Flavorful and fantastic! A great choice for some light appetizers or a full meal.
Must recommend for anyone visiting Nashville!!!
Great all around experience. Food was excellent and loved the layout and feel of the place.
This is our favorite place to eat whenever we go to Nashville. Great service and wonderful food.
Chauhan is always a charm.
I've been to Chauhan a dozen times and it never disappoints. Love the atmosphere, and food is always great. I'm determined to try something different, but the poutine appetizer and the vindaloo is so wonderful I have to have it every time.
Drinks and food were wonderful as usual. Chauhan remains one of my favorite spots in Nashville! My date loved it so much he’s bringing his daughter back next weekend.
Our waiter was great, food was fast and tasty! Everyone should give it a try!
Absolutely delicious and loved the creativity in the menu. Not your typical Indian presentation but still kept true to the flavors of traditional Indian cuisine. Would definitely dine again.
Amazing food. The mussles were the best I have ever had. Tikki Masala was great. Desert was amazing. The only dish that was so-so was the Chili Rellano. Great service. My one complaint -- this was a birthday dinner for our 20-year old daughter. At the end, the server conveyed a message to her that some guy in the restaurant thought she was beautiful and wanted to giver her his card. Having our daughter hit on in front of her family, and a family event was not cool.
Really well put restaurants, I wish there was more of them. However, there is only one thing that I was extremely disappointed with, it was our gulab jamun cheesecake. The crust was so hard, every time we broke into it, we lost a piece to the table, so the table ate more of it than we did.... but what we did manage to eat, tasted excellent.
Chauhan has become our favorite for a date or a special night out. When we have time we especially like to share a pot of chai with dessert.
Always delivers. Love every Masala Daba. Leave that skirt steak vindaloo on the menu. We are bringing back friends for it and more!
Our favorite restaurant in Nashville - hands down!
Food was great, service was horrible unless you like to sit with dirty dinner dishes in front of you while you’re paying your check and eating dessert.
The food was delicious and very interesting to see and smell. The ambience was cool because we felt transported to India. The staff was top notch and very service oriented. I have met Maneet before in Los Angeles. She was in New York taping for 📺; however, it felt as if she was there because the people who served us were very sensitive to the diners needs. I felt that we were treated as valued guests and have already told some local folks who had not heard of Chauhan Ale and Masala. Two thumbs way up 👍
Perfect as usual! Absolutely love the mussels appetizer and naan.
Maybe the best Indian food I've ever put in my mouth? So very glad we chose to eat here while visiting Nashville - the food was insanely delicious. Will be recommending it to all of my friends who are headed there.
We are regulars and went there on a Sunday night specifically because it’s not too crazy. The service was so slow this time and it wasn’t even that crowded. Could not figure out what the problem was. The waitress kept saying “I will be right back” for everything, for bringing menus, water, plates, food and kept disappearing. The food was good as always, but the lack of service on a slow night will prevent me from going back for a while.
Fabulous food and atmosphere
Came here for a birthday celebration with a group of 6 people, the food was amazing and our server Sydney was the best! She really added a great and attentive touch to our experience. We will be back.
Excellent spot for a date night. Superior service. My girlfriend said it best, "this is next-level Indian cuisine."
Service was very good. Unfortunately the menu has changed, the prices have gone up and the wine pour size has gone down. I guess that’s Nashville now, but I don’t like it. I left feeling a bit frustrated.
Great service even a special visit from Meneet herself. Food is always amazing. I love the Indian southern flare. Craft cocktails are must try.
Great overall experience.
Chauhan nevertheless ceases to amaze, with food, hospitality (from service professionals to management and all in between). On this visit we saw a new menu! Would return repeatedly anyway, but now there’s even more reason to do so- must try all the new stuff!! Highly recommended!
Excellent food, ambience, and service. Compliments to the chef on a delicious meal!
The food was excellent. We had an appetizer from the happy hour menu and dinner from the regular menu. Both were very good. It was nice that they allowed us both menus. Will definitely go back if we get a chance while we are still in Nashville.
Great food and service. Our waiter was amazing and recommended a number of dishes that turned out great. The meatball appetizer was delicious and I had the skirt steak. Cooked just right and great flavors. Wife had one of the curry dishes with chicken and can’t go wrong with any of these.
Awesome food. Great service.
"I love the atmosphere of this place - India meets industrial. Warm and inviting with Bollywood clips ahowing on the walls. The food was so flavorful. We definitely would return to try more dishes. Since we were sharing everything we asked for the the food to be served when ready and they paced it perfectly. The only things that didn't hit the mark was one of the desserts: saffron kheer with pistachio ice cream. The presentations in a mason jar with a popsicle was clever. The pistachio popsicle was too hard and tasted chalky.
I visited Nashville for my birthday this past Saturday. I made reservations. When we arrived, we were told we had to wait. The wait was 20 minutes. Half of that time was spent watching two booths become available but not be bused. The appetizers were ok. If you like very sweet dishes then you'll love the gol guppa shots and the nachos. The waiter who brought them out was very informative on how to pour the cilantro jalapeno juice and eat the shot. The entrees took over an hour to come out. We had finally decided to leave and were asked to wait a few more minutes. We did, but only 2 of our dishes came out. We were then asked to wait longer, which we did and the rest came. The meals were subpar and my chilli relleno was not warm. The delicious naan bread was the star of the night. Our waiter was nice, but it took him very long to let us know what was going on with the food and to compensate on the bill for the inconvenience. He said they were understaffed, which is understandable. However, doing damage control early on is very important. The ambiance was nice. I was really hoping that chef maneets restaurant would be a great experience. Hopefully, their service will get better.
Each dish came out like warm and got
Cold very quickly. There was plenty of effort. I think they just got behind.
Outstanding as always. Now if only I could get my hands on the poutine recipe! So delicious, definitely a dish everyone should try.
I keep trying to find other Indian restaurants in Nadhville...but always find myself going back to Chuahan. The food is excellent, drinks are great, and the environment is busy but not overwhelmingly loud.
Highly recommend this to Nashville natives or tourists.
Very tasty, a bit on the pricey side for brunch.
We were extremely disappointed by the brunch menu offered at lunchtime on saturday
WOW! Fabulous! Amazing! Probably our favorite new restaurant. The chicken tikamasala and lamb were both delicious. The naan, order one of each, you will want them to soak up the sauces. Enough about the food- the ambiance is very cool. Bollywood movies are projected on the walls as art. The service- 10+ stars! The leftovers we had for breakfast the next day made it full circle. This place is a must in Nashville.
