Chef Fredy's Table Ratings and Reviews
The food here is always good and New Year's Eve was no exception. I've come here on quite nights as well as noisy and it doesn't really matter the Ambiance is great and you never feel rushed. One piece of feedback, our waiter was not very friendly at any time in the evening. It may have just been due to it being a holiday, but that is the exception as my past experiences at this restaurant has been that the staff is friendly and informative. I look forward to coming back again soon.
My wife and I had a date night on a Thursday so it wasn't as crowded as a fri/Sat night. The atmosphere was great, service very efficient without feeling rushed. the food was excellent. I opted for the Salmon and my wife the surf and turf as a main course and the Baked Brie for starters. Finishing off with the raspberry mouse and coffee for dessert. We are definitely planning a return to this local gem when it gets a bit warmer out.
The service was lovely and the food was fine, but for what it was, it was very overpriced. Small portions and unimaginative dishes didn’t seem commensurate with the price. It is right across from AMC theater which makes it very convenient but I would try another restaurant before I’d return to Chef Freddy’s.
This is our absolute favorite restaurant! The service is amazing - friendly, attentive, accommodating and personal. The food is delicious no matter what you order., presented perfectly & so much to choose from. Everyone from the owner, to the chef to the servers make this experience top notch. There is literally something for everyone. This was our third time here and we have plans to return.
I booked Chef Fredy's through Open Table on a whim. We wanted to dine with another couple and picked Morristown because it was a centralized location-we would drive north and they would drive south. Since there there were several restaurants to choose from, I just picked the first one that had a good rating but made sure it was a BYOB. I highly recommend! Everything was delicious; the place was packed, and we used the Valet service for $10 which we were thankful for because 1. my husband can't walk far and 2. it was cold out!
This place was amazing! Our waiter was easily the best waiter I’ve had out at any restaurant I’ve been to (and it’s funny I say that because I don’t recall his name, but he was the maitre d’s brother). Food was really good, I would definitely come back to Chef Fredy’s. Overall great restaurant experience!
Our first time, will not be our last! Our evening started by the surprise valet service($10) and then the warm greeting by the owner Lester.
The menu had great choices and wonderful specials too.The waiter was very helpful and attentive during our dinner.
We also enjoyed that it’s BYOB.
A definite addition tour our restaurant choices!
Dinner was excellent - the selection of appetizers and entrees was perfect - along with some tantalizing specials. The octopus and calamari appetizers were cooked to perfection. Our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly and solicitous without being intrusive. We shared desserts and all were wonderful.
LOVE THIS MENU!! Great service even with the busy night with two "Special Dinners" making it noisier than usual. The menu never has less than 3 options making it a difficult choice. This just ensures that I will return another evening. Our party of 4 had the Osso Bucco, a Black Bass entree, Jambalaya and a Hugh Veal Chop. Tasting each others choices just underscored the delicious menu offerings. The only downside was the noise level when we first arrived. But this will not keep me from recommending this gem of a restaurant for a night out. Love the BYO ability too.
Outstanding. We were a little concerned because online menu was limited, but the chef specials provided plenty of variety. The grilled octopus was delicious, as was the ravioli sampler. We did not care for the tuna tartare since it had too much soy sauce. (The only negative of the night.). The osso bucco was amazing as was the surf and turf. Another great entree was the chillian sea bass.
Service was friendly and professional. We felt
Like we were in a trendy NYC restaurant.
Looking forward to going back.
We have dined at Fredy’s a few times and have never been disappointed. The menu and the food this time was even better. The stuffed pepper appetizer and scallop appetizer were both delicious. Beside the printed specials there were also recited specials which included a veal ossobucco that melted in your mouth. The surf and turf with shrimp was really enjoyed by one friend as was the seared tuna special. The vegetable and risotto accompaniments were also great. We will certainly be back and would highly recommend this restaurant.
My boyfriend and I were very pleased with our date night at Chef Freddy's. We have heard good things about this restaurant and decided to try it out. It was delicious! Good portion sizes and good service. It's a BYO and there is a liquor store right next door if you forget or if you run out of wine. I had one of the special dishes, sea bass and served with mushroom risotto and my boyfriend had the chicken and pasta. Both meals were delicious. Overall, it was a great meal and we would definitely go back!
I first started going to Chef Fredy's about six months ago. I have been there about 10 times. I do not know why there is not a line out the door. The food is terrific. I can highly recommend the Crab Tower and the Jambalaya as two of my favorites. It is BYOB, which I like due to the cost savings, with the added benefit of literally having a liquor store right next door. A liquor store that has a very good selection of wines at various prices.
