When in Sedona, you are missing a great experience if you don't stop for dinner at Che-Ah-Chi at the Enchantment. Always an interesting menu and a great wine list. Great service.
Magnificent setting with a great menu. Beautiful decor and food nicely served. Big disappointment was a colleague received a call and left the dining room to take the call. The server brought his food while he was gone and left his dinner on the table . That is VERY unacceptable in any restaurant but especially in a restaurant of this caliber. Suggest wait staff be appropriately trained.
The staff was very friendly, our server James was excellent, The food was uniquely prepared, and the presentation was excellent.
Enjoyed our 10th anniversary with dinner next to the red rocks of Sedona. Everything was terrific. The waitress (Alana) was the best! She was pleasant and did an exceptional job handling our food allergies. The food was delicious - two fish dishes. And for desert we were surprised by a sorbet dish with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate on the plate.
This place is all about the view. The food is decent and the service is good. I went for breakfast with my wife and had a cafe mocha and waffles, which were good, but overpriced. We passed on the breakfast buffet which was very expensive and didn't seem appetizing. We loved the view!
Beautiful and romantic place
While the food and service were quite good, the location of the restaurant and the attending view are what make this a very special experience. Try to beat the sunset and bathe in the gorgeous scenery as you enjoy a fine meal.
The view can not be beat! The food was very good. The service could use some improvement overall. The bartender at the bar seemed overwhelmed and we waited awhile to place a drink order and we were the only ones at the bar! They definitely could use more help. The scenery made up for the lack of service.
Expected 180° view as advertised where the brunch was served. Disappointed with maybe a 90 degree view from where we were seated. Also the sun filtering shades were down the whole time we were at brunch blocking the view. We booked mostly for the view which was not as expected. However the food, the servers, and other staff at the resort were very accommodating and excellent .
Excellent artistic food in an elegant and relaxing atmosphere.
The most amazing and unique food and drinks - we can't wait for our next visit.
We enjoyed our visit to the restaurant. It's such a pretty location with great food, too. We enjoyed the mimosas that came with brunch, too.
We booked reservations for breakfast through opentable and the reservations were confirmed. When we arrived at the restaurant, however, we were told they do not take reservations for breakfast. After a 20 plus minute wait, we were finally seated. The food was lackluster at best and no one came back to even fill up our coffee. On the way out, someone was getting food from the buffet and it started to fall off of the table. He called for help and my wife and I had to help him, while the staff turned away after seeing we were helping. We had an amazing dinner experience earlier over the weekend, and this was like a different restaurant.
We had a fantastic meal outside on the terrace. A little chilly so the staff got the heat lamps going for us, and everything we ordered was delicious. The burrata started was a great plate to share. Loved the roasted carrots. Garlic panisse was uniques and well executed. Rachael our server gave us just the right amount of attentive service!
The views here really are exquisite. Go before the sun sets. The service was very good. We had a very enthusiastic waitress who had a lot to tell us about her favorites on the menu. We did not have a food that we did not enjoy. Starters included warm beets as well as the outstanding burrata! I had a cup of the delicious lobster bisque that everyone had raved about. It certainly was good, but a bowl would have been a meal in itself. I opted for the cup which was plenty to enjoy. Several of us had the filet, which were all cooked perfectly as ordered. The scallops were very good as were the short ribs. Most of us were full, but one order of the doughnuts made its way to the table and they seemed to disappear quickly! I would definitely recommend this restaurant. It is pricey, so be prepared for that.
Our server James was excellent. The food was good, but overpriced for the quantity and quality. The wine list was nice. The view is so pretty but after dark you cannot see beautiful Boynton Canyon outside and yet the inside ambiance was quite nice.
Can't miss for a spectacular view and equally impressive meal.
Great views, romantic, wonderful service and food!
The location is beautiful and we had dinner looking at the sunset.
The food was very good and everybody's favorite was the Lobster bisque.
My husband had pasta, good but not extraordinary.
My daughter had scallops, my husband and daughter loved it, I did not.
I had steak, well prepared.
The extraordinaries: Lobster bisque and the smore dessert.
From the moment we arrived and were seated, we knew it was a special evening. The view of the Sedona rocks was fabulous, and the selections of all courses exceeded our expectations. The wine list was extensive and well presented. Service was attentive and on spot for an upscale restaurant, but not at all stuffy. Highlighting the evening was a wonderful guitarist. We will definitely return.
There are obviously and cooks who know what they are doing in the kitchen. Presentation was superb. The appetizer-pork belly was delicious and a bit for 2 as opposed to "For the Table" as listed on the menu. The Lobster Bisque is among the best we have ever had-don't skip it and get a 'bowl'. The entrees were OK but not much more than that. Service was enthusiastic and pleasant. The wine list is extensive and interactive-on an iPad. (I sent myself a wine label but I received it as a blur, which was disappointing.) A most pleasant if not perfect experience.
Service was very slow, we were in a booth and felt like they forgot about us. Food was wonderful and scenic view was beautiful.
Get there well before sundown and sit on the outside deck if the weather is OK. Watch the shadows change on the rock faces as the sun recedes. Order a drink and enjoy....
Superior service inside. We shared the seared pork belly. The mains were great. We were invited to a nearby table for a shared dessert and laughed a lot. Make friends...have fun. Also, bring money.
When you walk into the restaurant you are greeted by a very rude and unfriendly woman who tells you to take a seat. She hovers around the restaurant with a nasty look on her face, like she is doing the diner a favor. Our server was very professional, and the food was good, but most of the staff is very young, unfriendly and clearly inexperienced. Not what you expect at restaurant with these prices.
The service and food was outstanding! Our waitress, Lucy was so personable and professional which made for a fun and romantic dining experience. The view was spectacular. We couldn't have asked for a better evening out!
Che-Ah-Chi is intended to provide a memorable experience in an exquisite setting. It could have accomplished that had it not been tarnished with missteps by the wait staff. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the dinner offerings and answered our questions very well. Our meals were exactly as she described and were delicious.
The downfall was when the entrees were served by other members of the staff. There was a mix-up on the tray as to who was supposed to get which entree, so the person delivering the plates began setting them in the wrong places. When we corrected her, rather than removing the plate and taking them to the right place, she reached across the table, warning me, "Watch out, this is a hot plate!" She was holding it with a napkin to protect her hand and expected me to reach over and take it from her by the napkin, which I did. Then I was supposed to pick up the plate in front of me and pass it over across the table to my friend. Very unprofessional.
At the end of dinner, our waitress seemed to disappear. After waiting way too long to get our check so we could leave, we finally asked another server to tell our waitress to bring it.
On a brighter end note, the night we were there was snowy and the roads were slick with snow and ice. We had self parked, but the valet was kind enough to tell us to stay put rather than risking a fall on the ice and retrieved our car. Even he had trouble getting it up the hill. We appreciated him looking out for our safety.
This was our 2nd time to The Enchantment Resort and Che-Ah-Chi. It was every bit is good as our 1st time and the new menu was excellent. I highly recommend that you plan to visit / dine at Che-Ah-Chi when in Sedona. It’s a bit pricey, but expected at a fine locale as this. Very attentive and knowledgable servers...The acoustic guitar player was mellow and very talented, added to the experience for sure...Don’t miss this experience and btw, start with a cocktail or glass of wine outside on the patio around the fire at sunset...
My wife and I had both dinner and lunch at Che-Ah-Chi at Enchantment Resort. We enjoyed the great red rock view when having the lunch. It was dark outside when we had the dinner. We highly recommend soups. The soup chef did a incredible job.
We made reservations for breakfast and we were not disappointed. Stunning view, excellent service, friendly staff. Made our trip to Sedona extra special.
Expensive breakfast but ABsolutely worth it. A lovely resort. A lovely view. Would definitely go back.
Ambiance and all wait staff were superb!!!! The food presentation was exquisite but I expected more relative to the taste experience. My soup of the day - chicken - was flavored too strongly - and if that was salt - it was too much (given my health issues). The "southern style grits" were blended to the consistency of mashed potatoes - and as someone who has eaten grits all my life - I cannot understand how blended grits are described as southern style. I ordered a signature margarita and I was highly disappointed. It tasted like it had no liquor at all and very little of the typical margarita flavor - whereas the prickly pear margarita I had at Happy Hour was outstanding. In summary - ambiance and wait staff were exceptional - but for the reputation and price - I expected more from my food items.
Best overall experience in a very long time. Great food great service and great location.
This was the best dining experience we've had in a long time. Our table
faced the sunset lit mountain. We watch the mountain go dark as we ate our
HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant.
It's a bit out of the way but then you are driving through gorgeous Sedona AZ mountainside.
We at dinner at Che-ah-Chi six nights during our stay and breakfast six times. EVERYTHING was quite good with the exception of when it came to signing for meals. Most of the time the bill came with the gratuity added into the bill and as we were on an all inclusive it made it acceptable, however it seemed like we had to remind the wait staff every time to put the gratuity on and on a few occasions we waited while they went back and corrected the bill. The one time that we needed to leave right away I just added the gratuity on the bottom (25.00) 157777 and found that it was added to my final bill. Also happened with regards to the added charge 122698 on 11-05. We paid cash for everything we purchase and do not know what the café charge of 316462 is. So in summary the $63.33 are unsubstantiated.
The Sunday brunch and was excellent and the view was breathtaking!
Lots of bees outside and we had to move inside in the middle of our meal and another two families also did. Other than that great place
The setting is stunning. The servers were friendly and accommodating. Out of four people dining, only one was satisfied with the Sunday brunch. The table did not look really clean and the floor had food and silverware on it. I expected more from this quality of a resort.
I have dined at this restaurant many times , but this has been the worst time.
The server was lost, we almost finished our bottle of wine before the main course came,
the music was to loud. Very disappointed, left before having desert.
Food was wonderful, paired with the scenic view = wonderful evening. The Brussels sprouts were great, so were the asparagus! They were all simple but perfectly done and delicious. Spectacular views and ambiance. Music playing live towards the late evening. Very lovely.
Beautiful setting on the floor of a red rock canyon and very nice ambiance. The food was quite good but not not memorable (it was brunch, afterall). Unlimited mimosas or champagne was a nice touch.
