About Charley's Steak House I-DRIVE
Charley's Steak House is owned by the Woodsby family and has operated in Florida since 1974. Charley's Steak House I-DRIVE Ratings and Reviews
The food was AMAZING. Our server was very friendly. There were some mix ups with our order. Management came out and let us know there was a mix up with our entrees before we could mention it, which was thoughtful, however we had to remind them of our appetizer which hadn’t been accounted for. We received complimentary soup, and certain items comped because of this, however this was an out of town anniversary dinner, my poor boyfriend was heartbroken when things didn’t go as planned. All in all I would love to come back, hopefully things would go more smoothly, and to reiterate, the food was AMAZINGGGG!!!
Charley's was recommended by a friend and business associate. I must have got them on an off night, however it was what it was.
Valet parking great
Service very weak in our case....not checked on after first taste...water ran out quite frequently....we just seemed to be a bother.
Steaks very disappointing....a big surprise in taste and temperature Med R was Med well.
Just a bad, disappointing experience.
I went last Saturday with my wife for dinner. The food and service were good. The disappointing part of this place was the people. There were people with tank tops, shorts, and flip flops! I understand this is Florida and is in the middle of the tourist area of Orlando but some of the "Characters" that were in there having dinner were borderline scary!
I will not be going back there.
Charley's has the best staff. They come to your table and go over the menu with you and also explain all of their cuts of meat. I took my fiance here for a date night and we are both steak lovers. You will want to keep eating even after you're full. I highly recommend coming here for a special occasion or for a nice work function.
I had made reservations for my birthday dinner, while we were vacationing in Orlando. I had been to Charley's many times while I lived in Tampa, so I thought I knew what I could expect for this special occasion. We also frequent the sister properties, like Moonfish, Vito's and Johnny's Hideaway.
While the assistant manager did come by and he wished me a happy birthday, there was no other special treatment at all, as a matter of fact it was almost the opposite. Our table was located next to the service station, therefore extremely active and loud area where we were seated. The drinks took an unusually long time to arrive, for both the first and the second rounds. Our meal was delicious, but took a very long time to arrive and the service was rushed. We were never offered any dessert or special occasion ..... anything. I was extremely disappointed with how we were treated, and the worst yet was that the restaurant was not even busy on a Friday night! 10/20/2017. My daughter and I had gotten up from the table to leave, and my husband, who never complains about anything, ever, complained to the assistant manager. That's when things got even worse. The manager was unapologetic about the service and had an uppity attitude without even offering any apologies about our bad experience. I had expected more from our but I guess that's what you get when you're dining on International Dr. they just want your money. I will stick to the Tampa location, never will I spend another dime at the Orlando location. We had a choice of many steakhouses in that area too! Every restaurant had availability that night! I was so incensed by the whole ordeal, I asked for the managers name. I was told he was out of town. I was going to follow up with an email, but hadn't had the chance yet.
The steaks were out of this world and prepared perfectly. We had the bison ribeye (my favorite steak on the menu), and filet special with a humongous prawn. My wife had the filet tartar as her meal and couldn’t finish it. They said it was 6 oz. I’m positive it was more. The creamed spinach is delightful.
Ron was a great server with a great knowledge of the menu. We appreciated his honesty and professionalism. We will be back!
Very high end steakhouse with excellent food along with high prices. Our service was excellent and I would have rated it 5 stars but for the fact that our entrees came out too soon. That makes us feel very rushed, especially when choosing a dining "experience" vs just having dinner. The food was very good. I would say the food was the high quality expected.
We had our 30th Anniversary here and it made the entire evening very food I had the Buffalo and it was out of this world. Waitress was very friendly and made sure we were satisfied all the way through our meal. I highly recommend this to anyone on any occasion or just a night out.
We had the best steak dinner we ever had. Service was amazing, attentive to needs and questions and did not rush you. Had wagyu ribeye, fantastic! Although quite a large portion. I am planning on trying the wagyu filet mignon next time. Would recommend you visit once and guarantee you'll go back!
The service was great! But had to send back both of our steaks for being undercooked. It’s a steakhouse that’s the one thing they should definitely not get wrong. The calamari was chewy and cold. On the other hand the lobster bisque, grilled Caesar’s salad and sides were good.
It is expensive but, it is great food for steak. you have to dress nicely. I usually put nice dress up shorts and polo shirt with collar with the best steak sauteed mushrooms, baked potato and Kansas city strip steak. My server Khan and the rest of them were great and did a great service for our Anniversary. I have eaten at the other Charlies on Orange Blossom Trail but, closed down then I went to Vitos and been there 6 times then I went to Johnnies one time but, I went to Charlie's Steakhouse on International Drive and out of them all even though it is own by the same company I think this is the best one. I think I would come here most of my time. Yes there's other places with good steak like Logans or Ruby Tuesday but, if you want the best and yes expensive but to me worth it. When I asked my wife which one even though we spend more money which one she chooses like me Vitos or Charlies.
We visited as a group of 9 with 3 children in the party, we were aware that the price was higher than most on international drive and we were not disappointed with our experience. The place is beautiful very traditional and well kempt. The food was unbelievably beautiful everyone in the party were happy with their choices, although we all shared tasters of each other's as it was that good. The staff were really nice and friendly and very helpful throughout our meal. The bathrooms were very impressive too!! Real old fashioned American style like you see in the movies !! Overall a great experience would definitely recommend for people wanting to enjoy a special occasion. It's true they say you get what you pay for despite it being kind of costly it was worth every penny.
The food, atmosphere, and service were all top notch. The prices were on the high side, so I won't be dining here too often. However, if you've ever been to a top notch steak house, you know you get the best meal possible for your money. I would recommend this place for a special occasion, or if you want to impress someone.
Our server, Danny, was superb. He walked us through the meat and dessert parades, explaining everything you may ever want to know about your choice. He was very engaging and was a big part of our experience.
The T-bone steak was tender and juicy. The cauliflower side was enough for a family of 4.
I HIGHLY recommend dessert. We shared the salted caramel cheesecake. It was the highlight of my meal.
We had been to the Charley's in Tampa and had a great experience. So we felt confident in our choice for a steak house. Not so. The food was good overall , but the service was sub-par. Little things like .. asking if we wanted another drink or more coffee or bread with my soup. The server should have been working at an "Outback" instead of Charleys. Seemed like they were riding on reputation instead of doing their best. We will not return.
