Michael was a delightful server. So attentive and thorough. His assistants were equally professional. The food was delicious. It arrived with good timing/sequencing, perfect temperatures, and scrumptious flavors (escargot, oysters Rockefeller, ahi, lamb, creme brulee)
Make a reservation! Not sure exactly how these people took our table. But our reserved table was given away. But in the end we ended up having better seats with a view of the harbor. Also had live music.
Food was great. Did pupus only. Garlic chicken, calamari, escargot, poke, Caesar salad. The Guy Tai (Mai Tai) was so strong. But otherwise had an amazing time. Glad they opened up again.
Great food and service with super view
We had a wonderful last evening in Oahu, with a really nice dinner at the Chart House. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful.
Great service, great food!
One of the best Filet Mignon's I have ever had. Overall, the food was excellent.
Our dinner experience was varied and inconsistent. The main courses were slow in getting to the table and were luke warm. The dishes themselves were pretty good. The waiter did not replace our knives after removing from our appetizer course. The wine was not serv
Food was cold a d presentation could have been better. .
Excellent dinner the whole family enjoyed with a beautiful sunset view!
Happy to see this great restaurant to open again. Food and service is still great . I'll be back again. Mahalo.
Food was great, service was excellent and returning to the Chart House was an awesome experience!
The Bison tenderloin is the best cut of beef you will ever eat.
Great ambiance. Pricey food but go for cocktails, pupus and live hawaiian music.
Wasn't given a better table, as requested, due to being told the table was reserved by an unprofessional hostess..even though we had a reservation AS WELL.
Great to have the restaurant reopen. Service was OK but could have been better. Prices were increased significantly and steaks are at the Morton and Ruth Chris level - very high.
Food was great. We absolutely loved the ahi sashimi. Location was nice and right on the marina. We went after dark but this location would be way better ambiance while the sun is out or setting. The live music was really nice to have as well. Not too loud.
Great place. A bit pricey but the food was fabulous. I’d go back again for sure. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was great and the food and drinks were top notch. We ended up here on our last day in Oahu and it was the best way to finish our vacation.
Social distancing not in effect here. They attempted to sit us in corner table not big enough for one person let alone two. After we moved to a booth, the server seem to forget about us for 10 minutes. When we finally order our food my prime rib was ice cold! I made them take it back. Overall not impressed and will not be going back!!
Loved the old school vibe and service was great! Good portions, freshfood, but my entree lacked seasoning. Overall still enjoyed our experience!
We are regulars and we’re glad it reopened
Calamari was tender not too much breading and nicely spiced. Clams, sweet spicy chicken wings, all great. Drinks too.
Great Service , we had. big table of 9 with 5 kids. Our server was great with our kids. Place has a mythical atmosphere and they had a live singer which made the ambiance enjoyable. Onion soup was excellent , black and blue ahi was very good I also enjoyed my shrimp and crab. It's a bit pricy but you know what to expect when you reserve.
A must go when you pass by Honolulu.
Food was great, service was a bit slow as they worked out getting back up and running. But that was fine we were not in a hurry. Very accommodating as we needed to add one to our reservation. Always a great atmosphere and glad things are finally opening back up.
I will start with a showing up early for a reservation and not being even acknowledged for almost 20 min, where I had to literally stand in front of hostesses stand. After finally being greeted for our reservation that was now 15 minutes past time, we were placed in a holding area in the highest traffic aisle area where the servers bring food and drinks. After waiting for another 15 minutes we are following sat in a booth in the darkest corner of the restaurant. There was no overhead lighting at all. We had to use our phones to read the menu. Once seated it took another 15 minutes to even get our drinks, and then another 15 minutes to be able to place our order. Once we placed our order about 30 to 45 minutes before our server came out and let us know that one of the items that we ordered was no longer available. I hate write A place off after one visit, but we were recommended to us by two different people and I can tell you but surely disappointed our expectations. I understand that sometimes places have bad nights but our experience from the beginning to the end was poor.
All was great, but wines are way overpriced. I know I’m in Hawaii, but wow, wines at ABC were even 1/3 price of wine we got for dinner. Double is fine but 3xs??? Too much. Still loved our dinner though.
My appetizer was great and hot along with my soup but my dinner was cold and my steak was not done medium. Was more like well done. Service was good and we received our food in a timely manner. When you pay $56.00 for a steak it should not be served cold!!! I know they just opened up again and may need to get the bugs out. We have eaten there every time we are here and this is the first time I was not impressed. Will probably give another try.
Service was a bit slow at first, but they did great overall. Food was top notch!!
Epic failure & a bad choice for Easter Dinner. 100% full capacity. NO social distance between tables and one table set with 12 seats.
We ordered cocktails and our request to split 2 checks was met with "I do your drinks, check with your server". 30 minutes to order appetizers they were served tasty and hot, 30 minutes after appetizers. It took another 30 minutes for our server to take our meal order. Meals arrived after another 45 minutes. Both fish dishes were cold but had a nice tasty sauce. The mixed vegetables were inconsistent on the exact same entrées. One in our party ordered filet mignon, medium, received well done Strip steak. Sent it back then another 30 minutes to get the correct steak. By that time everyone else in the party was done their dinner and we were near our 3rd hour in the restaurant.
The Busser continued to lift our plates, then ask if we were done with the meal. One in our party had just taken a bite of food and the Busser grabbed her plate, asked if she was done, took her plate. She still had the fork in her mouth!!
We asked for our split checks and to pack up the uneaten filet. Both checks had multiple errors. Drinks were all mixed between the 2 checks, while the filet mignon was removed from the check, duplicate entrées were added. Sent the checks back for correction, checks came back with additional errors.
Now going on 3.5 hours, we decided to just pay both checks and work out the difference among ourselves. Manager offering comp desserts was a nice gesture but over 3 hours, it was time to go home as we all had early work days.
There were other tables with children sleeping in their seats because their keiki burgers took too long. I could hear staff having to remove items from other checks and lots of apologies heard to many other guests.
Not a good idea to pack your newly re-opened restaurant to 100%. Work out the kitchen process' and maybe more server training. I felt sorry and embarrassed for your servers.
It was clouded more than I thought.
Server was good but busboy were no slime bad attitude.
Chicken Caesar salad’s chicken was dry and heard.
Clam chowder was so salty.
Live band was good but some people were singing as Karaoke. I only want to listen pro singer.
Its still new, so I hope everything get better soon!
First time there since July of last year. Nice open concept in the restaurant. Great atmosphere and ambiance is still old school. The food and drinks are awesome. Love the escargot and oyster rockefellers. Cant wait for my next visit. Also the music is still awesome.
Glad to see Chart House back open. It is one of our go-to places in Waikiki.
We had a 5:00 dinner reservations for a party of 3. We were seated at 5:15 & we left without dessert at 7:25. We only had 1 appetizer & & 3 entrees. The service was very very slow. The food took a very long time. The servers were overwhelmed with the amount of tables they had. It seems that they are also short staffed. There was no social distancing at all, especially in the bar. Servers don't use gloves when serving food.
We like the Chart house & hope to return when things get better.
Great mid day Sunday meal. Wonderful to have them open again.
A group of us were in town for work and decided to all go out and have a nice dinner. There are 10 of us so finding a place isn't the easiest during COVID, however I was able to get us in at the Chart House. Heard that it had just opened back up and was excited to try it and have an enjoyable evening with my co-workers.
Upon arrival, the place was packed. I could already tell that they were slightly overwhelmed. Our reservation was at 8:15 and we started to venture in around 8. The table that we were supposed to sit at was still occupied and the hostess said they had already paid their bill and were told they needed to be out by 8. It's now 8:20 and the table is no where near looking like they were leaving. My guess is since they were in front of the band they were still enjoying their evening. Around 8:45 we were seated at a different table. Which, I was a little irritated because it took half hour to get seated with a reservation, however gave the benefit of the doubt that they were extremely busy.
This is where my from my point everything went downhill.
A waiter to come take our order did not arrive at our table until nearly 10 PM. The cocktail waitress and busboy were attentive and replenished cocktails and water, however when you have a dinner reservation at 8:15 and still have no attention from a waiter until 10pm that is a unacceptable.
We asked if we could order food and were told he is on his way for over and hour.
Once we started to order our food it was after 10. After ordering the food, our waiter comes back out to inform that some of the items we chose were actually not available because they ran out, the as we receive the food, it arrived cold. An establishment that charged nearly $60 for an entree should not arrive to the table cold. At this point it's nearly 11PM and we don't even have the energy to send the food back.
As we were eating our dinner, there was an argument that broke out in the kitchen that included 5 min of foul language back and
Great sized portions and amazing cocktails.
No social distancing between tables, bar was packed shoulder-to-shoulder, not enough waiters, wait between courses was 15-20 minutes Food was delicious as always. Disappointing that amid Covid pandemic, care was not taken for diners & employees. One employee took off his mask when he was setting up tables
Joey and Yanna are always welcoming
Enjoyed the best food, seared ahi was prefect, and had the best stuffed ahi dish I ever had, it even came with a good size salad, veggies on the side that included asparagus, and it came with rice or their delicious mashed potatoes. The rice even come with plenty of furakake on it too. Service was excellent from absolutely everyone you come into contact there. Excellent value, my wife had the jumbo shrimp and they were huge and tasted like lobster! We just had such a wonderful time time there, good drinks, live music, and the best view of the harbor in town. Seating is so comfortable and the ambiance it quintessential Waikiki. Love this place very much.
