Charley's Steak House is owned by the Woodsby family and has operated in Florida since 1974. Great experience, Steaks are phenomenal. Apptz are great. Staff pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. Orlando our waiter from Chicago was on point with vino. Robert Hall 2013 Cab was great. Wet aged steaks are a gem. If you enjoy quality and understand you pay for it this place is awesome. If you don't understand that then I'd recommend Longhorn.
Going back next weekend.

We ate at the bar two nights in a row due to close proximity to our hotel. We had a super nice bartender who could be a doppelganger to Prince. Food and sevice excellent. Crab legs 1st night and crab claws and escargot second night.

What can I say. The filet mignon I had was out of this world. Cooked to perfection and so was the baked potato I had. Even though the place was very busy our entrees came out very quickly. The service was fantastic. Every time I come to Orlando I make it a point of going to Charley’s.
Overall it was an ok experience.
We arrived at around 9pm which is definitely too late for a big meal since getting the order in took along time and main course was not served before 10 pm.
The Tar-Tar was very good and a large portion that would be great to share. Phantastic lobster bisque. We split the 20 ounce filet which was dry and rather chewy on the outside and had a rubbery texture in the middle. If you plan to split it have them cut it before it is cooked or pick another cut. The side salad was almost frozen. Made accommodations for a seafood allergy.
Drink service took a long time to arrive and our server was not very attentive with refills.
Overall I would say it is a good choice for a special event.
We were met by what appeared to be a very overwhelmed hostess after a few large business groups rudely cut in front of us and demanded seats right away. The restaurant was at about 1/2 capacity when we arrived on-time for our reservation but we were still asked to wait an additional 20min before our table was ready. Once seated, our waiter was prompt, very hospitable and provided fabulous service. He definitely made up for the poor greeting upon arrival. The lobster bisque was PHENOMENAL! Shrimp cocktail fresh but was a little disappointed that our steak was a bit under cooked and way over seasoned with salt for my liking. Overall still provided for a very nice dinner out.
After hearing about Charley's for years, made a special trip off the big Mouse property as a party of 6 adults to try out this location. It started out okay, fresh bread was wonderful and the house salad was delicious. It went downhill quickly. One of our party ordered a different salad, it was forgotten but brought quickly when we reminded waiter. Drink orders were slow. Water was refilled once immediately, and then never again. For an upscale place and what they charged for food, the food delivery should have been spot on, but failed. We had a couple splitting a filet but wanted it cooked two different temps, were told that it could not be split in the back but had to be split at the table. The filet was brought out with the other meals, split, then sent back to be cooked at another temp while the rest ate their food. This may have been overlooked if the lobster tail ordered with that same meal had also come out so this person could have been eating with the rest of the group, but the waiter had forgotten that and had to have that cooked also. Only 1 of the 3 table sides came out early and with the food, the rest of the sides did not come out until at least 3 of us had already had our plates cleared, so we couldn't even enjoy them. Even after plates were cleared that remaining steak portion and lobster still hadn't arrived and we were still waiting on one beer order. Water still wasn't refilled. Finally once the steak and lobster were served at least 15 minutes after the other main meals, and the rest of our party was nearly done, we complained to the server and he sent a manager to address the issues. The beer was brought to the table. Manager comped some portion of the meal and brought out 3 desserts for our party of 6 people to split, and 5 plates and forks. We got the 6th eventually. Cannot see us returning, the food wasn't that great. Perhaps the Tampa location was just THAT much better for our friend?
Our Server Adam is a true professional and knows how to make you feel important. Fabio, the manager is friendly and greeted us and checked in on us. We have been coming here for over 18 years and it is this level of service and great food that bring us back.
We have been to Charley’s numerous times and it never disappoints. The staff are so welcoming and attentive (unlike another steak house that shall go unnamed but begins with S____’_). Food is always delicious. We usually order the 12 oz filet mignon and the waitstaff are happy to split that into 1/3-2/3 servings to accommodate our appetites. On this occasion we ordered the 24 oz Porterhouse. My husband was very happy with his strip steak portion but my filet wasn’t up to the standard of filet mignon that I usually enjoy at Charley’s. That, however, was our choice and I’ll just go back to my happy habit of ordering their filet mignon cut. The salads and sides were great. Special mention of the cauliflower must be made. It was absolutely fabulous! I do wish Charley’s would go back to creamed spinach instead of kale, though. Key lime pie is so delicious; the crust is unique and adds the perfect texture to the creamy filling. We had a lovely, relaxed evening; Miguel is so pleasant and takes good care of his guests. Although we enjoy Ruth’s Chris and Morton’s, we keep coming back to Charley’s for their cozy, welcoming ambiance, excellent waitstaff and amazing food.
My parents and I all got the Porterhouse. First, all steaks perfectly cooked. The steak was absolutely delicious. It was so tender, you could almost cut the meat with your fork. Our waiters name was Tony. He was an absolute gentleman. He was constantly coming by our table to see if we needed anything. I’m from New York and I love Peter Luger. Charley’s was right up there with Peter Luger, along with better service. I will definitely be back and soon... lol
We I have been to Charley's in Tampa on numerous occasions and have always been very pleased. I was not disappointed at the one in Kissimmee. The food was well prepared, there was a buzz but not too loud and certainly didn't interfere with our business conversation, and Michelle provided excellent service. Just know that when you order one of the side dishes it'll be enough for at least four of you.
