We are staying at Enchantment, which is amazing! The restaurant, which is the premier restaurant in the resort, is lovely. The view is clearly the major selling point but they dont rely on that. The food and service were both excellent. I typically admire a restaurant that has a limited selection as to me , it means they are focusing on both fresh and seasonal
ingredients as well as their ability to prepare a few dishes exceptionally well. Even so, i felt that the menu was a bit limited in selection. Having said that, my husband and i both enjoyed our meals very much.. i had the lamb loin, which was tender, perfectly cooked and tasty. My husband had the ny steak, which was alos excellent. As we stayed here, we had breakfast several mornings. My favorite were the spa breakfasts although the view was better elsewhere.
The ambiance of this restaurant is amazing and something that would definitely bring me back again for a second go-around. The service staff were wonderful. The menu appears to be reasonably priced, but the view is the best part of the experience. We arrived for brunch around 10:00, so the window shades were not drawn at that time. Later, the experience unfolds. Hope to stay here sometime in the near future.
We went in for our wedding anniversary. We ordered two meals, one a pasta dish with vegetables, the other a special lobster dinner. We got one dinner delivered like we never ordered anything else. The dish was hot the food was cold and there was zero pasta in the dish. The other dinner was ignored, but we were told we would get in three minutes? Really, if u did not even know about the server who took the order and her assistant comes with just one dinner, how would you prepare anther dinner in three minutes? We left hungry as we were not going to eat our dinner separately, we went back to our room and ordered room service! Extremely disappointed!!!
We came to dinner while visiting the East Coast for my girlfriend's birthday. We were blown away with, not only the area, but also the food and service delivered at Che-Ah-Chi. From start to end, we were wow'd with drinks (kudos for iPad wine list); courses from "House Smoked Corn Soup," to "Sea Scallops on the Shell," and "Roasted CO Lamb Loin." This will me a memorable night for us to both remember. We hope to make it back sooner than later. This is truly a special place!
Every time we visit Sedona, we make it a point to have brunch at Che-Ah-Chi. The food is superb, the service friendly and professional, the setting is gorgeous (bring your camera), the entire hotel staff attentive and welcoming and helpful, including the new General Manager. One caution -- the portions, from the fruit plate to the malted waffles, are huge (probably to meet the excessive expectations of Americans and some Europeans) and probably meant to serve two. Ask about portion size or you may trouble getting out of narrow road through the Canyon. Finally, value. Dining here is a complete experience, comparable (I am guess) to the Resort's spa experience. Take it all in. Oh, make reservations.
Went for a prix fixed New Year’s Eve dinner. For $150 per person I would expect amazing, unique food and perfect service. Neither was the case.
We sat for over a half hour before anything happend. Shouldn’t be too touch considering there are not options on the menu! My wife went without a bread plate or napkin for quite some time. First world problem I know but as someone who works in the high end service industry these things matter.
The food was prepared well but not unique. Spent $100 for a prix fixe menu with a world class Michelin chef in Mexico and was BLOWN AWAY by the entire menu. This New Year’s Eve effort seemed like a cash grab using an amazing view (not even visible because we ate at night!) to lure in prospective diners.
I communicated with someone who seemed to be a manager about my wife’s lactose intolerance. Very accommodating but misquoted the price. Told me $105 but bill came at $150. Typo or lack of communication? Seems like the latter based on my experience.
On the bright side, the food was prepared perfectly and my wife’s lactose intolerance was accommodated.
Our Christmas dinner was fantastic. Based on other recommendations, we arrived before sunset. We were glad we did. The red stone cliffs offer an amazing view from the dining room. The menu was prix fixe for the special occasion. The choices were fantastic- sunchoke soup, prawns, wild roasted bass, and a dessert combo of berries, white chocolate, and shortbread. Our servers were excellent - professional and friendly. The booth where we were seated was very comfortable and quiet.
We are staying in the Enchantment Resort and had an evening meal at the restaurant. We changed our table initially at the lower level and went to a more private and romantic booth in the upper level. We were served by the outstanding Constance who could not have done a better job in explaining the menu, the iPad wine list and then helpfully giving us a taste of about 6 wines before making a decision. The service was perfect but the place was not busy and Connie seemed to have all the time in the world for us which added to our brilliant experience. There was a noisy table in the lower level which did not bother us but other diners’ experience was diminished because of this.....and they told us so! On the whole we loved the ambiance, the food(compliments to the talented chef) and Constance!
The resort this restaurant is located in is exquisite. We went for a romantic anniversary dinner. Constance our server greeted us acknowledging the celebration. Her recommendations on food and wine selections were spot on. The food was delicious, creative and beautifully presented. Constance delivered a complimentary desert sampler with "Happy Anniversary" emblazoned across the plate in white chocolate. We even ended the evening with a glass of our favorite Port! What a perfect experience.
My wife and we’re told we had to get to the Enchantment Resort for dinner while in Sedona and we finally made it there. It was fantastic food with an amazing view of the red rocks. We arrived just as the sun was setting and it was amazing. Our waiter Billy was fantastic and made the evening very enjoyable.
We took my mother there for a birthday dinner, and the event was indeed quite special. The marvelously beautiful mountain views were excelled by the the food we ordered along with our waiter's excellent service. He was knowledgeable and always supportive, but not overbearing and intrusive. What a fantastic event in a majestic setting!
Somewhat disappointing, especially given the prices. We had the corn chowder for an appetizer. It was lukewarm at best. We both had the snapper for our entrée. It was overcooked and somewhat tasteless. Good wine list and views, but the food was average at best
My wife and I ate here on our last night in Sedona. It was a Friday night, 5:30pm reservation, it was just getting dark. Alana was our server.
First off, the restaurant is beautiful, the scenery is breath-taking, and the restaurant was rather quiet. We had no problem hearing one another, which is great. The waitresses, including ours, seemed to really know meticulously about the menu, and took care to answer and explain.
The selection was small, which for those that aren't very picky, is fine, but for me, I found only a handful of items I would eat. Honestly though, its pretty typical of high end restaurants to be that way, its no fault of them.
I ordered the Rib-Eye, which was cooked correctly, my only complaint is, it was small. I was expecting something maybe double in size. The cost of dishes is high, and the cost of wine by the glass is also high. We did expect that coming in though.
The service though was excellent. They even read in our open table comments that we were celebrating our birthdays, and surprised us with a birthday dessert with a message. That was a big win, and made our dinner for sure.
If we ever go back, we'd be sure to try and and sit outside (it was too cold that night).
Appetizer was less than stellar. Skimpy. Three little pieces of hamachi for way too much money. The ribeye was perfectly cooked and really flavorful sitting on vidalla onion. But this as well was expensive at $56. We didn’t have a view it was dark when we dined but the place is pretty and comfortable and the service was very good.
Had a great dinner under the stars. The food was excellent; however, I had an allergic reaction on a fish that was marinated with prickly pears. The ambiance was excellent until we got the overflow of 4 women from the bar and they sat next to the dining patio area. And they were talking very loudly and profanely disgusting. Overall, the food and presentation was great.
