Scenery and experience are lovely. We had to ask to be seated outside of the bar area after staying we were out for an date/occasion. We were told she had to check with her manager- seated at a better spot and then 3 other parties experienced the same thing. Bad table- don’t seat people there.
The food was good- not 5 star worthy. The lobster as part of the clam bake meal was luke warm and somewhat tough. Desserts were outstanding!
Overall, if you’re looking for a beautiful night on the water in Chatham with a good bar- stick to the drinks here and get a better lobster for WAY less money elsewhere.

Ok, this was our favorite place. Have eaten there many times in the past three summers. We’d never done the clambake as it’s always packed and too hard to get reservations. So excited when we found out that close friends would be here and we got reservations!
Apparently there weren’t many reservations for this past Monday night so they put out an anemic looking spread.
One small casserole dish of steamers and mussels. Cold. Almost empty. Asked two people for refill. No luck. Please understand there were very few diners!
Asked our waiter who brought me a plate of warm seafood. I wasn’t eating a lobster so this plus salads, was my dinner.
No more mussels or clams put out.
Reservation was at 8, only one available.
I’m told the lobsters were good.
Went up for dessert which was extremely picked over and warm (strawberry shortcake, mousse cake)
Obviously sitting out for hours.
Left and went to parking lot to find that valet parkers were gone. We and three other couples stood around waiting for someone to figure out where the keys were.
Apparently brought up to hotel front desk!
What a mess!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with kindness!! From the parking attendants, hostess, bartenders, and waiter!! Food was plentiful and delicious! The variety seemed endless and we tried just about everything!! You can’t beat the view either- it is priceless! Thank you CBI Beach House for creating another spectacular summer memory:)

The clambake buffet has a great variety. The chilled table had great selections. To bad the Chatham oysters are so small. The salads were wonderful. The clam chowder good, but not as good as Squires. Order the Lobstah if you are a Lobstah person well prepared. Not a "date" night location in the summer as very busy. The views over the beach is wonderful. One safety note more foot lighting needed from the deck to your car.

The clam bake buffet is great. Everything you can think of and plenty of it...Enjoy.... Looking back I strongly suggest you do not charge any resturant or any other expenses to your room. Im still going back and forth with the inn on charges we didn’t make. The billing dept laughed at me when I said I don’t know what a ‘Tito” is... Sorry guys, I’m not a savvy hipster.

The atmosphere is vibrant and fun. The service was very good. The buffet food is also very good. It’s pricey for what you get, but it was a nice evening.

Had dinner with family and friends at clam bake at the beach house. Overall, the buffet was underwhelming and most of the food was over cooked or no longer warm. Lobster was nicely done but the rest of the food options were less than stellar.

We went to the clam bake dinner and they kept running out of food and not replenishing the food or the cocktail sauce.
Absolutely not worth the money. This could be an amazing experience if they would just get their act together.

It was buffet night, which we didn't realize, and it was not possible to order from a menu. The food was ok but the price was outrageously high. It was great to be beach-side but we were taken by surprise.

The Chatham Bars inn Beach Grill is a buffet-style dinner set in a spectacular ocean-view setting at a beautiful hotel in Chatham. This cape cod beauty is unlike anything I have ever experienced. The back drop is picture perfect with boats sitting in the harbor, and a beautiful, sea inspired, dining hall with outside seating. There is a bon fire and tug of war for kids on the nearby sand, and if they are old enough kids can play on the sand, while you sit back and enjoy a drink and the scenery with friends and family. There is a lot of food to choose from. I would have to say the food it good, but not top-shelf, but it's a buffet, you can't expect the best. This year I noticed the clam chowder wasn't very good.

Our evening at the Beach House Grill started off very well, lovely table outside but 1/2 hour into our meal it started to rain and chaos ensued. The staff was clearly unprepared and we were left to fend for ourselves. We were told to "grab your lobster and find a table? Really for a meal that was $150, grab your food and find a table? CBI you can do better than that!

We had two meals at the Beach House Grille on our recent Cape vacation. It's in a perfect spot and the atmosphere is really fun and enjoyable, overlooking the water. It's quite pricey, but in my book worth it for the experience. Lunch was enjoyable and tasty. We also did the evening clam bake. There's a great selection of food, some quite good and others with that classic overcooked buffet taste. But the atmosphere is fun and the food was plentiful. Our daughter loved the organized games on the beach, and we were thrilled that the meal was not rushed at all. They really expect you to sit back and relax and stay for a while.

Eight of us (including 4 children ages 7 to 16) went for the dinner buffett one evening in July 2011. The wait staff was really green. Nice kids, but they were out of their element. Our waiter forgot to mention that lobster was included in the price of the buffett. You need to ask to it, as it comes directly from the kitchen. My mother-in-law was really dissapointed about that. Otherwise the food in the buffett was better than average and the kids had a great time. Great location, great view and when one of our kids found glass in her salad the manager went on a hunt to figure out what happened. Turned out the broken glass was in the dressing. The manager took one of the meals off our bill as a courtesy. V. classy!

Outstanding for seafood and lobster. The meats that were grilled were only okay, and the kids buffet only had french fries, chicken fingers and pizza.

Excellent evening out - perfect weather (IMPORTANT!) and service was impeccable. Clambake was top notch.

I thought $37.00 for two Bud Lights and two mojitos was excessive.

There is nothing more classic New England than a Summer's eve at the Chatham Bars Inn. The Beach House grill features a traditional NE clambake during the week & it is packed with all the staples! The backdrop of Chatham's picturesque Pleasant Bay is breathtaking at sunset. The menu includes offerings for children. Our only issue: the waitstaff wasn't very attentive, our server seemed to be handling too many tables. Since it is a buffet, the servers seemed to be scarce; made it tough to enjoy a second cocktail ;-). Overall, a must if you are in the area!

Our clambake dinner was better than expected. There were so many choices that it was hard to try everything that was included, but what we did have was excellent. You need to plan on pacing yourself and enjoying all dishes slowly - there is only one seating so no rush and the view is beautiful.
