Charley's Steak House I-DRIVE Ratings and Reviews
My second visit....pretty hard to find a better steak. The only negative was the "Upsell" for the extras. All delicious but if you order the bottled water, baked potato, truffle butter, and a wedge salad....make sure your credit card has some space left as it can add up quick. Top shelf restaurant and "if" dessert is on the menu.....just order the Crème Brulee.
Charleys has historically been a great steakhouse. We went for my husband's 61st birthday and were very disappointed. The valet left my vehicle unattended, unlocked and running for 10 minutes or more. I opened the door, got in a drove it to a parking space where I secured it. No one was there when I did that and no one was there when I walked back into the restaurant. We ordered ribeyes and one was O.K. but the other was super tough and full of gristle. My husband advised the waiter and he was apologetic but did not replace the steak. Instead he threw a brownie into the "doggie" bag.
Charleys has definitely fallen off in quality. For a good steak dinner in that area, go to Ruths Chris or Capital grill. Disappointed.
i put in open tables - tampa, charlies - HOW DID IT GET I-4 orlando? fortunately tampa had a table.
SERVICE WAS GREAT
steak was asked to be rare and median rare - got medium well was manager became involved and WE DID NOT EVEN ASK.
LOVE CHARLIES - ALWAYS RECOMMEND
Had this been the first time my husband and I had Charley’s we would have never went back. The steak was extremely over cooked, thin, and full of gross parts (gristle and fat). $45 steaks should be fully inspected before brought to a diners table. In my opinion. Staff were friendly but they didn’t ask immediately if everything was ok, so we didn’t end up getting another steak as our plans forced us to have to leave. I’ll stick to Shulas in the future.
If food, which is fantastic, doesn't sell this place enough let the service of the wonderful people do it for them. Excellent setting with a nice outdoor sitting, very well lit. Great for dates or romantic dinners. Has plenty of room for larger groups as well with the option to expand certain sections for even bigger parties. I cannot stress enough the service and the quality of the food serviced here. It is absolutely fantastic.
Great service from the moment we arrived, good atmosphere too. Good choice on the menu and we can not fault the food. Warning though portions are large. We had a steak and the salad was enough to have with it as 1 side of fries was too much, after an appetiser. Server was extremely attentive at all times, despite running several tables.
Would definitely go back.
First of all, Faouzi was an amazing server. He gave great recommendations and was very knowledgeable about the menu and cuts of meat.
Our meal was delicious. Started with a lobster bisque, which was one of the best I’ve had. Each entree comes with a garden salad that was delicious. We got 2 filets, 1 porterhouse, and 1 ribeye; it was all cooked to perfection! We also got 3 side to share for the table (baked potato, sautéed onions, and bacon& cheddar mashed), plenty to share between 4 people. We ended our meal with Faouzi’s recommendation of warm apple pie and cream brûlée.
We had a great time and will definitely be back again when we come back to the area.
We made an reservation a few weeks prior to coming to Orlando for a long weekend getaway, as we have been to Charley's before and the experience was very good 2 years ago. However, that totally changed last Friday night. We were early and decided to sit the bar, I ordered a glass of wine, only to discover a chip in the glass as it caught the side of my lip. I told the bartender about it and she dumped it out and gave me a new glass..(never said sorry), kind gave me an attitude look. We ordered grilled Tenderloin (med rare both) the meat came back over cooked and slightly warm as were the sides, and the meat was not very tasty at all., no juice and tough.. not just one, but both of them. The server didn't come by as typically do to check on how things were going or tasted, until we were almost done...it was then we told her how dissatisfied we were with the food. She called the manager over to discuss things with us. She said we were the only ones who not satisfied with our cut of meat (Tenderloin) that evening, well maybe we were the only ones who actually didn't like it, she offered us a free desert, but we declined. She was professional and did take one of the meals from our bill. Like I said, we have been to Charley's in Tampa as well as this location and both were very good...
It would hard pressed for us to go back to Charley's again....
Took my wife to Charleys for veterans day meal. She and I are veterans who served in the U.S Navy. We came in on Friday Nov 10 at 7:00pm sat down and asked for the veterans day meal. To our surprise, the waiter told us the filet mignon meal for veterans required the purchase of another entree. I ended up with the steak and she had to settle for a pork chop. This was very disappointing as I thought we as veterans would both get the filet mignon steak. This experience was a total let down for us. Please let management know our disappointment on this visit.
I was really skeptical- this being a tourist area and all. I hadn’t been to Charley’s since the original on OBT closed and it was spectacular. Dinner did not disappoint- thanks to an amazing server (Rachel) and a great ribeye, Caesar salad and drinks. A great revisit - can’t wait to drop back in.
