Food was tasty. Server was not very personable and generally made us feel uncomfortable and rushed. Unfortunate because some of the food was delicious (that pink sauced pasta was insanely good) and the place had a fun vibe. Host, runners and bussers were all friendly, just our server seemed unhappy to answer any questions or explain menu items.

We arrived very early for our reservation and the maitre d' was gracious to work us in as soon as they could. Our wait was about a half hour but we were seated before the reservation scheduled time. Service at the bar was very good once we hailed down our bartender. After that she was very good at checking in to make sure if we needed fresh drinks. I love the vibe of the restaurant. Our waiter, Bob, was very attentive and was great in helping me pick my choice for entree. Our food was outstanding and delivered warm to the table. My only real complaint was it was VERY COLD in the dining room, a distinct change in temperature from the bar area and the dining room.

In the past, Charlie Gitto's was reliably exceptional. I was disappointed this time. We were seated before three other tables, ordered an appetizer, and waited. The other tables were eating their salads well before our appetizer arrived. Honestly, I think our waiter forgot. I'll write it off to a one timer. I'm not real excited about going back.

We were seated right away and the staff was very friendly and informative. The food was delicious. It was our 5th wedding anniversary and they treated us well, even giving us a complimentary piece of cake. All around a great dining experience.

We had 4 people order the filets at our table. They were all way overcooked! No pink at all. I know it’s not a steak house, but don’t brag about the aged steaks and charge $50 a la cart and not know how to prepare. Disappointing graduation dinner for my daughter.

I had requested a quieter table if possible when I made the reservation. We were seated at one just behind the host podium that was perfect. Our server, Andrew, met us at the table almost immediately and brough warm bread and water within 5 minutes. His service was impeccable and the food, as always, was delicious. The restaurant was busy since it's graduation week but we never felt we were being rushed. My out of town guests were most delighted with everything. Thank you for helping me give them a positive impression of St. Louis!

Our graduation celebration was topped off with the best dining experience from the front of the house to the end. Our waiting team were attentive. Our waiter Tim was top notch. The food, with every bite was exquisite. We found parking on a Friday with no problem. Again, a wonderful experience.

My favorite dish is the shrimp scampi. It wasn’t on the menu and I just happened to ask our waiter. He went to check with the chef and made it happen!!! It was delicious! The service is ALWAYS amazing!

Was our for Our server conducted himself like he was working a local bar and not a restaurant that would be considered “fine dining”. Gave more attention to the tables that were parties of 4 or more than our party of two and forgot to put in our appetizer. The drinks we received were watered down, the veil was unfortunately over cooked and the lemon butter cream tasted like it had gone bad. The manager was nice enough to remove the veil from our ticket and offer another meal but at that point we had lost our appetite. Overall awful experience despite the high praise in their reviews and recommendations from others. May have just been the day we went but we will not be risking another potential bad/expensive experience and therefore will not return.

Brought an out of town guest for their first time. They had gone to other Hill restaurants. Charlie’s Gitto’s was a huge hit!!!!! The service was outstanding. The food was absolutely fantastic. Great atmosphere too. Highly recommend.

It was a great experience. Was my wife’s birthday and they seated us as I had requested. The food was outstanding and service was top notch. It is not low budget, but worth the price. I recommend them highly. We will be back.

Our family went to dinner at Charlie Gitto's to celebrate a family member's birthday. My niece tried all of the dishes -- we each ordered something different. She said each one was good but that the sea scallops over risotto -- a special that evening with asparagus -- was the best! We all enjoyed the meal and the excellent service. Thank you Ryan.
