Physically a lovely restaurant. Tables are well-spaced. Charming host/hostess and waiters. They take a team approach which really led to excellent service. The food was very consistently excellent. Extensive wine and cocktail list. Live music was an elegant touch (flute, base, painno) and not too loud. A little hard to find since not on the street. Need to walk into a building to find entranace to restaurant.
The best food i've eaten in a while! Our server picked out our food and every bite was incredible.
Service was amazing, food was incredible. Highly recommend this place.
A perfect evening
Great experience. Food and service exceeded expectations. Strongly suggest trying this out the next time you visit Charleston.
Excellent food with amazing service, also one of the best restaurants in Charleston
What an experience for my 80th birthday! Remarkable food and ambiance
Food was very good, if a little uninspired. Service was attentive and friendly. Jazz quartet was playing at a pleasant volume. Price was fair for overall experience.
We ate in the bar area. Everything about the meal was superb. Nice ambiance and a jazz trio playing. Excellent, friendly service. The food was orgasmic, especially rhe red snapper in green curry sauce. The crab cake was delicious as well as the roasted beet salad with pomegranate seeds. Reasonable price. Highly recommended.
Best special occasion restaurant in Charleston. Always outstanding. Best quality food and service in town.
I reserved a 5:30pm dining time as I can’t stand a noisy dining experience. I was surprised by the number of people already seated. Fortunately, it was quiet and peaceful with just the right amount of hustle and bustle to keep things interesting. I started with the FOIE GRAS, it was perfectly pan seared and delicious; tender with just the right amount of crust and the accompanying sauce was perfect in flavor, making the most of the duck. Although the Squab is listed as an appetizer I ordered it as my entrée. It was outstanding in flavor and texture, and just the right portion size for a “grazer” such as myself who likes to combine smaller, similarly themed items rather than one large item. From start to finish our servers were pleasent, listened carefully to our questions and delivered discrete yet friendly service. Michelle is a rare gem among chefs and I look forward to enjoying her creations again.
Awesome as always. Food is delicious, presentation exquisite, service outstanding. Best dinner in Charleston.
This is listed as a two $ price level. It’s actually a 4 $. I had a delicious entree but it was $60. Very good experience but it was more expensive then I expected.
Excellent high end restaurant. Great quality, slightly overpriced wine list.
Sparkles Night on the Town was perfect at the perfect location. Everything from beginning to end was special and magnificent!
We had a lovely dinner! The service was excellent and our food was first class.
We dined with our adult son with special needs. We had requested a quiet table. The restaurant was so very gracious about how they greeted and seated us away from the live music (which was nice to listen to).The food was amazing and the service impeccable start to finish. Old school steak house ambiance. Highly recommend The Charleston Grill.
Once again, Charleston Grill was amazing. The service was incredible and the food, most delicious. Adam was the best and so very nice. Highly recommend this fine establishment.
Lovely staff, great food and wine, bar is to close to the tables so you have all the load noise from there and then live music to load from other end. We had to really almost scream at on another across the table
Spectacular service and food was great. Best thing we ate was the little "tasting apps" we received early in the meal.
Great experience. Our waiter was Taylor and he did an excellent job. The owner was also very friendly and made sure everyone had the best dinner possible.
Overall a good experience. Service is always impeccable. But I do have one comment—We went for our anniversary. I indicated that on the reservation, but I tried to call and left messages to have a bottle of something waiting for us as a surprise for my husband. Never got a return call. They did acknowledge our anniversary when we arrived, which was nice. Just a little frustrated. And that could have added $100 (easily) to the check.
Great dinner Charleston Grill friendly wait staff, great service and awesome Colorado Lamb Chops
Staff treated us like royalty. The seats were very comfy with pillows. Very good live music with sax, double bass, and piano at just the right volume . The food was delicious. We highly recommend the crab cakes and the lamb. Huge wine selection. Save room for dessert!
First time there, we loved everything! Great food, super wine list. The live jazz was perfect
Best dinner on our 30DayGreat American Road Trip. The six course tasting was perfect
Hands down the best dining experience in Charleston. When you are going to spend 150 to 200 for dinner, you expect and get the best!
Waiter Brian was great and would definitely recommend this restaurant for a lovely dinner.
As always, we had a lovely experience at Charleston Grill. Great food, well presented by polite professional people.
One of the best meals we have had the great pleasure to experience. We tried various appetizers, sides and entrees and all exceeded our expectations. This is a place you will want to frequently visit and one we highly recommend.
Charleston Grill never dissapoints... Fabulous every time
This is a Top Shelf place in a town full of great restaurants. A go to spot with a wine list that never ends. Excellent service, great food.
Charleston Grill is the ultimate, luxurious dining experience in Charleston. From the moment you walk in to the last bite, everything at Charleston Grill is first class.
My wife and I did the 8 course tasting menu with wine pairings. The wine program at Charleston Grill rivals that of any 3 Michelin Star restaurant. The service, the ambiance, and, most importantly, the food matches that as well. Dish after dish was perfectly executed and packed a ton of flavor. They don’t over complicate things, but they know delicious. From the tuna, to their famous crab cakes, to the foie gras, venison, and lamb, it just doesn’t get better than this in Charleston. The wines elevated each dish as well.
Don’t miss an opportunity at the ultimate in fine dining in Charleston.
Adam and John were as great as the food
Unbelievable service with amazing food. Fine dining but worth it. A must see for sure if you go to Charleston, South Carolina.
The whole team at the grill really made us feel welcome and showed us a fantastic evening. The food was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. Loved every bit of the experience!
The 6 course tasting menu with wine pairing was fabulous and the service was outstanding!
Excellent everything!!! Especially the mushroom cavatelli
Lovely place. Live jazz. Great wine list. Excellent service and very upscale food. Would go again.
We wined and dined our way through Charleston for a month and this was the finest of our dining experiences overall. The Stone crab appetizer is heaven and my sturgeon entree is my most delicious food memory! The staff is attentive and service spot-on. Perhaps the best though is the performance by the talented jazz trio- it completely adds to the ambience so that you know that you are enjoying a very special evening.
Hands down! Brian is the best waiter at the Charleston Grill. He has an amazing relationship with the customers. He is prompt and very very courteous. He also makes every moment memorable.
