Seafood
Crawfish, a staple of Louisiana seafood, attracts thousands of visitors each year from all over the country to the region. The traditional Cajun way of serving crawfish is adding a special mix of homemade, southern style boil’s seasoning to a batch of crawfish. The boil is drained and dumped right onto the table. This style of food brings about a fun, social atmosphere for family and friends to gather during meal time. Add some beers and football and you have the perfect ingredients for a great time enjoyed by all. Our concept is centered around fun, friends, family and food. Utensils are discouraged. Getting hands on is encouraged. Crawfish are our mainstay, but we offer a good variety of seafood including shrimp, oysters, crab, and fish. Feel free to drop by anytime for to watch a game, enjoy good food and a few drinks!

I know the NBA Finals were that night but I was unable to get an open table reservation after 545. By the time I left at 630 on my 5pm res, there were still several open tables, that to me did not reflect the lack of reservations. I understand for the weekend but on a Tuesday this was weird. 2nd issue is, the beer taps were broken or for some reason out of service, waitress admitted this was discovered the night before, so instead of fixing it during the day they waited until they opened at 5, that left those drink options unavailable until at least 7, the bottle selection is not that extensive. They had a house beer but my particular waitress wasn't knowledgeable about it. They offered to ask the bartender but it's the house beer ! 3rd, I know it's a new Orleans style seafood but they have blue crabs on the menu, waitress said they wouldn't be available for another month to a month and a half if not more. Why is it on the menu? Something that unavailable should be advertised as a special not Nota menu item IMHO. Blue crabs are very much in season mid june. Outside of these noted concerns I will probably give them another try, the seafood was amazing. Crawfish, clams, mussels, all a wonderful delicious mess.

Restaurant was highly recommended by a friend, but I found it to be disappointing. I was not happy with the limited menu selection. The food was decent, but our service was not. We sat outside, outdoor seating area is very small. Waitress was not attentive at all. Twice we had to go into the restaurant, once for napkins and once for silverware, the bare basics of good service. Don't think I'll be returning.

First of all the Gumbo was the best I've ever had and a nice portion was only 10 bucks. Drinks strong and the staff was awesome. The outdoor area is small but they were so nice about my Yellow Lab eating next to us it didn't matter. They even brought out water for her without me asking. Oh and the fried Cheesecake 3 of us split was gone in seconds. Amazing.

Chasin' Tails might do things a little differently than they do at the traditional boiling pot restaurants in New Orleans but we enjoyed it all the same. If you haven't been, I recommend checking the place out!

Great casual restaurant with awesome food! The atmosphere is relaxed, you get a bib with your dinner, and great for sharing lots of options. Snow crab legs & the whole dang thang platter are 2 of my favorite options however the crawfish left something to be desired.

The place is just "ok" I went for my husband birthday. The drink I ordered which was the fish bowl was VERY watered down in other words it tasted just like Kool aide however my husband ordered a hurricane and it actually tasted like an adult beverage. The food was just alright I had the lobster & snow crab legs. I would recommend just getting the crab legs if you do go and lastly the parking is horrible!

My boyfriend and I visit this restaurant often. Their crawfish are the best in the DMV... Next to the those served at the ACME Oyster House in New Orleans. Overall, they serve a Cajun , style menu (seafood, jambalaya, etc). The one item missing from the menu is hush puppies, but according to the server they are currently working on recipes. The service is top notch! All the servers are friendly, curteous, and knowledgable. The best!!!

We had made reservations and were accepted in on-time despite it being fairly busy on a Thursday night. Vary "crab shack" type of feel with paper down on the table. The starters were pretty much all fried. That's ok if you're expecting it, I was hoping for at least a couple non-fried options. The service was very slow and very casual. Having said that, loved the crawfish, just be prepared to know you're going for the food, not the atmosphere or service.

I have been there between 10 - 15 times and they have never failed to delivery a pleasant experience. Even with a full house my table was ready within 10 minutes of my reservation. The appetizer was served fast & hot (calamari). The rest of the order was bought out as requested along with all the required utensils and condiments. I look forward to returning throughout the spring & summer of 2015.

SPOILER ALERT: Chasin' Tails is coming to Centreville this year!! DO NOT SHOW UP TO THIS PLACE WITHOUT A RESERVATION!!! I was soooo glad I made one. N'awlins is in Falls Church! First-time customers and we were quite pleased. Our server, Will, was sooo on point...we couldn't have done better. We devoured my gator bites, wolfed down sweet potato fries, tore through fried and steamed shrimp, steamed corn and steamed potatoes. I still had food to bring home! I delicately dipped and inhaled some of the free order of beignets! Don't forget to do your Yelp! checkin. The manager checked in with us, "mister no name tag"! He was genuinely courteous and even had some jokes! Love this place! I hope they bring all that we experienced to the Centreville location! I'm very excited!!!

The seafood entrees (garlic butter shrimp & jambalaya) were tasty but the calamari & sweet potato fries appetizer was just so-so. The corn had no flavor. Service was good @ 5:30 on a Thursday. No trouble parking that early, but an hour later the street parking was full. $11.50 for a manhattan is too much.

Highly recommended to make a reservation here or get there when they open. The line forms pretty quickly. Don't wear your nice clothes because yo can get messy. We had the King Crab legs, shrimp and mussels and they were cooked just right. If you like canjin style food and fresh this is it. We also had the Crawfish mac and cheese and this was quite good also. It is nice to fine a friendly and great service at this place. we plan on going back and will try some more of their dishes.

The Crawdad bags are outstanding, very well priced and served to your choice of spiciness. The fried green tomatoes and beignets also fantastic. The gumbo wasn't as good as we were hoping but, overall, really good. Waiter was friendly but very young and slightly forgetful. We will definitely be going back and would recommend to anyone missing Louisiana Crawdads and beignets :)

Nothing like it that I know of in the area. If you love seafood, this place is a must. Yummy boiled seafood seasoned to your liking straight to your table. Got crab legs, shrimp & mussels in garlic butter...was delish! Also ordered 'whole dang thang' appetizer- had fried calamari, shrimp & gator- it tasted like chicken :) Server was attentive & would definitely come back. Only downside may be parking which you may have to drive around for esp when they are super busy- used park mobile app for street parking. Enjoy!

The popularity of this place is baffling. The food is quite honestly pretty awful. Chicken wings were soggy and greasy and, despite ording them "hot," had virtually no flavor to speak of. A bowl of jambalaya, a classic cajun specialty, was another flavorless mess. Tasted like it had been made hours before and left to sit -- mushy rice and not a lick of spice to the dish. The shrimp in a bag was a little better, but really unremarkable. In its favor, the prices are very low, which may account for the crowds, the fries were crispy and our server was friendly and cheerful. Note also that there is a heavy emphasis on fried stuff here.

We've been there a few times. However this time ( my daughters birthday) was different. It was not busy at all but it took the waitress 20 minutes to even acknowledge us. She walked by the table at least 12 times. She did apologize and offered us free dessert but we said no just get our order in. The food was great as always but the service left a sour taste in my mouth. If the place was busy I would have totally understood.

I've been keeping this place a secret from my kids even though I knew they'd love the bibs, crawfish and New Orleans feel, having recently visited the Big Easy. It was a big hit, of course. And the birthday benigets were perfect and appreciated! I'll be back and back again!
