Chart House - Waikiki
Live Hawaiian contemporary entertainment and early and late happy hours heat up the night in the cocktail lounge. Serving the island’s largest pupu menu. For the highlight of the island dining or taste of local night life, the Chart House Waikiki is the place to be for good food, good friends and good times.
Fish was very good: salmon, sea bass and blackened Mahi-mahi.
We were 3 people, who requested a seat in front of At the very least to be able to see the waterfront. We were seated on a 6 person large booth back in a very dark area! If you look up, you will see the place is falling apart!!
the food was fabulous but the service was a bit slow
This place if filthy. It actually smells. Ceiling tiles are coming down. Chicken was inedible. What a disappointment! I recall this being nice years ago. Never going back.
Not much has changed at the Chart House Waikiki since the last time I was there approximately 25 years ago...I won’t wait another 25 years to go back again!
Charthouse has been a family favorite to celebrate special occasions for many years. This time did not disappoint, live music, good food and friendly staff. We will be back many more times.
Steaks are great, the salmon and ahi “mignon” are tasty favorites and we always start with the escargot.
Staff was nice. Location is good. Four course set menu pricing good ($61) but menu options very dated (eg,
1970s style where selections are heavily breaded and dry). Wanted to like this place but just not up to snuff compared to the competition, unfortunately.
Our favorite place in Waikiki. Excellent food reasonable specials and great service and harbor view of sunset.
Chart House has great food and service. Definitely need reservations, walk-in may be a long wait. Prices are in the normal steak/seafood restaurant range.
We arrived late but still accommodate us. Great food. Reasonable price. We ordered the $61 combo meal. Perfect dinner was more than enough for one person. Friendly service. The only negative part was the front service lady said “you guys are late that’s why m not sure I have to ck” n waited for 15 min. Though turned out to be ok cause she gave us the view I requested. Overall the waitress very attentive to our needs. Thank you for awesome service.
Always a great experience! Food delicious and good selection. Love the monthly specials. Atmosphere has a very kamaaina feel. Live music nightly. We also come in for Happy Hour in the lounge. Charthouse is definitely a favorite.
The Chart House is in need of refurbishment. The service was adequate. The food was satisfactory. But given the competition in Honolulu it is substantially less than expected. I would not recommend it to anyone.
Great pre sunset Valentines dinner. Everything was perfectly timed and cooked. Ribeye steak and Maine lobster. We beat the rush because they opened early on Valentines Day. Thank you, Charthouse staff and management.
Great place for families and celebrations. Lots of circuses photos, flowers singing waiters. Great drinks
We had a fantastically-great meal there 10 years ago. This time was a 360 from time. Meal came out cold we returned it and it was still not hot. No one ever returned to the table to check on us.
Joey's garlic was not "Filet" it was a different cut of beef served in chunk form. It was chewie hard to chew and the steak was also dry not in the butter sauce listed. Super disappointed. We will not be back
The restaurant was packed with happy customers full of happy faces. Our cocktail waitress was smiling and efficient, the waiter Tony was superb and very helpful.
Dinner was priced right and the food arrived hot and delicious. We will return again for sure. We recommend this restaurant for local and visitors alike.
Great and abundant amount of food. Great service at an iconic location
Great all around service, food and atmosphere.
The restaurant has a nice view of the sunset. The appetizers and main course were very good. For dessert we ordered the crème brulee but it wasn't as good. Seems it was rushed and the crème was gritty and not smooth. Others on our table said the same thing. A few ordered the pineapple sorbet and love it. Overall the evening was very good.
Some of the most delicious food I’ve ever tasted went their twice on our 10 day stay in Honolulu
We try to eat at Chart House when every we visit Honolulu
Did not have the best service especially forthe price and my food was not cooked the way I ordered it and when they redid it it was rubber
Been there before and the food was great. This time I had a steak that was so tough I literally couldn't cut it. The waiter told me afterwards "I usually tell people that is a tough cut". Well he didn't give me a heads up. Pathetic.
I had seabass and like my fish cooked on the more done side. It was perfect and yummy. Service was great and timely. Beautiful bay view.
My husbands birthday
Great harbor view from tables along the rail. No view from back tables.
The place is old and tired—maybe a step or two ahead of the health department
An excellent restaurant. High priced, but we were on our honeymoon. The view was amazing. And the food was great. We really enjoyed our visit there.
This place is downright dingy. Cork ceilings are falling apart. Vents look like they haven’t been cleaned in years. There’s a fan right in front of the aquarium that’s absolutely disgusting. I get that everything in Hawaii is supposed to be more relaxed but come on give me a break. Shut down for a day or two to do some maintenance. The food was decent but way overpriced for the quality you’re getting in my opinion.
The abalone was terrible!
Great service, this is our 3rd time there and this time it was like the chef got off work already??? Everything was either under done or over done flavors just weren’t there like out 1st 2 times. The best part of the meal was the side Cesar salad. Also request made per open table reservation were not done.
Made a reservation almost 2 months in advance, but was still seated in the back, hidden corner with zero view. Picture provided.
