Food and service were fantastic! It was a very loud place for such intimate dining.
Lots of ambient noise made it hard to hear the person next to you.
Server was awesome!
Excellent as always. We ask for Theresa, so we know the service will be wonderful.
Both food and service was excellent. They had a full house but the quality was compromised.
Excellent as always - one of the family's favorite restaurants!
As posted on Charlie Gitto's Facebook page:
Wife and I went for her Birthday, March 15th. First time to this restaurant, want to try some place new. Very disappointing. We had toasted ravioli for an appetizer, they were very small, over cooked and not much inside, mostly shell. Cheese garlic bread was soaked in butter or oil, don't know, but had a greasy hand every time I picked it up, soggy and not very good. Wife had Cannelloni, said it was OK, but next day she was not feeling well, sick to her stomach with all that goes along with that.
I had the Baked Spaghetti with Meatballs, it too was OK, a bit dry. I had asked for extra sauce but don't believe it was added. We did receive a nice cake for her Birthday, it was good. Waiter and staff were attentive.
For us now, been there, done that, won't be back.
Don't know if we just had a bad meal or just not our type of Italian food.
A most enjoyable evening, with family. Occasion was the celebration of a daughters and a grandsons birthday. Both of which were acknowledged by the restaurant. Our server, Ashley, did a great job. A very personable and capable young lady. We will be going back and we will not hesitate to recommend the restaurant to friends.
It was great for our anniversary dinner! Service was a little slow but food was great!
Always a solid choice for lunch with business guests. Food is very good and service you can count on. You will not be waiting an hour for your food - always prompt.
Our food was delicious. Service was great. Our table was right by the front door which was a little chilly. I would have preferred a cozier spot with a reservation. But we enjoyed our visit.
The salads for the entire table were very overdressed and my pasta over sauced. When I told the waiter of this, he apologized but did nothing about it.
I didn't like being at the table right at the front. It was quite warm and fairly noisy also. The food and service was great.
Excellent food. A little high priced, but worth it! Would highly recommend!
Wonderful!! Great food great service will definitely recommend!!
Been there twice now,
I'm not afraid to pay for a really good meal, but the food just was not that great for the price.
Salad was not good and lacked taste.
Food somewhat bland in general.
Service was ok but overall was not that impressed with the food.
Hope that helps.
Overall everything was great! The waitress, while nice, was at our table maybe 3 times. She was running a 4 table section so I guess that's understandable. Maybe add an additional server or 2 on Saturdays.
Wow! All I can say is amazing food, amazing service, amazing experience! Authentic Italian cuisine in Chesterfield.
Great menu, great food preparation, great authentic Italian dishes, very attentive and friendly service, in all an exceptionally good dinning experience!
Disappointed that the waitress asked if I wanted another glass of wine, suggested one & I accepted. $15 a glass, really? Didn’t know until I got bill. There were plenty of other options far less. Food was outstanding.
My wife and I had a wonderful dining experience at the Chesterfield location. Great location just off Highway 40/64 on Olive Boulevard. Plenty of parking. We had reservations and actually were seated a little early in a very nice half-moon shaped booth. Our server (Stephen) was excellent; very friendly, helpful and professional. Since we are Rewards members, we had a free appetizer on our account and we chose the Arancini. Very Nice. My wife had the 8 oz. Filet and Shrimp special and I had the Veal Nunzio. Both were excellent! I also ordered a Caesar Salad and it was huge! Plenty for 2 people. Good selection of craft beers and wine. On our way out, we could not resist getting 2 scoops of Gelato to go. Great selection here too. We highly recommend Charlie Gitto's from the Hill.
Our waiter (I think Richard) was excellent! We will ask for him again and again! Very attentive but never bothersome! He made our meal so pleasurable.
Really enjoyed the food...excellent variety and taste. Service was a little slow....the place was packed
Excellent meal. Very good service
Fabulous food. Great service. We were seated not long after our reservation time.
We love going to Gitto's for our annual Valentine's dinner. It is one of the few places that does not over-pack for the holiday. We never feel rushed in spite of it being a very busy dine-out night.
They also are good at accommodating any special requests you might have. On this occasion we had to wait about 15 minutes even though we had a reservation. But, then we found out it was because we had requested a quite table out of the main traffic and they were waiting for that perfect table to free up.
Great service - the staff is amazing! They work together to back each other up and to make sure you are never waiting on your waiter.
At other times of the year, we have stopped in at the bar for a quick bite and glass of wine. The service there is no less than that in the dining area.
I took my grandchildren for Valentine and the service was awesome
We dinned on Valentine’s Day evening. Although the restaurant was very busy, our waiter Mark was OUTSTANDING! We will definately be returning again and requesting to have Mark as our waiter-the food was delicious as well.
We were there for Valentine day, also spouses birthday food was great great place.
Food was excellent and waitress was very good. Was puzzled by value of gift cards. We’re told value of cards were $100 a piece over the phone but waitress said they were worth only $50 a piece. Cards were black
We always enjoy an evening at Charlie Gitto's From the Hill. We had the grouper special, toasted ravioli (best ever), calamari, and then a slice of delicious birthday cake. You can count on a good experience there.
Food was good but overpriced. I thought it was pretty amazing that the restaurant was deserted and they seated me adjacent to a giant group party where people were standing around, drinking, and conversing. Literally any other table in the place would have been less disruptive to both me and to the group.
Our waitress was great. She provided friendly and attentive service. The food was great. They helped celebrate our wives birthdays perfectly.
Server was efficient but quite pretentious.
Entrees are too expensive to not come with a side that isn’t just a decoration.
Tables are too close together, it is hard to leave your table without bumping into people seated next to you
The room we were seated was very cold with many guests wearing coats. Yes, there covered windows, but certainly could have adjusted the temp considering I paid $50/per!
Restaurant too cold!! Uncomfortable to dine there Summer only??
The food was fabulous- we had veal and grouper. Service was great b
The food is always good, and our server, Teresa was excellent. My only complaint is the noise level. Wish the restaurant could be reconfigured so the dining rooms were more separate rather than one large area.
The food and service were exceptional. Very cozy and a great wine list too!
the food was outstanding. the staff very attentive
