Horrible experience! Our waitress brought the wrong entree then looked at us if it was our mistake. She never apologized. Then she disappeared only to return that she had to do a room service order. I would think service would be the #1 in a tourist town like Stowe!!! Word of warning skip this location😡!

little jewel found on a Sunday night while poking around Stowe. good food, nice fireplace and excellent acoustic live music with a glass of J Lohr. Excellent.

Loved the atmosphere! Large inviting fireplace. Staff was very pleasant and fun, food was excellent! We had the prime rib, cooked perfectly, fresh made bread with mashed potatoes and green beans. Definitely will add to my list of favorites!

We had a small issue with having a drink spilled on us by our waiter, but accidents happen. The management gave us 20% off our bill, but I thought it was still quite expensive. Main dish (pasta with shrimp and very small scallops), was not plentiful, and did not come with a side-salad. My husband had chicken which he liked, which came with potato and carrots. I had water. He had a Diet Coke. Our part of the bill was about $60 without tip. Better deals to be found elsewhere.

As noted on Trip advisor, the service was very slow. Food was acceptable, but given how long it took to get water, drinks, having to ask to order, ask for a check in, ask for a check... For an 8:00 reservation, to leave at about 10:40 was unacceptable. I would not recommend. Convenient if you're at the resort, otherwise Stowe has plenty to offer.

I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The french onion soup was amazing and the veggir burger was fresh and tasty. The lobster roll and salmon was well prepared as well. Service was well-timed and friendly with a good selection of wines and beer.

We showed up on time but it took over an hour ( almost 1.5 hrs) for our food to come out. Food was kind of bad not great. My husbands fish looked like chicken. Kids food was cooked but didn't look great. Will not return

food was very good Service bad. Too bad the hostess couldn't pitch in to help with the wait-staff. She stood around watching the door. Couldn't have been any less interested.

Not thrilled with being seated in the middle of the " circle", esp next to a large rowdy party with tons of kids and inattentive parents. The food came out in 10 mins, which makes me question the freshness of the items. The salmon was smothered in mustard, not " crusted with horseradish ", rice lukewarm (reheated?), beans barely cooked (I like al dente but these were cool to the touch). The cosmo did not warrant a $12.50 price tag!
However, Glenn, our waiter was hustling like crazy ( he also had the wild table of families) as was the busboy ( son of owner). Unfortunately, we will not be back.

Had a reservation to celebrate a milestone birthday for my husband. Seated promptly but at a table in the bar when there were numerous empty booths and intimate tables available around the restaurant. Waiter was abrupt and rude. Took drinks and appetizer order. Returned without my husbands drink. He "forgot" it. He took dinner order and returned less than five minutes later with our meals which he just tossed on the table. We hadn't even had a chance to finish the appetizer that we were splitting. That was the last we saw of him and any service! Waiter ditched to take a shift at an adjoining tavern and failed to pass off our table. I would have enjoyed a second drink. Refilling water glasses would have been appropriate. Checking on the meal would have been appropriate. Waited over 1/2hr after we finished our meal and finally went to talk to hostess to inquire if we could get some service and perhaps a dessert menu in a timely manner as we had theater tickets at Spruce Peak. We also advised that we (couple of seniors in our 60's) dine out all the time and have never been treated this way. We also had no intention of adding any gratuity to our check as it was not deserved. Hostess spoke with manager and we were extended an apology and our meal was provided at no charge. Very disappointing experience for what was meant to be a special evening out in Stowe.

Ambiance was good, cute small restaurant. Service was quick, food was average. Server had horrible body odor that was injected into the atmosphere each time he brought a new serving or cleared the table.

They advertised it was prime rib night but did not state a time that it began. Arrived at 4:30 and was told that we couldn't order dinner or prime rib because dinner didn't start until 5:30 and it wasn't ready yet. Another table arrived at the same time also wanting to order prime rib and was told the same thing. You had to order from the lunch menu which was appetisers, snacks, burgers and sandwiches. Ridiculous. Not going back.

I had the ribs due to a recommendation online and it did not fail, the ribs were delicious along with the fries and coleslaw. My husband had the Salmon and he said it was very good also

Very hospitable and handled us well after false fire alarm in main hotel prevented us being served on time. Good quality Angus burgers and special price for some reason as we paid bill. Excellent host. Only slight negative was strange smell of benches we sat on and fact we were kind of hurried out at normal closing even though the meal was delayed.

Good evening out with friends after hiking. Service was spot-on, unhurried. Fish and chips a hit for those who ordered. I enjoyed my pork schnitzel.

We four stopped in for a late dinner. We were all pleased with the food and service. As a vegetarian, I chose the wild mushroom ravioli. It was a good dish but I felt the sauce was a bit heavy. We chose two bottles of Domaine Auchere 2014 Sancerre which went well with our entrees as well as with the fantastic chocolate Fondu!

The food was great, the atmosphere was very enjoyable. Server, Amanda and host, Parker were friendly and helpful. We did have to wait awhile for our dinners to be served, but we were there at a busy time, and the people we were with made it a pleasant wait.

Went to Charlie B's during a girls trip to Stowe. Our service was very good and we were seated right away. The place wasn't all that busy, as we were there on a Wednesday night. Decor is a little dated, but still clean and nice. They have a decent wine list and we ordered a good red. My friend had Wiener Schnitzel, which was excellent. My swordfish special was really good, as well. Our tuna tartar appetizer was OK, but nothing special. All in all, a good place that looked like it would be good for big groups and also for kids. I'd call it reliable and great for variety.

Seated in winfields not the pub. Really wanted to be seated there. Staff sEemed a little overwhelmed with number people- burger was barely cooked, thin and appeared like pre made. Turkey burgers dry and not very tasty.

Super fun, classic Old Stowe, surprisingly good food, way beyond typical ski fare like burgers and chili - although they do that well too.
