I made a reservation at 5:15 pm on May 8, 2021 on here and confirmed it. When I arrived, I was notified by the hotel that it was cancelled. They said Round table app was supposed to notified me but it didn’t. Because I made reservation with the third party (round table), there is nothing they can do. However, they can accommodate for a 7:00 pm appointment. It took me an hour and half to drive there, I decided to stay. Again, on this app it shows the Checkers restaurant but in the reality Checkers has been closed for a year due to pandemic. They open the roof top only for few appetizers and drinks menu. The waiter was extremely nice but he was the only serving for the whole rooftop around 5 tables.
I would like to hear from Round Table an explanation about my reservation and faulty market the restaurant.
The view is beautiful! The wings were so delicious! Service is fantastic. I would def make it another of my rooftop favorites.

I made reservations for a Friday night, drove all the way from Ontario to downtown LA to find out they closed due to weather. I was so upset because my little sister just turned 21 and
She came to visit from Colorado.

It was incredible. The staff went above and beyond and made my night amazing! This was for my 30th birthday and they accommodated my friends and I, and had great service. The view was incredible as well. They set up this section just for us so it was almost like an exclusive area for us. They made everything unforgettable. I recommend this place to everyone!!
The advertisement never mentioned that you served cold dishes and not hot meals. We left immediately!
Plastic airplane food trays, plastic forks, bottled drinks. I couldn't tell if I was flying spirit airlines or eating at a restaurant. None of the menu choices are correct anymore because of covid only small overpriced plates.
This isn’t a restaurant, it’s a lounge. They don’t have anything except for cold sandwiches. No bartender. Drinks come in small bottles. Server was nice but we were led to believe that this was a full service restaurant. It is not.
Understaffed but very friendly. Service was slow along with issues with processing credit cards. Place was clear by 8pm, but busy before that. Great view.

It was an amazing experience, Victor out waiter and Chef Harout were amazing. Fast service, great food, and will definitely come back. I recommend this place for everyone.
I paid almost $300 for a mediocre dinner (for 2). Dining room is closed (permanently?) and the only seating was on the roof. Seems nice, right? Wrong. It was cold, windy, and noisy. They only had 3 space heaters for the entire roof, and our table was not anywhere near any of them. The sound of the hotel AC and helicopters nearby made talking at a normal conversation level difficult. The view is ok, not great, as most of the buildings around are taller than the Hilton, so you can't see very far. The giant red "Hilton" sign next to the dining area is neither cute nor trendy, and it ruins any semblance of ambiance. Food was okay, not spectacular, but cost a lot PLUS there is an administrative fee tacked on to every ordrer for some reason. They also ran out of one of only two dessert options that night. The staff is nice though, so it's not their fault, just a poorly run restaurant. Never eat here. Ever. Even if they pay you.
My review is only on the valentines day experience on the rooftop. Go somewhere else for this day! Only had one person serving and one person sitting, wait was forever to get to next meal and it seemed unorganized. The singer was great though. Not enough heaters and just needed at least more people to be attending to guest
Checkers has come (fallen) a long way since it was the sister property to the Campton Place in S.F. On a Saturday night, the restaurant was a morgue. Only eight total covers for the evening, and our party accounted for six of them. Servers doubled as bartenders and, possibly, bellman, busboys, and the cleaning crew. My scallops on saffron rice was excellent -- best in show. Other items ranged from very good to very poor. The menu notes in very fine print at the bottom that the restaurant charges a 4% admin fee, not for health benefits or the kitchen staff, but to cover the cost of operating the restaurant. ISN'T THAT WHAT THE MENU PRICES ARE SUPPOSED TO DO? Guess Hilton could not charge a "resort fee" to dine at the restaurant and so figured this was the next best way to mislead customers about the true cost of the food.
We were disappointed that the dining room was not in use and we had to dine in the bar High top seats were not very comfortable. The food was very good and nicely presented Service was excellent, friendly and attentive.
It was an interesting experience because they aren't open for dinner so we had the entire place to ourselves. The good thing is that. The bad thing is it was very cold in there and they couldn't fix it. Food was awesome!

The restaurant is permanently closed but Open Table let us make a reservation so we had no idea it was not open. So we ate in the bar. Not many people very quiet. The food was good though and the service good. Just not what we expected.
Why did you eliminate your dining room? The food was excellent and the service "the best ever!"
I could only eat one bite of my rib eye. IT was too tough to cut! I was up on the PH floor and couldn't do anything about it. Did you fire your cooK? It was disappointing. The view was wonderful and the server very efficient...you just got rid of a treasure.
I would only come to your venue for drinks, not food.

The food is very good but for two straight nights we were the only diners. Granted this was the weekend when the City is empty of serious foodies. We had the place to ourselves.
Really discouraged by lack of professionalism, value of food and caliber of manager. My boss had to search for 15 minutes to find wait staff in kitchen, then proceed to be sat at a dirty linen table. Food order came out wrong and when manager was notified, the reaction was extremely disappointing. Nothing taken off bill. etc. This was a high profile lunch with LA City politicios. We will never return.
This used to be a very special boutique hotel and restaurant. Now it’s part of the Hilton chain and has sadly been downgraded and homogenized. Probably won’t go back.
When I checked in at the restaurant, they seemed to be totally oblivious to the fact that I had a reservation for six people. One would think that someone would look at the reservation list and have a table set up for a group of six. Most of the tables are set for 2 or 4. Fortunately it was not busy and they were able to accommodate us easily. The food is adequate, but nothing special, especially for the price. The service was very good and attentive. We'll return but probably not worry about making a reservation, and not for the food.
Excellent choice for pre-theater dinner. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was quiet, intimate and conducive to conversation. Not quite walking distance to the Music Center (unless you're young and energetic), but just a short drive up Grand Avenue. Easy in and out with free valet parking for patrons. The service was very attentive but unobtrusive. All in all a very enjoyable experience. This might become our "go to" place for a pre-theater meal.

We had a party of 15 in the private room on a Friday evening. There was only one other guest dining in the restaurant . While the food was good I can’t say the same for the service. Very slow, waitress couldn’t get our orders correct and complained about having to split the bill.
I can understand this if the restaurant was busy but that wasn’t the case.
This restaurant won’t be on my list to visit ever again.
As a former employee - I return to see how far down the scale this amazing venue continues to slip. At one point - Thomas Keller ran this kitchen - and today it has very untrained service professionals 'servicing' the floor... the food is actually acceptable but when servers bring dirty glassware, forget that oatmeal comes with milk, and bring you into a dirty dining room and sit you at an undressed table... you can't give the location a high mark.
I wish the venue well and hope that management knows where they are operating... from the lack of management overview - I witnessed - it appears bleak.
Very disappointing for Sunday Brunch! My eggs benedict were clearly warmed over and tough and the english muffins tasted like cardboard. The waiter poured coffee that was barely tepid and I sent it back. No wonder there was hardly anyone in the restaurant! The prices are high but the food is clearly not on anyone's mind - only the money.
Very diverse menu and wine list, with great service in a well appointed space. The halibut was off the charts good!

The Sea Bass was absolutely amazing
What a pleasant surprise. Our daughter was staying at the hotel and we decided to just meet at the restaurant instead of going out. The food was outstanding. We had appetizers of eggplant roulade and the beet and goat salad - both were excellent. The Chilean sea bass was a very generous portion and was absolutely delicious.
It was a nice dining experience. The food was good and the service was very good.
We booked the reservation at Checkers because of its close proximity to the Ahmanson Theatre and complimentary shuttle to and from the theatre. It is very convenient to valet park in the hotel and not deal with parking at the theatre. However, after dinner we were informed by the waiter he could not reach the shuttle service and could only offer to call us a cab (at our expense), which meant we would also have to call a cab to get back to the hotel afterward! Now pressed for time, we had to quickly leave and try to get parking at the theatre. We were extremely disappointed in the way this was handled, especially since the waiter told us there was trouble in the past with this shuttle service.
Otherwise the food was very good and service was friendly, but the way they handled the debacle with the shuttle service was less than acceptable.
