Loved the simple menu and the food was amazing! Will definitely go back next time we are in town!
Chloe was a great server and extremely fast. My partner and I only ordered apps, but they came out quickly. I had the lobster add-on and the artichokes, and my partner had the naan and tikka masala fries. The portions were just enough and the flavors were amazing. This wasn’t our first time, but we’ll definitely be back again.
Chauhan Ale & Masala House never disappoints. Always wind up eating too much because the food is just so good.
We've been able to get out to eat AT a restaurant exactly 4 times since the start of the Covid pandemic, and 3 of those times, my wife has requested Chauhan Ale & Masala House. This is high praise from someone who claimed to not like Indian food prior to eating here.
The lamb korma and the broccolini are our go to items, but cannot forget the amazing Philly cheesesteak naan.
Highly recommend this gem.
Great food and service! Will definitely be back.
We had a wonderful meal with great service and excellent food! We will be back and always recommend!
The food was incredible and our server Jimmy was a different class. It makes such a difference having a server that knows everything on the menu and can recommend drinks too.
If you want a curry, there is no better place in Nashville.
It’s more the cheapest, but the quality is great.
Always a gorgeous meal! The coconut curry with shrimp is my new fav!
I’ve been wanting to try Chahaun for a while now and it exceeded expectations! The food was fabulous and our server was amazing! A must try in Nashville!!!
The first impression is the restaurant is beautiful. The people who work here remind me of a family restaurant. We were greated at the the entrance by a hostess who was genuinely hospitable. Our server was Chloe and she was amazing. We had great food to compliment everything. This is a forward thinking restaurant that we wished kept a few traditional vegetarian dishes. The service is impeccable from everyone which to us is almost more important. We'll be returning many times and are looking forward to trying new dishes. Thank you for everything tonight.
They didn’t really space out the tables at all. A little scary during Covid.
Loved this place for our date night! We do y get out very often and it defiantly was worth it. The waitress was very helpful on suggesting what to eat since it was our first time eating Indian food .
Fantastic food in a fantastic environment. Great service from the wait staff. Will definitely be returning to try the many different dishes.
This place is amazing!!! Classic Indian cuisine fused with Southern home cooking. Service and food were fantastic! The best pumpkin soup I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to return!
Terrific as always!
If I could give our server more than 5 stars, I would! We enjoyed everything about our visit, but her recommendations were great! This place does not disappoint/)
Even with a slightly reduced menu, the food, atmosphere and service are always awesome. Our party of five had the tandoori chicken poutine, artichoke pakora and gol guppa shots. All were delicious. We had a variety of entrees and multiple cocktails, wine and beers. I've been here several times, as well as Chaatable, and it's always great food and a fun experience.
My husband and I dined here again this year for our anniversary. The food is outstanding and we had excellent service.
Food was fabulous, service was excellent. Will definitely add to my restaurant stops when im in Nashville!
We loved this place. It is our favorite restaurant in Nasvhille. The food is of the highest quality.
Great food and staff!
Be back next time we are in Nashville
This was an outstanding dining experience, far exceeding our high hopes and expectations.
The Pineapple Express cocktail was the perfect blend of smoke, spice and citrus. The gol guppa shots so refreshing. The short rib french onion naan with jus also somehow managed to be the best French onion soup I’ve ever tasted, even though it is in bread form.
And all of that was before the tomahawk ribeye (seasoned and cooked perfectly), which was our main reason for coming. The ribeye combined with the saag curry gave a steakhouse fusion feel we were looking forward to. And the aloo au gratin was another brain-melting, perfect combination of spices and textures.
Chauhan is doing so many cultures proud. I look forward to returning any time I am in Nashville.
Made a special trip after seeing Maneet guide Guy Fieri through making the poutine on Food Network. Absolutely worth it and would go back again next time we are in Nashville. Great food - had a bunch of apps instead of meal - all were delicious- chicken pakora, poutine, short rib naan, butternut squash soup and garlic parm naan. Only disappointment is that they were out of the special saffron IPA.
Great food, nice atmosphere and an excellent staff. Would definitely go there again!
We made reservations about a a week before Christmas and was able to get a table for 6 people. The food was amazing! I’ve been here once before and wanted to get my parents to try something new - they loved it. Our server was attentive and fun. The prices are on the higher side, but well worth the experience. Will go back again!
Overall, a phenomenal experience. Food and cocktails were all exceptional as was our server!
The food was outstanding. Amazing service. The servers do a great job of making helpful suggestions.
Love this place and the new menu!
Great quality delicious Indian food. Excellent service and fun ambiance, one of our favorite places to go to in Nashville.
Everything was outstanding! The service was great, as was the food. Try the poutine!
Great experience in presentation and variety of dishes. Definitely a keeper for traveling to Nashville!
This was our 3rd time here. The first two times were..magical. This time was... Well... Lack of a better phrase...meh. our server had NO passion. There was nothing special. We would have had a better time at an Indian buffet. The food was great but there was no fun to this dinner.
We were anticipating a bit more authentic Indian food having moved here from Los Angeles which has thousands of Indian restaurants. While the butternut soup was excellent and flavorful, our curry was bland and we were not asked the typical questions of how much heat we wanted in our curry. The waiter brought us additional spice when we requested it which helped somewhat, but the curry itself was bland from the start. While the atmosphere is great, I we would not be repeat customers.
Everything was great. Would have liked to be seated further from other people, but I realize that’s the risk we take at this time.
This is our family’s go to place to celebrate... whether it be a special occasion or just celebrating getting out of the house these days. Always a great atmosphere, great food and great service. Feels very safe during covid.
It was sooooo delicious. There is a braised short rib item on the appetizer menu that is a MUST.
Good food and service. Not a lot of people in the dining room — assumed because of COVID
I had heard so many great things about this restaurant and had high expectations. Sadly the menu was limited to “common” Indian food that lacked depth and flavor. I’ve had better from a food truck at a much lower price. $90 for two people was pricey for what we had...lamb vindaloo and chicken miolee. I would recommend the Nashville hot chicken appetizer,if you like it spicy, it will leave you smokin! I had a Old Chauhan for a cocktail...basically an old fashioned with chai syrup. Overall, it was good, but not blow your socks off.
Always perfect. One of my favorite Nashville restaurants
I was so excited to try the Poutine but when it came, it was not hot, just kind of tepid. I ordered Shrimp Saag and the shrimp came with the tails still attached. That’s ok for shrimp cocktail but not when you’re trying to have a hot dish with lots of sauce. Our waitress was very sweet but not very fast and we waited for her a lot. We did not think the prices warranted the food that we received. I was really excited to try Chauhan as it came so highly recommended but we don’t think we’ll go back.
