A fine dining experience, as usual.
Good food, nice setting, good service. Sitting out on the deck in good weather is a big plus.
The atmosphere is top notch. Cozy, Elegant, good Scenery.
Food has always been very good and the price not bad relative to what you might expect.
The only not perfect mark would be on the wait staff and this has been the case several times with different stuff. There was one very friendly lady that talked to us in the lobby. The rest of the crew just don't seem to be happy to be there. They are efficient and do a fine job. They don't really do anything wrong. They just don't seem to truly care at all about the guests.
Wine tasting was fabulous, we didn’t have time for the tour but there will definitely be a next time, when I’m in NC again. Can’t wait to be there in the spring! Relatively Short drive from Greensboro.
Food in the restaurant was delicious and fairly priced. Server was friendly and efficient! She was very helpful with the menu. Beautiful presentation!
had a reservation but still had to wait- servicers seemed to be too rushed- menu was limited-portions were quite small- shrimp and grits were cold and the shrimp tasted fishy- not happy overall with the restaurant - it has gone down hill and I have been going there for 12 years- not the same anymore
Lovely grounds, delicious wine tasting experience and the best pulled pork sandwich I've ever had
My wife and I love this place. We regularly take out of town guests here for Sunday brunch.
My wife, son, and I went for Sunday brunch. The food and service were amazing. The grits are the best we've ever had and we try a lot of grits! Our server was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The views are great if you get a window table. The prices are quite reasonable as well. We highly recommend visiting! The only drawback was that we were seated in a room with a large party which was rather noisy. It was hard for us to hear each other until they settled down.
Made reservations for Saturday night at 6:00. Went up early to visit the winery. There was at least a 30 minute wait just for the wine tasting. Walked back to the restaurant and had a glass of wine at their small bar before dinner. Food was OK. We had the steak which ended up being the ribeye being served that night. It was tender but was a bit dry and was very salty. The sides were good. We ate dessert also. It was very good. As far as the wine is concerned...we had their Cabernet Franc . It was good but ridiculously overpriced per glass. The wait staff was nice but obviously many were inexperienced. It's a beautiful place, great views, nice people, and has good food. It should be appreciated for this reason. I know they have some wonderful event there are as well.
We made reservations in advance which I highly recommend if you are making the drive from out of the area. They turned several groups away who just showed up. We went to the gift shop first and enjoyed a fantastic wine tasting then went to have lunch at 2:00 at the restaurant. We were seated right away and enjoyed a beautiful view while dining on the back porch. My friend had the linguini with white wine sauce, I had the blackened catfish. Both OUTSTANDING! We enjoyed brussel sprouts with this wonderful Feta/greek yogurt dip. Cheese tray with a bottle of Our Dog Blue. Really enjoyed a relaxing lunch and wine tasting! Highly recommend!!
Went to Chateau Morrisette to celebrate our anniversary. We have been going to this restaurant since it opened many years ago. Sad to see that many things needed maintenance. Someone painted the dining room with the fireplace navy and gray with white trim. The colors looked awful and the paint job was terrible. It remined me of a cheap seafood restaurant. It certainly was not keeping with the look of a winery. The shrimp and grits was good but crab cake sandwich was fair. The meal was certainly not a good value. The restaurant has had many chefs over the years. Some were very good but we have not had the quality food and experience lately.
Food was decent. Not what it used to be though. Great wine though
Gorgeous view on a perfect night to enjoy good food and wine. We sat on the patio.
There were 6 of us for brunch (2 had never been) -our server was excellent (her name might have been Shannon?)- the food & drinks were amazing. We had an excellent adventure aka girls day out. Thank you & we will definitely be back.
Great service. Good food. Can’t beat the ambiance. Even better if you can sit near a window and look out over the mountains. We went for dinner, but if you go for lunch sit outside and enjoy the fresh air and gorgeous view.
Great food and beautiful view! Food came out and was cooked perfectly. Service was good. Def would done there again!
Amazing food and service as always
Our waitress kept apologizing because she was just returning and was very scattered. She dropped a knife on my phone and cracked my screen cover and spilled jam all over my pants. Ordered soup and she told me 30 minutes after the original order that they no longer had potato chowder. The burger was cold and When asked what type of cheese was on the cheeseboard she told me there was a gouda, blue and a chewy cheese but she wasn’t sure what it was. When it arrived, there was one type of cheese and I believe it was cheddar. Terrible experience.
Our server was outstanding. She is a great asset to your organization
Celebrating birthday for a friend Waiter made it great and let
Our friend pick a yummy dessert for complimentary. She picked Creme brûlée . Food was good.
Julia is the best! She was our server. Our food was stellar!!!
It is our absolute destination of choice. Make it yours!
Everything was great -we all enjoyed a delicious meal and great wine in a beautiful setting.
We will return for another visit.
Beautiful views. Charming ambiance. Wonderful menu. Amazing meal. Always enjoyable. You should eat there.
Thank you for the wonderful comments! We hope you will return to see us very soon!
Very friendly staff! The food was outstanding! I highly recommend brunch.
Great out of the way winery and restaurant. Nice ride along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
We sat outside on the patio on a beautiful warm evening. Great views of the surrounding vistas. The food was wonderful. One member of our party was gluten free/celiac and they were able to accommodate her needs. She had the duck confit and couldn't stop raving about it! Others had the steak, ribs, and pork chop dishes and loved them. We also had the warm olives and the cheese/meat board (not gluten free!). The peach tart dessert was very tasty AND gluten free! The wine was great and the evening couldn't have been better.
We are glad that you enjoyed your experience with us, we look forward to making your next visit just as memorable!
First experience was by recommendation a couple years ago. We went to the Sunday brunch buffet and it was outstanding. We were vacationing again in the area and looked forward to the brunch buffet. When we arrived, we were told they discontinued it without explanation. I usually don't spend $80 on breakfast/lunch for two. For what we got it was not a good value.
Each and every time I come the Chateau Morrisette I am impressed with the overall feel of the restaurant/winery. The staff are patient and very courteous. For the foodie that I am, every bite excites my Palette. I look forward to every visit.
Beautiful setting with spectacular view off the back. Unless it’s raining or snowing... ask to sit outside.
I took friends from out-of-state and they were blown away. Dining on the deck always brings memories and comments from guests about the comparison with Austria or Switzerland. After a fim wine tasting at the winery earlier, we did not have wine with the meal, but we recognized a couple that would have added to the experience. Safe driving back home! Missed the scrap book of the construction of the winery. I wanted to share that with the guests. With the beautiful weather it was a memorable experience.
We had a party of four (4) and had lunch and a bottle of wine on the outdoor patio on a very pleasant day in late September. Great service, great food and a wonderful view. We would recommend Chateau Morrisette.
We had a great time, great atmosphere' wonderful view'good food.
This place is fantastic. There was a large table of loud people, but they were celebrating, having fun.
Our waitress was very nice, we always have her, but we do love this place. Food is delicious!!
Chateau Morrisette is such a beautiful winery. The food at the restaurant was amazing. The deep fried Brussels sprouts were at the top of our list! And the creme brûlée was an excellent dessert. The view was stunning, and the ambiance was so relaxing. It was a wonderful place to celebrate my husband’s birthday and our seventeenth anniversary.
We were very disappointed. We had been there several years ago for the Sunday brunch buffet, which we thoroughly enjoyed and was the reason we returned.
We were not aware that there was no longer a brunch buffet. The menu was rather limited and no bread was included with the meal we were charged extra for a biscuit and toast. Definitely not a good value. In addition when I called to make the reservation for 4, we were asked if we were coming for a special occasion, to which I informed them that it was for my birthday. No mention was made by the staff about the the birthday celebration upon arrival or during our meal, and nothing special was offered - so why even ask???
We were vacationing at a local campground. We dined with you on 9-21-2019 for our 28th wedding anniversary. It was DELICIOUS. Jason our waiter and Stephanie who was orienting were EXCELLENT !!!!!!
The food was wonderful and the apple cider was FANTASTIC !!!!!!!!
So much better than the last time we went! We were celebrating my bachelorette and the bartender at the Wine Tasting, I believe her name was Amanda, was absolutely amazing and made the experience so memorable for us!
It was great, good food and good wine. Julie was an excellent waitress.
Always love coming here. The service food and wine are consistently top notch.
