Live Jazz: Sunday - Thursday 7:00pm -11:00pm, Friday & Saturday 8:00pm - 12:00am
This restaurant was awesome. The service was outstanding and the food was too. They had live jazz music too. It is an awesome dining experience!!
Excellent food and service. Very upscale dining. Need to dress appropriately to dine here.
Definitely a special occasion place. Quite expensive but truly wonderful food. Best salad I ever had, and the South Indian spiced fish (redfish) was completely original and a once in a lifetime kind of experience.
The food was delicious and unique. Carefully and wonderfully prepared! Our appetizers (tomato cobbler and octopus) were both amazing! Service was great- manager was very attentive and overall experience was awesome!
World class cuisine with friendly professional service.
Always an amazing experience. Taylor was our server and he was very helpful with appetizer selections and one of the best wines we’ve ever had!
Incredible food and attentive service makes this one of the best steakhouses I have ever been to. Great wine list with reasonable prices.
Gem! Excellent Customer Service! Perfect Anniversay Dinner!
I had a friend visiting from Atlanta and wanted to take her to a fabulous restaurant that I had been to before many years ago, and knew would not disappoint! The wait staff was amazing and so was the entire dining experience! I cannot wait to revisit this lovely place again sometime soon!
We have dined here hundreds of times and have never been disappointed in any way.
An absolutely outstanding restaurant! The tasting menu is excellent as is the service.
Such a nice experience! The live music was wonderful. The wait staff were so great and efficient. My husband’s steak was a little to rare and they were quick to fix the issue. We had a wonderful time.
This restaurant is in a mall, which was a big surprise and disappointing. The service was excellent, however and the steak was truly delicious. The music was lovely. The octopus was overcopked but the squab was a delightful appetizer.
Outstanding service & food!
Charleston Grill is a must go! The food was superb and service was even better...
One of the highest rated restaurants I have seen on OpenTable, Charleston Grill was exceptional in food, service, and ambiance. Our waiter and waitress Bryan and Nike were amazing.
The food was terrible this time. I have eaten there several times throughout the years-the food has really gone downhill. The bread was stale, my fish was gross, and my husband's filet mignon was dry. The server was polite, however not very attentive to us when she realized we were not drinking. (at least that's how we felt...you never know, she may have been having a bad night) With so many good restaurants in Charleston, I was disappointed in our dining experience.
Staff honored our anniversary with special seating, a card, all greeters congratulating us, and a special sweet presentation at the end of the evening
Delicious food, perfect service by Brian, and lovely jazz music in the background. We'll most certainly be back.
Incredible ambiance and seating. Our servers were great and efficient. The food was unbelievable. Everything we got was delicious but we would strongly recommend the crab cakes and the tenderloin. Definitely a treat!! The whole experience was worth it and we would definitely return.
Best crab cakes I have ever eaten. Overall food was superb. Waitstaff lovely and attentive. And they graciously gave us their crab cake recipe. Went for a romantic dinner and it was amazing
John and Andrew were our servers and were absolutely outstanding and professional. The items we selected were beautifully presented and tasted even better. Will plan to return and would definitely recommend this Charleston restaurant to friends.
Best restaurant in Charleston. And as always, Shawn provided excellent service.
Phenomenal meal! All of the dishes our party ordered were stupendous. The service was top notch with very knowledgeable servers and sommelier making excellent recommendations for the food and the wine after asking questions and listening to our preferences.
Unfortunately the guy in the next table had had one too many and was very lound and obnoxious. The live jazz music was very enjoyable.
Excellent restaurant for fine dining. Attentive service, good atmosphere, & enjoyable music, not to mention fantastic food.
The food was delicious and the service outstanding. We will definitely eat here again the next time we visit Charleston.
We were honeymooning down in Charleston and chose to celebrate here. The meal was outstanding and the service was first class. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion. Props to Adam & Steve
Very nice anniversary dinner...staff was excellent...food was perfectly prepared and presented.
Always a delight and the food, the service and the atmosphere were supreme
Really expensive but really good! All of our appetizers, meals, and desserts were fabulous and the service was outstanding.
The food is hands down some of the best food we have ever had. Not to be missed, order the foie gras paired with Paul Hobbs Ross Station Chardonnay one is literally made for the other. Chef Weaver is a talent and force who can put her food up against anyone! You cannot pass up an opportunity to eat here!
I went to this restaurant because I heard they were trying to get a michelin star. It was an outstanding meal and I believe they are probly very close to getting a michelin star. I did the 4 course tasting menu which was creative delicious and a very good value. The wait staff Brian and Trevor were very personable and tailored the tasting menu to our preferences and the wine that we had ordered. It was an excellent experience I will definitely be returning.
I love this restaurant. The staff is very well trained. I've never had a bad experience. Still my favorite in Charleston after 15 years.
Given the ratings and the price I was expecting a higher standard. There were elements of the meal that we're good but other aspects that were inadequate. The pork belly appetizer was chopped into small pieces with a consistency of dried smoked meat. The accompanying watermelon added an element of sweetness that did not carry or bring the the flavors together. This was consistent in other dishes including the foie gras which by itself was great but the accompanying blueberries did nothing to meld the flavors of savory and sweet. The sturgeon entry did not appear to be said fish as it tasted of non description white fleshy fish. Moreover it was drenched in butter. The mushroom cavatelli was a good dish though perhaps over salted shadowing the flavors of the truffle and chantrelles.
This is one of five reviews of Charleston restaurants my wife and I dined at during late August/early September. The grading is based upon each individual restaurants character. i.e. Casual, Upscale, Tourist,...
We decided to splurge and make the Charleston Grill my wife's second birthday celebration of our trip. It is an upscale restaurant with the atmosphere of a private club. The dining room is large with tasteful wood paneling. The seating is well spaced and provides a modicum of privacy to your party. Live Jazz music provides a perfect accompaniment to dinner. My wife and I arrived and were warmly greeted by the hostess and seated in a corner table. The servers operate in pairs and are friendly, knowledgeable, and very, very attentive. We again began our dinner with a 1/2 bottle of the Taittinger champagne. For an appetizer we both ordered the crab crabs. They were excellent. For the main course my wife had the sturgeon and I had the lamb. The sturgeon was cooked to perfection and my wife loved it. The lamb was a generous portion and very tasty. Our choice of wine was Tor Cuvee Susan (My wife's name) and of course it was a perfect accompaniment to both meals. For desert we had the creme brulee and it too was perfect. Throughout the service could not have been better and we greatly enjoyed the atmosphere with the Jazz in the background. Highly recommend.
You want steak, go to Halls, you want great service, go to Halls. For the money, HORRIBLE!!!!!!
Wonderful as always!
Delightful staff... fabulous food !
I set a reservation for post-proposal to my fiancé, and the staff made our night so memorable. They were professional, but also down to earth and fun. They made excellent recommendations as well. We did the 6 course tasting menu, everything was great, but the lamb and foie gras were two of the best things I've ever had. The waffle and rhubarb ice cream sandwich was so light and delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant is fantastic, with light music playing in the background. I've been to over 100 restaurants in Charleston, and this one was my favorite. For your next big event do yourself a favor and schedule a reservation here.
The food was average but overpriced. Service was excellent. Location was a bit of a surprise. We were expecting a nice dining experience in an old Charleston building complete with character and charm. Instead the Location is a bit like a retail mall.
