Delicious meal. Service impeccable. The after dinner drink of grappa along with the outstanding tiramisu was heavenly. Chazz Palminteri is outstanding!
The dover sole was outstanding. The service could not have better. Very attentive and we were not rushed.
GREAT restaurant, went with friends for a Birthday Celebration before a Broadway Show! Always skeptical on NYC restaurants, but Chazz's restaurant exceeded our expectations !!! I actually had reservations at different restaurant, but after seeing Chazz on Center Stage last week, I changed the reservation to his restaurant, and was thrilled that I did. We were a party of four who are all Bronx born and raised, and who know good food instantly, we were amazed and happy with every course. I had several espresso martini's, the best I have ever had! Staff warm and inviting, all took part in singing Happy Birthday, sounded great! For appetizers, we had Fried Calamari, tender and delicious. Eggplant Rollatini, served with the skin like Grandma did, outstanding. Baked Clams, plenty of juice to dunk the delicious bread. All our dinner entree's were cooked to perfection! Serving are generous also, and we would have taken left overs if we were not going to a show! Desserts, outstanding! Can't wait to take the family! Atmosphere, dark and cozy, LOVED IT!!
I wanted to love this restaurant as much as I love Chazz Palminteri, but sadly, I did not. First impression the Manager Artin greeted us with a friendly smile and a bit of nice conversation. Downhill after that. The female bartender was not friendly or attentive at all. When we got seated it reminded me of a stuffy place...a head man in charge of an all male wait staff who again were not very friendly or attentive. The food was good but rather expensive. The ambiance of the room..well there wasn’t any. Bottom line=disappointing. It was our 4th wedding anniversary, which we mentioned on our Opentable reservation, but no one at the restaurant knew or acknowledged. We came down from Rochester NY just to have our anniversary dinner here.
The overall expierence was very nice. If you are looking for italian food that is absolutely authentic and not a chain such as olive garden, then this is your place. My wife and I had a show at radio city music hall that night and we only got some pasta. I wish I had time for the antipasta and maybe an entree. I recommend that you come hungry and plan to stay a while because the food is that good.
Love the food , staff and service
Todo perfecto.Tanto el lugar, como el servicio, como la comida
Wonderful server. And the food was terrific. Black truffle sauce ravioli was so me I father best ever eaten. Halibut special was wonderfully seasoned and cooked.
Food was MAGNIFICENT; service was extremely friendly and fast, since we had theatre tickets. I would absolutely go back ! Room was a little too dark.
Nice spot within walking distance to Grand Central, a bit pricey but a very enjoyable experience, they will accommodate any changes you might want to make to your entree and very attentive wait staff. The only think I wasn't happy about was being charged $5.00 for a small watered down coke from the bar, I don't drink (and I had two) aside from that I definitely recommend this establishment.
Food was OK, Wine was good. A bit pricey overall. Not sure I would go again with all the great restaurants in area.
Always a delight to come. This is very on point, and certainly knows how to treat everyone as if they come all the time.
My wife and I had an early dinner before going to a broadway show. Everything was fantastic- great food, great service. The only issue we had was that the room we were in always a bit on the dark side. We needed lights to ready the menu.
As always, luncheon at Chazz Paminteri's was excellent. Able to converse, great attention to any potential needs.
Food is very flavorful. Red sauces very good. Oysters were not flavorful. Did not have a taste of the sea. Cocktail sauce with oysters was good. Service is good.
Had to go through the connected hotel lobby and down to the basement for the bathroom which was weird
Great menu, food well prepared. Had prosciutto and melon. Melon sweet and fresh. Chicken Francese thin, tender, delicious. Just the right amount of lemon.
Service attentive and excellent.
I loved everything about Chazz Palminteri’s restaurant, not the least that I literally ran into Mr. Palminteri as I entered the restaurant. He said that I would love the restaurant and I did. The food was outstanding and reasonably priced, and it was served very quickly by wait staff that took care of my every request. It was a joy to dine there and I will certainly return there.
Awful. Bad good noisy
Over priced & just a hyped restaurant that is very disappointing.
Delicious food. Had the rigatoni with sausage and broccoli rabe. The pasta was cooked perfectly. Excellent service. All the wait staff were very attentive. Really loved the main lighting above, even though I had to use a cell phone to read the menu. Decor was elegant and tasteful, despite my expectation of seeing "old neighborhood" scenes. All in all, the restaurant is a perfect pre-play dining experience, or just a good place to have good food at any time.
My go to restaurant when I am in NYC! I love the food here!
The food was absolutely terrific and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Was a little put off when we first arrived as it was just myself and my daughter. We were seated in a side room, only 1 other table had people seated and we were put right up against the wall in the corner. I felt a bit closed in. Arrived at 5:15 for a 5:30 reservation, the place did not start to really fill up till almost as we were leaving around 7:30. I asked if we could change our table and the waiter was fine with it. The thing that I noticed, a few others had arrived and 2 people were seated at a table for 4 - what's that about? I got over it quickly but truly was a negative flag for me at first. Could understand if the room was busy, but it was most certainly not. The food, was good, nothing that was that outstanding though. The baked clams were okay but I've had better. My pasta bolognese was also good, but again not outstanding. The calamari was very good and my daughter enjoyed her rigatoni in vodka sauce. The cocktails were worth it - margaritas were prepared well. We were impressed with the service a bit more than the actual food. Would go back to see if we felt any different, if we were planning on being in the area but would not seek it out especially. Hard to say about recommending - I would if I knew the party was going to be in that area of town.
I’ve been to this restaurant several times and it is always excellent! The Italian cuisine is of the highest quality. My friend ate there for the first time and made a reservation for the following week because she loved it so much!!
The portions are too big.
My two friends from Holland and I went to Chazz Palminteri on Memorial Day Monday for dinner. The entire staff was excellent, and we couldn't have asked for a better server than Dennis.
We all started with minestrone and found it to have a perfect broth and vegetables that all seemed to be fresh. My friends got beer, and I got a glass of the Montepulciano and highly recommend this wine. The chicken parm, Tony's meatball spaghetti and pappardelle bolognese all had balanced sauces that needed no additional flavor, but we did get a bit of fresh parm added. The pasta was impeccable. Our desserts of limon sorbet, creme brulee and tiramisu were delicious as well. The espresso was rich and completed what we all considered to be the best meal of our trip.
The chicken Parm was chewy and the veal Was very tough. I would not recommend
Very comfortable restaurant with tables nicely spaced. Large menu with a selection for everyone. Food was very good as was the service. They were very accommodating to a young boy and prepared something off the menu to his liking. One downside however is the lack of bathrooms on site. A trip by stairs or elevator leads you through what appears to be the hotel laundry room to find uni sex stalls. Also no soap or paper towels were available on Sunday evening so one must wonder how the sign notifying employee's that they must wash hands is handled.
Wonderful food and amazing service. We celebrated a very happy anniversary dinner.
My grandparents came here from Italy. Needless to say, I know authentic Italian food. This place is the real deal. The pasta is great, cooked perfectly. The shrimp is delicious. I recommend Chaz when you are in the area.
We were very disappointed. The food was sub par and not worth the price you pay. My husband had the chicken parm and it was so bland. My mushroom ravioli were just ok. The service was great, but if you are looking for good Italian food, check out somewhere else.
Service was very good. I thought it strange for an Italian restaurant to serve wheat bread. Bucatini carbonara was excellent. Veal Osso Bucco was tender but not melt in your mouth. It was served with pasta instead of risotto; not bad. My wife enjoyed her chicken dish. No Amarone or Brunello by the glass, settled for Chianti Classico. Ricotta cheesecake was good, cappuccino decent.
I had high expectations and this food was Amazing! Every plate was empty at the end of our meal.
Chazz Palminteri was beautifully and elegantly decorated and had wonderful ambiance. The wait staff was dressed nicely and very courteous. The menu had a lot to choose from and was delicious. It is a little bit darker than I would like, but the experience was wonderful and I look forward to eating there again.
The staff are all helpful. Our waiter was excellent, very knowledgeable and accommodating. The food is outstanding!! Definitely will return
Excellent food and service and waiter and Chazz came in for dinner!!
The staff was very friendly and attentive. No rushing us. Food was excellent. We went back to bar to have a after dinner drink with the bartender yelana. She was great
We ate here last year for my 50th birthday and enjoyed it so much we decided to go back to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.
The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly and attentive. I definitely recommend it if you want a very nice Italian restaurant with great atmosphere.
Great meal overall, great place to go before broadway show! Loved the Lobster with Pasta!
