The hostess sat us in a quieter area of the restaurant as we were surprised how loud it was when we arrived. The cocktails were perfect and the food delicious! The service was impeccable! We were able to have quiet conversations but the servers were very attentive.
Lacks the Charleston ambiance. Could be a fine dining restaurant in any Metro area USA. Great food and service, but very expensive compared to other upscale restaurants in Charleston.
First time visit for my sons 21st. The staff were outstanding, the food superb and the whole evening an experience worthy of one of life's milestones. I couldn't recommend it higher
The Charleston Grill has to be among the very best restaurants in the nation, not just Charleston. My advice to others: do NOT miss this dining experience! It is associated with a large, new downtown hotel, and the room itself lacks a certain amount of “charm.” However, the hostesses, the wait staff, and most importantly, the chef(s) are all superb, beyond excellent.
Great food, and service was impeccable. They do not hassle you if you bring your own wine ($40) corkage which is not unreasonable.
Excellent table. Excellent food. Beautiful restaurant. Friendly waiter-staff. Timely order. This was my favorite meal in Charleston this trip. Best crab cakes ever. I highly recommend this restaurant on your next trip.
Six of us were eating together and had a wonderful experience! The food was special, delicious, and presented in a gorgeous way. The servers were efficient and worked as a team. Every person knew about the menu and could answer any question we had. There were special touches. The experience could not have been better!
My wife’s b-day. Meal and service were outstanding. Best in Charleston.
Best meal we have ever had!
A lovey restaurant and the decor was very nice. Reminded me of some of the NYC restaurant
decors. The food was well prepared. Overall a very nice experience.
Exceptional locally sourced menu that provided seafood, vegan and meat alternatives. The beet and fennel salad is terrific, veal tenderloin is cooked perfectly to temperature and the beef tenderloin melts in your mouth! Extensive wine list.
Physically a lovely restaurant. Tables are well-spaced. Charming host/hostess and waiters. They take a team approach which really led to excellent service. The food was very consistently excellent. Extensive wine and cocktail list. Live music was an elegant touch (flute, base, painno) and not too loud. A little hard to find since not on the street. Need to walk into a building to find entranace to restaurant.
The best food i've eaten in a while! Our server picked out our food and every bite was incredible.
Service was amazing, food was incredible. Highly recommend this place.
A perfect evening
Great experience. Food and service exceeded expectations. Strongly suggest trying this out the next time you visit Charleston.
Excellent food with amazing service, also one of the best restaurants in Charleston
What an experience for my 80th birthday! Remarkable food and ambiance
Food was very good, if a little uninspired. Service was attentive and friendly. Jazz quartet was playing at a pleasant volume. Price was fair for overall experience.
We ate in the bar area. Everything about the meal was superb. Nice ambiance and a jazz trio playing. Excellent, friendly service. The food was orgasmic, especially rhe red snapper in green curry sauce. The crab cake was delicious as well as the roasted beet salad with pomegranate seeds. Reasonable price. Highly recommended.
Best special occasion restaurant in Charleston. Always outstanding. Best quality food and service in town.
Amazing food. Love this place
I reserved a 5:30pm dining time as I can’t stand a noisy dining experience. I was surprised by the number of people already seated. Fortunately, it was quiet and peaceful with just the right amount of hustle and bustle to keep things interesting. I started with the FOIE GRAS, it was perfectly pan seared and delicious; tender with just the right amount of crust and the accompanying sauce was perfect in flavor, making the most of the duck. Although the Squab is listed as an appetizer I ordered it as my entrée. It was outstanding in flavor and texture, and just the right portion size for a “grazer” such as myself who likes to combine smaller, similarly themed items rather than one large item. From start to finish our servers were pleasent, listened carefully to our questions and delivered discrete yet friendly service. Michelle is a rare gem among chefs and I look forward to enjoying her creations again.
Awesome as always. Food is delicious, presentation exquisite, service outstanding. Best dinner in Charleston.
This is listed as a two $ price level. It’s actually a 4 $. I had a delicious entree but it was $60. Very good experience but it was more expensive then I expected.
Excellent high end restaurant. Great quality, slightly overpriced wine list.
Sparkles Night on the Town was perfect at the perfect location. Everything from beginning to end was special and magnificent!
We had a lovely dinner! The service was excellent and our food was first class.
We dined with our adult son with special needs. We had requested a quiet table. The restaurant was so very gracious about how they greeted and seated us away from the live music (which was nice to listen to).The food was amazing and the service impeccable start to finish. Old school steak house ambiance. Highly recommend The Charleston Grill.
Once again, Charleston Grill was amazing. The service was incredible and the food, most delicious. Adam was the best and so very nice. Highly recommend this fine establishment.
Lovely staff, great food and wine, bar is to close to the tables so you have all the load noise from there and then live music to load from other end. We had to really almost scream at on another across the table
Spectacular service and food was great. Best thing we ate was the little "tasting apps" we received early in the meal.
Great experience. Our waiter was Taylor and he did an excellent job. The owner was also very friendly and made sure everyone had the best dinner possible.
Overall a good experience. Service is always impeccable. But I do have one comment—We went for our anniversary. I indicated that on the reservation, but I tried to call and left messages to have a bottle of something waiting for us as a surprise for my husband. Never got a return call. They did acknowledge our anniversary when we arrived, which was nice. Just a little frustrated. And that could have added $100 (easily) to the check.
Great dinner Charleston Grill friendly wait staff, great service and awesome Colorado Lamb Chops
Staff treated us like royalty. The seats were very comfy with pillows. Very good live music with sax, double bass, and piano at just the right volume . The food was delicious. We highly recommend the crab cakes and the lamb. Huge wine selection. Save room for dessert!
First time there, we loved everything! Great food, super wine list. The live jazz was perfect
Best dinner on our 30DayGreat American Road Trip. The six course tasting was perfect
Hands down the best dining experience in Charleston. When you are going to spend 150 to 200 for dinner, you expect and get the best!
Waiter Brian was great and would definitely recommend this restaurant for a lovely dinner.
As always, we had a lovely experience at Charleston Grill. Great food, well presented by polite professional people.
