!
I used open table for the first time, but was nervous. I called Chevys to confirm and Katy was fabulous! I asked if we could have a big round table to accommodate a wheelchair and she said she would make a note.
Great experience, and the server wore gloves when he brought the food! Definite plus when you have health issues.
Chevys missed the boat tonight. The server did an excellent job but the kitchen didn't live up to his standards.
The soup came out cold and really salty.
The steak fajitas, way over cooked and hardly any grilled vegetables on the skillet.
The chips and salsa are good as well as the drinks, maybe just go for these and don't order food.
This place has gone down hill over the past couple of years. We noticed this time around that they have raised the prices for smaller portions. We ordered table side quac. The avocados were stringy. And brown. It was tasteless and you don't get a lot. Not worth the $10. We also got the mesquite chicken tacos. I've had them several times before and you would get three. Now for the same price you get two. The chicken was cold and dried out. They clearly cook the chicken in advance and keep it in the fridge. I used to be a big fan of Chevys so this was very disappointing. I don't think we will ever return.
Food was great. Margaritas were great. Server was great. Good time was had by all. I thought it was going to be too noisy to hear when we first walked in, but they put us at a booth near the back and it was great. We each had a different Margarita and meal and all tasted great.
