Dads 70th, they brought out a huge piece of cake for him and sang and played happy bday on a guitar, great food and service xx
Skanky. Service was not good. Prime rib was as bad as I've ever had. Fish cream sauce was inedible. Even the chicken nuggets were not very good. While the Cakebread was wonderful the overall experience was not what it used to be. Understand why the franchise reputation has gone downhill.
Had great expectation as I had a wonderful experience last time at the old location in Honolulu about 15 years ago however I am sorry to say with the present restaurant although it is a great location, food was overpriced and very poor quality.
We are return customers every year. Always enjoy the food, and excellent service.
It took waaaay too long to get our food. Because of the timing, we missed the Honolulu festival fireworkds.
Food is bad wedding reception quality at best. The setting is the only redeeming quality, but there are many better options on Waikiki.
We enjoyed our dinner and the view was beautiful, but the restaurant needs some updating.
Very good great value
We dine at Chart House in every visit to Oahu. It is one of our "go-to" restaurants in Oahu. The food and ambiance are outstanding. Their signature dish, the Ahi Mignon, is one of the best preparations in the islands. However, this trip, the Ahi was a little dry and did not taste fresh. The Ahi at Lei Lei's (Turtle Bay) and Duke's (Maui) was much better. Otherwise, the meal was excellent. The only downside is the hour we spent navigating the heavy traffic between Ko Olina and Waikiki. By contrast, it took only 35 minutes to drive much farther to Haliewa Joe's in Kaneohe.
Great atmosphere and view while dining. Excellent service dishes cleared quickly, the food was prepared as ordered and very tasty. Value menus available for those on a budget.
Anniversary dinner and our server was. Wry attentive
We loved the food and the service. Very nice, quiet environment and on Friday nights you can see fireworks from the restaurant. We definitely would return and recommend.
It was good place for my aniversity.
i want seat a balcony, but so many person already seat.
Chart House never disappoints. The food was excellent and big portions. We all ordered off of a special menu. $59 for an appetizer, soup or salad, main dish, and dessert. Delicious! We can wait to go back.
We ordered a course for 2 ( oysters, clam chowder, fillet mignon steaks, king crab, lobster, sorbet and crème brûlée, coffee) and these are so tasty!! Especially, a whole lobster is big and delicious ( I’m a lobster lover and I think this restaurant’s lobsters are the best in Hawaii). We could see many yachts from our table so my father and bro soon liked the restaurant ( they loved harbor restaurants). And the service is awesome!! When we left the restaurant, I left my iPhone on the table, but I didn’t notice it, we were waiting for the elevator. But a waitress ( I forgot to ask her name;-( She had pony-tailed long Jaír, and her height is about 160 cm) was immediately coming running toward us and handed my iPhone to me!! She is sooooo kind!!! Absolutely, we will be back to eat delicious sea food!!
Found the restaurant very noisy- could not have a normal conversation. Steaks are very expensive and not good value for money. The sword fish was very good.
Food and service was excellent. We were here 34 years ago.
The Prime rib was exceptional, fast service and retro-atmosphere. Definitely has a Hawaii feel to it and loved that we were right next to the harbor
Better than expected food and service. Will dine again.
Our dinner was very good, Food was amazing! We had the 59.00 dinner.
Rick & DeeDee were excellent!
As busy as it was, they were very attentive.
Although there was a line up, our request on OpenTable was honoured right away. We got the requested nice rail seating to watch the sunset and the Friday night fireworks at Waikiki 7:45pm
We made reservations, arrived about 15 min late, but were seated within 5 min of arrival. Food was ample and tasteful, we left with a take out box and were too full to finish dessert. My wife and I both ordered the special with filet minon. Though we had requested our meat cooked medium, it was prepared more on the med rare side, which was ok but I had expected a little less pink in the center. Service was good with the busboy ensuring our drinks were full and table timely cleared of each dish. We were seated with a view of the marina at sunset, which was nice. Our table was just far enough from the live music to be enjoyable and still carry on a normal conversation. Seating is a little congested and neighboring table conversations can be overheard but not overwhelming.
As we were celebrating my wife's birthday and our anniversary, the waitstaff joined in to sing my wife a birthday tune. This was followed by the local singer/guitarist, Tito, serenading us at our table for our anniversary. A very nice and unexpected touch. local singer/guitarist, Tito, serenading us at our table for our anniversary. A very nice and unexpected touch.
Older restaurant in Waikiki. The drinks were fabulous and the food was quite good. Their interpretation of a Mai Tai is called a Guy Tai, after their previous barkeeper, is not to be missed.
We went there for Valentine's Day. We didn't have to wait for our table. Ambiance was great, view was AWESOME, the service was GREAT and our waiter new his stuff. FOOD WAS AMAZING! 3 of us had the Ribeye Valentine's meal and our steak came exactly the way we wanted it. They had a merlot wine dipping sauce for the steak was AHHHMAZING!! AND, out food came quickly. Everything....PERFECT!! ❤
The Chart House always have a special place in our hearts. It's where my husband proposed and we decided to come here this Valentine's for dinner. I'm so thankful Open Table was an option to reserve. Once we got there our table was ready. The atmosphere was vibrant, fun and dimmed perfectly. Our waiter "Duke" was SUPERB! He treated us fabulously and gave us the best service ever! Our food was served with perfect timing from our beverages to our appetizer, our salad, entree and dessert. Everything was PERFECT! This is a great place for couples, groups, families and anyone! Thank you Chart House for a memorable Valentine's!!!
Really a great alternative to Waikiki waterfront restaurants.
Evening meal at The Chart House was an overall good experience with a couple minor hiccups. We arrived a few minutes early and would be first seated as the restaurant opened and were offered to get a drink at the bar - because we didn’t want a drink, hostess a little huffy and said “ there’s a bench around the corner”. Only other dislike we had was the attire of the ladies serving bar drinks - felt like they were wearing “Hooters” type skirts. This is a very nice restaurant with servers dressed very conservatively and classy. Otherwise food and service were exceptional!
Great fresh seafood, live entertainment with ukelele player which was the perfect volume for conversing, great view of the marina and an exceptional friendly staff. We'll go again this week.
This restaurant was recommended by several sources, but turned out to be very mundane. The food was un-spectacular and disappointing. The service was sharp and the staff friendly but not overly familiar which is great. Our table was a covered area on the water overlooking the marina, and the night air was perfect.
Fair price range
A kind clerk
But the poor hygiene of the dishes needs to be improved
A busy , well staffed restaurant that does no nonsense dinners. Specializing in steaks and seafood, especially local fish. Portions are good and quality is excellent.
My only complaint is that my husband's Pina Colada was weak and watery. Even my Kettle One martini was weak and I can't even explain that! The drinks were not worth the cost. Food was very good and hearty!
We had high hopes for The Chart House, sadly we were disappointed. First impressions weren’t great as we and all the other 530 reservations (the first of the night) weren’t seated until closer to 545 because the tables weren’t ready. That’s really unacceptable.
The waitstaff was fabulous during our meal and they have a dedicated cocktail server which I thought was a great touch. The drinks aren’t very strong but I prefer mine that way. And the other great point is the view of the harbor.
On to our meals, the price for the amount of food you get is pretty great for Waikiki. Sadly, the menu is stuck in bygone eras where lots of heavy sauce and huge portions were the norm. My husband chose the special menu which four courses: calamari (fine, huge portion), chowder (fine, nothing special), crab stuffed shrimp that were breaded and huge and covered in Hollandaise that was super heavy. He finished with cheesecake which was again fine.
I started with a Ceaser salad the most updated think we saw, and continued with garlic steak, once again swimming in garlic butter sauce. I will say the mashed potatoes were delicious. I had a creme brûlée for dessert which was fine but lacked the pretty brown sugar glaze.
Nothing was horrible food wise, but we would have had better food next door at Outback or Red Lobster abc we aren’t fans of large chain restaurants.
Food was fantastic. The people in our party had Mahimahi, King Salmon, and two different kinds of Ahi, and all were superb. Had to wait for a table about 20 minutes past our reservation time, but in the end it was well worth the wait.
Hostess seemed like She was hung over. Despite reservation we were delayed in seating by 15 minutes.
