Charley's Steak House I-DRIVE Ratings and Reviews
First of all, Faouzi was an amazing server. He gave great recommendations and was very knowledgeable about the menu and cuts of meat.
Our meal was delicious. Started with a lobster bisque, which was one of the best I’ve had. Each entree comes with a garden salad that was delicious. We got 2 filets, 1 porterhouse, and 1 ribeye; it was all cooked to perfection! We also got 3 side to share for the table (baked potato, sautéed onions, and bacon& cheddar mashed), plenty to share between 4 people. We ended our meal with Faouzi’s recommendation of warm apple pie and cream brûlée.
We had a great time and will definitely be back again when we come back to the area.
We made an reservation a few weeks prior to coming to Orlando for a long weekend getaway, as we have been to Charley's before and the experience was very good 2 years ago. However, that totally changed last Friday night. We were early and decided to sit the bar, I ordered a glass of wine, only to discover a chip in the glass as it caught the side of my lip. I told the bartender about it and she dumped it out and gave me a new glass..(never said sorry), kind gave me an attitude look. We ordered grilled Tenderloin (med rare both) the meat came back over cooked and slightly warm as were the sides, and the meat was not very tasty at all., no juice and tough.. not just one, but both of them. The server didn't come by as typically do to check on how things were going or tasted, until we were almost done...it was then we told her how dissatisfied we were with the food. She called the manager over to discuss things with us. She said we were the only ones who not satisfied with our cut of meat (Tenderloin) that evening, well maybe we were the only ones who actually didn't like it, she offered us a free desert, but we declined. She was professional and did take one of the meals from our bill. Like I said, we have been to Charley's in Tampa as well as this location and both were very good...
It would hard pressed for us to go back to Charley's again....
Took my wife to Charleys for veterans day meal. She and I are veterans who served in the U.S Navy. We came in on Friday Nov 10 at 7:00pm sat down and asked for the veterans day meal. To our surprise, the waiter told us the filet mignon meal for veterans required the purchase of another entree. I ended up with the steak and she had to settle for a pork chop. This was very disappointing as I thought we as veterans would both get the filet mignon steak. This experience was a total let down for us. Please let management know our disappointment on this visit.
I was really skeptical- this being a tourist area and all. I hadn’t been to Charley’s since the original on OBT closed and it was spectacular. Dinner did not disappoint- thanks to an amazing server (Rachel) and a great ribeye, Caesar salad and drinks. A great revisit - can’t wait to drop back in.
The food was AMAZING. Our server was very friendly. There were some mix ups with our order. Management came out and let us know there was a mix up with our entrees before we could mention it, which was thoughtful, however we had to remind them of our appetizer which hadn’t been accounted for. We received complimentary soup, and certain items comped because of this, however this was an out of town anniversary dinner, my poor boyfriend was heartbroken when things didn’t go as planned. All in all I would love to come back, hopefully things would go more smoothly, and to reiterate, the food was AMAZINGGGG!!!
Charley's was recommended by a friend and business associate. I must have got them on an off night, however it was what it was.
Valet parking great
Service very weak in our case....not checked on after first taste...water ran out quite frequently....we just seemed to be a bother.
Steaks very disappointing....a big surprise in taste and temperature Med R was Med well.
Just a bad, disappointing experience.
I went last Saturday with my wife for dinner. The food and service were good. The disappointing part of this place was the people. There were people with tank tops, shorts, and flip flops! I understand this is Florida and is in the middle of the tourist area of Orlando but some of the "Characters" that were in there having dinner were borderline scary!
I will not be going back there.
I had made reservations for my birthday dinner, while we were vacationing in Orlando. I had been to Charley's many times while I lived in Tampa, so I thought I knew what I could expect for this special occasion. We also frequent the sister properties, like Moonfish, Vito's and Johnny's Hideaway.
While the assistant manager did come by and he wished me a happy birthday, there was no other special treatment at all, as a matter of fact it was almost the opposite. Our table was located next to the service station, therefore extremely active and loud area where we were seated. The drinks took an unusually long time to arrive, for both the first and the second rounds. Our meal was delicious, but took a very long time to arrive and the service was rushed. We were never offered any dessert or special occasion ..... anything. I was extremely disappointed with how we were treated, and the worst yet was that the restaurant was not even busy on a Friday night! 10/20/2017. My daughter and I had gotten up from the table to leave, and my husband, who never complains about anything, ever, complained to the assistant manager. That's when things got even worse. The manager was unapologetic about the service and had an uppity attitude without even offering any apologies about our bad experience. I had expected more from our but I guess that's what you get when you're dining on International Dr. they just want your money. I will stick to the Tampa location, never will I spend another dime at the Orlando location. We had a choice of many steakhouses in that area too! Every restaurant had availability that night! I was so incensed by the whole ordeal, I asked for the managers name. I was told he was out of town. I was going to follow up with an email, but hadn't had the chance yet.
The steaks were out of this world and prepared perfectly. We had the bison ribeye (my favorite steak on the menu), and filet special with a humongous prawn. My wife had the filet tartar as her meal and couldn’t finish it. They said it was 6 oz. I’m positive it was more. The creamed spinach is delightful.
Ron was a great server with a great knowledge of the menu. We appreciated his honesty and professionalism. We will be back!
Very high end steakhouse with excellent food along with high prices. Our service was excellent and I would have rated it 5 stars but for the fact that our entrees came out too soon. That makes us feel very rushed, especially when choosing a dining "experience" vs just having dinner. The food was very good. I would say the food was the high quality expected.
We had our 30th Anniversary here and it made the entire evening very food I had the Buffalo and it was out of this world. Waitress was very friendly and made sure we were satisfied all the way through our meal. I highly recommend this to anyone on any occasion or just a night out.
