Charley's Steak House I-DRIVE Ratings and Reviews
Every time I come to Orlando I think about going to Charlie steakhouse. Now if your idea of a meal is some kind of organic grain health food vegetarian gluten-free fare stop reading right here. However if you want to genuine prime steak cooked on a woodfired Grill the size of a pick up truck you can't beat Charlie's. The place is elegant with wood paneling and oil paintings like a whole time steakhouse should be. Our server Jane was Pleasant and attentive. Apple crumb pie desert rounded it all off. And the prices are less than I pay at Emerils back home
Service was great as well as atmosphere. We ordered draft beer that came out warm. Server apologized and we picked a different beer. We ordered medium well filet steak and half of steak was rare. Didnt want to say anything else to server. This is second time i have been to charleys and the steaks were undercooked. Very dissapointed considering we like the restaurant.
They had no trouble accommodating our table of 8 and our server was a very pleasant and knowledgeable one. The food was out of this world and prepared exactly as described. We didn't save room for dessert but we ordered a few anyways and they were incredible. I would highly recommend Charley's for steak lovers especially!
For many years Charley's at International Drive was one of my favorite steak houses anywhere. Last visit turned to be somewhat disappointing. Service was not excellent from the greeter, bar tender and waiter as before. "Family size" sides were individual sized.
Steaks still good though.
Hopefully training and side dishes will be improved.
We all visited the establishment with 14 people and were VERY disappointed.
First the server told us the seafood platter is $39/per person and he said two people is enough as appetizer for the three of us at one end of the table. Then when the check came he charged us $259??? He said he never said that and four of us heard that, we all said we heard you.
Then three of our meals were not cooked properly. I was the host and ordered a filet 8 oz medium. it arrived raw, and I asked for medium, and then 8 minutes later? It arrived well done??? And i was the host paying the bill and had NO dinner. My wife sent back her meal as it also was not cooked well at all. My regional sales manager received beef tartare that had veins and nerves showing, also sent back. Needless to say we were MOST disgusted and VERY disappointed. Then to make it really awful they added 22% gratuity??? This is UNACCEPTABLE.
We will never return to this establishment. I was so embarrassed for my clients.
the management did not want to hear anything we said or asked.
Wow was dinner a disappointment. Lots of issues...one steak overcooked, forgot the creamed kale, had to ask multiple times for another round, beer bottles routinely sat on the table empty, requested water- never refilled. Server was MIA half the night, obviously busy with other tables. Steak was good but not amazing. I thought this was the best, most famous steak house in town but clearly they have gotten complacent. We spent a lot of money there and I would not go back. Very disappointing client dinner!
One of the best, if not the best steak house I've been to so far. I had the Bison ribeye cooked medium and my taste buds were on cloud 9. Would highly recommend this place to anyone, seasoned or beginner steak eaters. Must warn that it may cost you a pretty penny but quality comes at a price and this was well worth it ! ! ! Even the sides and appetizers were off the charts! ! ! Cudos to the chefs......
I had a reservation for 5:00, showed up at 4:55 and didn't get seated till 5:15. The two women in the front did not do a good job. I wanted to be seated at 5, that is why I made the reservation. I would understand if they were busy but Thurs. at 5, we were the only ones standing there.
Also, the younger lady that was seating had a bad cold. I would rather not get sick when I go out to eat. She should have stayed home.
Unbelievable experience filled with amazing food and experienced and fun waitstaff! I consider myself a home steak conisour, who has dabbled quite a bit in steak aging and creating "my" perfect steak experience. Charley's took this to another level and pretty much ruined me and will make me work harder to reach my goal of aging and cooking the perfect steak at home. Flat out loved it!
I have made this trip to Charley's an annual event for several years now. It used to be fantastic and the past few years has steadily gone downhill. The service was spot on but the food, wasn't. The house salad was old and wilted. My lamb chops way undercooked. The porkchop was overcooked, dry and tough. Definitely not going back. There are plenty of places on International Drive to try instead.
We have been to Charley's before and every time we come to Orlando we go. The steaks are amazing, as is the service and the waiters knowledge and pride in the food is adds to the experience. The steaks are cooked without chemicals and are high quality meats. Couldn't have been better.
