Used Open Table to book a reservation here...
Pleasantly surprised to find they had a special reduced price prix fixe dinner menu - valid any evening from Sunday to Thursday from 5:30 PM on ( not just early bird time). Price was $19 for appetizer choice, entree choice AND dessert choice! $19th Hole Menu
The service was outstanding- Pam our waitress was very attentive, personable, efficient & funny too!
My entree was shrimp & grits- DELISH!! My husband had the Cobia whitefish that was also excellent/ as was the She Crab soup
Food was good but service was VERY slow. Initial drinks took 15-20 minutes to get, soup appetizers came to the table at different times, and having been seated at 6:45 our dinner entre did not make it to the table till 8pm. We won't be back. Poor value for high prices when service out of the kitchen that slow!
I brought my husband to CH for his 75th birthday.. We were in Hilton Head @ Harbor Town for the week. We live in Tennessee but try to eat at CH every opportunity. The meal was delicious. The only complaint was the coffee was not hot and was VERY strong and bitter. I returned it as undrinkable.. Thank you for the special touch with the birthday wishes on the menu..
First time that my husband and I went to the Chart House. From our appetizer to dessert, the food was exceptionally wonderful. The best seafood that we have ever had, and we grew up by the Jersey Shore. The stuffed flounder was stuffed with real crab meat and no fillers. The service was excellent and the ambience was great. We would totally recommend this restaurant and we cannot wait until we can go back.
Chart House is great for both special occasions and every day dining. They have an excellent happy hour as well as early bird and a well balanced dinner menu. We have been there many times and have found it to have consistently good food, service, and ambiance.
We visited this restaurant for the first time on a trip to Hilton head Island. The food was average, theCaesar salad was very salty, and loaded with dressing. Our waiter seemed rushed, and did not ever bring us a breadbasket. When we finished our meal, we asked for the hot lava cake for dessert. We were informed, at his point, that it would take 30 minutes to prepare. This would have been ok had we been told this earlier in our meal.
This restaurant continues to go down hill. Both the kitchen and the service are far below what the cost to eat here infers. The sunset provided by the location continues to be fantastic but not enough to overcome the deficiencies in the preparation and service segments of the business.
This was a special occasion dinner, that was totally botched and almost ruined thanks to poor communications amongst the staff, and management. While the food was very good (thank you Patrick!), the service was slow and unbalanced. When trying to explain why, our wait staff stated he was dealing with 'over served' patrons in the bar area...why is that my fault, and shouldn't YOUR management know when to cut-off people at the bar and take steps when necessary. Would not recommend for anything other than happy hour for good values and enjoying the food.
Went for lunch. They had a banquet of about 30 people. Only a few other tables with diners. It took 1-1/2 hours to get a simple lunch! To me that says poor management. Our waitress kept apologizing. Manager also apologized & our lunch was free. Was not planning on a long lunch!
I had a great salmon dinner with an excellent Pinot Grigio (Estancia) wine and a thick and tasty bowl of clam chowder. Service by Ryan was excellent and very attentive. I try to eat here at least once whenever I am required to visit Marine Corps Air Station in Beaufort, SC. It's about a 40 mile drive but well worth the trip. I eat at Charthouse Restaurants all over the USA.
My wife had the prime rib, and they accommodated her request for an end cut. She deemed the meat quality excellent, but her mashed potatoes were lukewarm.
I had the flounder stuffed with crabmeat. The fish was very good, but the crabmeat had so much filler that it was inedible. My mashed potatoes were also lukewarm.
We split a coconut shrimp appetizer, five jumbo shrimp, butterflied. Very good quality.
Our server was attentive, but not overbearing.
Excellent meal, seafood was outstanding both my husband and I really enjoyed our choices, shrimp and grits for me (was supposed to be small plate but was bountiful ,took home and enjoyed next day for lunch) and for my hubby grouper with one of their special sauces. Shared their seafood stack for appetizer very tasty too, also really enjoyed our cocktails. overall great evening out.
Everything was fine. Food was good...atmosphere was nice. Waiter was assigned outdoor tables as well as indoor tables. We felt he was pulled. We liked the fact that the server suggested the Lava cake when he first took our dinner order, so it was rsady when we were ready for it.
I AM WHEELCHAIR BOUND SO I WENT ON-LINE TO MAKE A SPECIAL RESERVATION REQUEST FOR SIX PEOPLE. TABLE WAS READY WHEN WE ARRIVED A LITTLE EARLY, SO WE HAD A GLASS OF WINE WHILE WE WAITED FOR OUR COMPANY. OUR WAITRESS WAS DEBBIE AND WHAT A GEM SHE WAS. YOU COULD TELL THAT SHE REALLY ENJOYS HER JOB. WE ALWAYS ENJOY EATING AT THE CHART HOUSE, ESPECIALLY THE EARLY BIRD DINING. FOOD IS THE BEST AND A NICE PORTION. THE CHART HOUSE HAS BECOME OUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT.
We originally planned to eat at Skull Creek Boathouse next door; however, the quoted wait time for a table was too long. So we were able to get an immediate reservation and table at Chart House instead. The server was very attentive and polite. When they accidentally brought mashed potatoes instead of a baked potato for my wife, the manager immediately volunteered and went back and got a baked potato for her while the server continued to serve the rest of our meal. The server was also very good with my 10 year old daughter. Food was consistently good but not excellent. Nice dining room and very quiet. Almost too quiet.... It was a good fallback and we were treated well. When back in the area, we would be more likely to try Hudson's next time. Nothing wrong with Chart House, just not a wow experience. Prices were commensurate with the food quality. Bottom line, a reasonable fallback but I would prefer a more lively environment while dining on vacation.
Celebrated a special day at Chart House, HHISC and it was a wonderful dinner. The service of Constance and Cody was splendid and the food was delicious. The early dinner menu was very reasonable and included choice of soup or salad, 4 dinner entrees and dessert for around 19-23 dollars. Look forward to going back.
