Che-Ah-Chi at Enchantment Resort
We didn't stay at the Enchantment resort but were highly looking forward to dining there after reading great reviews. The setting is absolutely gorgeous but once you're inside the restaurant the enchantment ends if you're not lucky enough to be seated outside or VERY near a window. There is a lot of glare on the glass so the magnificent view is completely lost during and after sunset. You have absolutely no idea that you're dining in one of the most beautiful areas of the world and the utterly horrible lack of dress-code by patrons solidifies this. The restaurant should try to deal with this. People that look like they just got off the trail should be directed to their casual restaurant instead of ruining the ambience. The food is very good however. Perhaps the best salad I've ever had. Service was good too except for a server that we almost had to argue with to convince him that the "split chicken" and several other entres were NOT for us. We were a party of two and there were several larger parties near us. Would have thought that could have been figured out. I would highly recommend it still - just make sure you actually get to see some scenery while dining and the experience will be better.
Horrible experience. Poor service and lukewarm food. Best part, the restaurant wasn't even that crowded. Total disappointment.
Too geriatric of an ambiance albeit beautiful
An amazing place. The resort is a very beautiful and dramatic place. The dishes were creative and very flavorful. And the wine list was excellent
The scenery is inspiring, the food delicious and the service excellent. We opted for the specials and were not disappointed. The serving size is generous and the sides are yummy. We split a dessert and it was wonderful. This is well worth coming back to again, and again!
Lovely food but burrata portion was skimpy for the price and scallops delicious but overpriced. Half portion of pasta pricey too.
Food (breakfast) was very good, but our waiter was terrible. He never came to check on us or see how the food was for us after dropping off our entrees. We were out of water for a long time and he never filled them up. We had to beg for a refill after not seeing him for several minutes. Terrible service from waiter, but hostesses were great. INCREDIBLE view here. We expected top notch service from a resort like this though.
1) Did not recognize reservation was for Anniversary dinner till very end. 2) medium rare rib eye was well done, 3) too dark to see what I was eating. Considering all this, over priced
Disappointed with the service and the food was very disappointing. It was so bad that the manager got involved and agreed that the food was unacceptable.
Everything was prepared well, but we didn't know there was a party for 50 in their banquet room. Our appetizers were served promptly as were drinks we ordered. After that we waited for over an hour for our entres. They were very nice, but really? They put our entres behind this huge party, so we're the ones who had to wait. Really???? If you're booking there, I would ask them about large parties that evening-- because they won't tell you. Almost left before our entres were served.
Best meal with Stunning canyon view. Must visit place in Sedona.
Zephan our server was really on the ball but seemed quite stressed
The team are really not on the ball. I ordered a Fillet Mignon Medium-Well done. I received a steak Medium rare. My server swore she wrote it down correctly and that the error was in the kitchen. I will give them one more chance to get it right tonight. The team are really understaffed for a national long weekend holiday.
We had another lovely dinner here. This time, we sat inside, next to floor-to-ceiling windows with magnificent views of the red rocks. Service was gracious and unrushed and the tables are far enough apart to make conversation easy. The wine list has a good selection of Arizona wines, and the sommelier was helpful in recommending one of our two final choices.
For starters, we shared the Buratta with Noble toast and Lobster Bisque. I had the day's special, a grass-fed ribeye with coffee-chipotle rub and served with potatoes au gratin; my husband had the filet mignon (also grass-fed) with sautéed mushrooms and shoestring fries. We also shared an order of Brussels sprouts, which are served with Bourbon syrup, pecorino, and breadcrumbs.
Fantastic views (sit outside) and server, Robert, was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and didn't rush us. My husband had the filet and I had the pork chop. We shared the cauliflower. Everything was amazing. It's pricy for Sedona, we're from Chicago and these are normal prices for this kind of dinner. Highly recommend!
Food and ambience were good, but our server forgot about us. Other tables were being served while we sat with just water for what seemed like 30 minutes or more. Finally our server checked on us and brought us bread. Server was very polite, but attentiveness to the serving of the food was lacking. Food was delicious. If not for being forgotten, it would have been a stellar experience.
Beautiful view, great patio! Food was excellent. We had the tuna tartare, charcuterie and cheese, chicken dish and filet. All were excellent. We went with the kids and they have a kid menu with many choices, they even modified it to accommodate a picky eater. Great service!
Che Ah Chi had very unique and delicious food! The views were stunning! You could not ask for a better night out for great food and an amazing view of the Red Rocks during the sunset. Our waiter Brion was awesome! He was very attentive and even provided some tips for traveling and sites to see in Sedona.
Superb location. Very good service by our waitress.
Food good but not exceptional.
We had to wait a long time before being seated although it was not very busy.
Probably the most beautiful view I have ever had at a restaurant. Upscale, good with food allergies.
The prices are high but the food and view were worth the money!
Took the drive out to Enchantment for my birthday dinner because it was so highly rated. SOO worth it. Great food. Best scallop dish I'd ever had (and I eat those a lot). Custom made club soda / juice drinks. Great surprise free dessert for my birthday. Great service. Fabulous views. Can't say enough good things about this place.
We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our time overlooking Boynton Canyon and every bite of food. Our server really made our evening by recognizing we were there for our anniversary and my husband's birthday. She brought us a dessert with "Happy Birthaversary" on the plate! She was also excellent at wine selection. We were thrilled with the entire experience!
Fabulous view of the Sedona rock formations. Amazing service from Zephan-friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was perfectly prepared. Lovely evening in a beautiful location.
Appetizers and view were excellent but main courses were mediocre at best. Waiter was very nice and offered free dessert, but the quality should be much higher for the price.
Beautiful restaurant looking Sedona's majestic red rocks. The food was excellent, fresh salads with interesting combinations of greens, veggies and fruit. Chicken and filet dinners were perfectly prepared. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
Great food, service, and ambiance. Our waiter, Robert, was amazing and the sommelier was both knowledgeable and price conscious.
A spectacular modern American dining experience. Creative and sensational. Would rival NYC or SF at their best
The restaurant was amazing on both nights we visited. We were with family and a party of 6 with a baby. The waiters were amazing at bringing my husband and my meals out early as we needed to leave earlier than everyone else due to the baby. They made it so easy on us!
Outstanding! Every course was amazing. The salads were particularly extraordinary - I never knew lettuce could be so fresh and taste so good.
Incredible dining experience! Our server, Michael, was an amazing host and guide through our dining experience. His recommendations were thoughtful, tasted fantastic and really elevated our dining experience. We started with the Burrata, featuring bread made locally in Phoenix from the Noble bakery. The bread was fantastic. He also suggested the in-house made sodas, featuring natural ingredients like cucumber, local ginger and more. The ginger soda was refreshing and highly recommendable.
The dining experience continued to impress with a delicious lobster bisque cappuccino (presented as a cappuccino, not an actual caffeine drink). The main course was delicious as my date ordered her favorite (grilled lamb) and I opted for the filet. Both were cooked to perfection and left us full and quite satisfied. Michael was splendid. Endearing and friendly - he really made the experience great. We will be back!
Breathtaking view, friendly and attentive service, and excellent menu.
Was in town alone for work and ate alone and they were so good to me! Amazing view!
The view was fantastic and outdoor dining was comfortable even in July. The food choices were delicious looking and varied. I really enjoyed the scallops,my friend said the filet was excellent and the dessert was to die for. I wish I lived closer so I could try more dishes.
We have dined at Che-Ah-Chi several times over the last 2 + years. It has been our go to Wow destination for out of town guests because of the stunning views and excellent, albeit pricey, food. It slipped down the list a bit after this visit especially with some of the other excellent Wow restaurants in Sedona.
I wonder whether the restaurant has experienced a change of management and/or chef since our last visit. The food and the overall service were not at the outstanding level. My wife and I visited the restaurant for an anniversary dinner. It was a Friday night and the restaurant was only moderately busy. Yet, the restaurant seemed understaffed, at least with the wait staff. Our waitress was excellent (we have had her before) but she clearly was stretched thin by the lack of staffing. We did not get the customary follow through after our meals were served and had to flag staff down to request salt and pepper.
We tried a couple of new appetizers and entrees (a duck salad and a flank steak specifically) and did consider them to be at the standard of excellence we have come to expect from this restaurant. Perhaps we just stumbled on some weaker entries on the menu as the Lobster Bisque was still outstanding.
That said, the restaurant was very generous in helping us celebrate our anniversary. We were greeted with champagne and also provided with a desert. We will be back. Hopefully our experience was an anomaly.
One of a kind lobster bisque, & one of a kind service from Constance makes this outing an outstanding experience.
Service needs to be improved. New staff meant that the servers did not know who had ordered what dish. Two side dishes did not arrive which we cancelled. However, waitress apologized and compensated by offering complimentary dessert. Food was very good. Atmosphere was very good. Overall, we really enjoyed dinner. I am sure that service will improve.
We ate Sunday brunch here 5 years ago. The facility is being run by a new organization and the name has changed. The views are wonderful. Sedona and the valley this establishment is located in are gorgeous. The selection for brunch has diminished significantly from our last visit. I think the price is less than before but brunch was disappointing in comparison to our first visit. The food that was available for brunch was very good. I had to flip my chair cushion over due to the gobs of dried food present on the cushion. Since we arrived early and were the first to be seated at our table, staff missed the spilled food for closing and opening. The other side of the seat pad wasn't that clean either. Worth a trip for the view from the balcony tables or inside tables. We did enjoy our brunch but will be looking for another location next time.
Best views on earth.
Just fabulous. Michael our waiter was so knowledgeable and friendly. Food was incredible. View was dramatic. It was a little warm, but you're eating in the desert!
