Chelsea Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
A good discovery for an area which is lacking in restaurant choices. The pasta choices are wide ranging and the pasta sauces for both me and my friend were delicious. Definitely try the mushroom and sausage antipasti. My friend got it with papardelle and it was yummy. I had the gemelli with pancetta, onions, etc. which was so good. Will definitely be back.
Staff was very kind and accomodating. The service was truly friendly. We never needed to call staff to the table. They were always attentive. Wine selection was excellent. Food was really good and very well presented. Finally, dessert was wonderful and they made it even more special with a presentation celebrating the occassion. Highly recommended the black pasta with salmon, sole filet, artichokes ... dessert: bomba.
I chose Chelsea Ristorante by location, sometimes a risky thing to do. My friend and I were delighted with the food, the service and the ambiance. Delicious Italian food served in a traditional style. Fresh ingredients. All in all, a lovely dinner. Can’t wait to go back.
We were getting together with friends in from out of town. I had never been here. The restaurant is lively and fun. They seated us after a drink at the bar. The menu has many interesting options and we enjoyed a terrific anti pasta round, wonderful entrees and a freshly prepared tiramisu for dessert. The service was friendly and professional and the food was fresh, tasty and good. I'd go here again in a minute! We had a great evening here.
We were looking for an opening on a busy holiday season Friday evening and CR was able to accommodate our small party of 3. I had eaten at the restaurant several years ago, but honestly had limited recollection of my experience. Well, we had a lovely time with some really nice Italian cuisine with fun and engaging service staff. It was the kind of evening that will have me going back because it was the overall experience rather than just piece that convinced.
Chelsea's Italian gem. Arriving at Chelsea Ristorante is a warm experience. Friendly, professional, welcoming people take care of you fort he instant you enter. Drinks food and wine are always just what the doctor ordered. Everyone excels at hospitality and the Chicken Scarpaiola is excellent!
Consistently excellent! This is the best Italian Restaurant in Chelsea, and it competes with the best in New York. What makes this place so special is the very warm greeting, the excellent professional service and of course the very good Italian food that is served from the large menu. Chelsea Ristorante never disappoints and it is a place that I would recommend very highly.
Have not been to Chelsea Ristorante for years. I found it better than before, excellent in fact. The green fettuccine was delicious as was the fried zucchini. Their cappuccino was the best. Good cocktails. The service was right-on, friendly, efficient and welcoming. This is a well managed restaurant. They know what they are doing.
Wish this place were in San Francisco, where I live! Am thrilled to have found this family-owned
sweet and terrific Italian restaurant in Chelsea. I'll definitely head back here next time I'm in the City. The crab tomato sauced pasta is spectacular, and the pizza is perfect- beautifully thin and so tasty. Thank you, Chelsea Ristorante!!
The service is good. Main dishes are good. Food is a little skimpy, especially the salads and the vegetables served with main dishes. I'd be ashamed to serve that tiny quantity of vegetables.Salads are not great, especially for the cost. Caprese salad is two pieces of mozzarella and two unripe tomatoes for $15. Wine is amazingly overpriced for the inferior quality wine that is served. Suggest beer or a cocktail alternative.
These guys treat us like royalty every time. Donnie, Ajid, Lab and the rest of the crew always make us feel welcome and special. The Spaghetti alla Vongole was delicious and large for an appetizer portion, the Veal Valdostana is my favorite and always exceptional.
Simple yet elegant & absolutely delicious food with lovely & solicitousness staff. Love the outdoor, outdoor/ indoor or indoor options. Our first visit to this sparkling gem of a restaurant which most certainly will not be our last! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!!
