Made a reservation and arrived on time. Waited at least 15 minutes for a booth. As we waited, there were 3 empty booths that we could see and at least 2 bus boys and a hostess just standing around. Also during this time, my daughter opened/held the door for two elderly ladies in walkers while the busboys and hostess were less than 15 feet away.
Finally sat at a different booth and had a fabulous waitress Brianna. Wonderful food, great service.
I normally give Cunningham restaurants 5 stars on everything but they were a little off on this occasion. Food was good but the asparagus was uncharacteristicly stringy and tough. Service was also a tad slow.
Made a reservation days in advanced. Arrived on time and still had to wait 15 minuets for a seat. Waited another 5 minutes for water, 15 minutes for a kids chocolate milk, and only had 4 menus for our party of 6. Food did arrive in sufficient time but service in between was severely lacking.... not to mention the wait time for the check after we completed our meal. Very disappointed in the service level this evening and lack of preparation.
I was very disappointed in our service. Food was great! Service was TERRIBLE! Drinks were wrong, food was forgotten, we asked the waiter THREE times for our bill and waited 30 minutes to get it. We got enough points to receive a gift card... waited another 20 minutes for that and they sent it to the wrong table initially. This was my mother’s day meal and I was extremely disappointed!
We took my Mom for a Mothers Day dinner. We all had one of the specials amd they were delicious! Topped it off with delicious carrot cake and coffee!
Was pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious. Service was friendly and attentive.
Went for Mother's Day - great buffet choices. Have eaten there off their regular menu as well and was pleased
I love Charbonos and we eat there often. This was our first time for brunch. It was $25 a person, which is not steep, but drinks are not included. Our party of three, plus tip was $100. The food was good, but not replenished very fast so that we could not try some things. The set up was crowded and hard to get around. We had reservations, and were seating right away even though we were 15 minutes early. All in all, a nice place, and I will return, but probably not for brunch.
Charbono's (or really anything from the Cunningham Restaurant Group) is a favorite. Went specifically on Mother's Day because they were having a great buffet at a decent price. Service was great, table was waiting, food was excellent, and a good time was had by all!!
How was our experience? In a word, disappointing. I drove from Ohio to take my mother here for Mother's Day. The dining room was overcrowded - maybe extra tables were brought in to squeeze more business for the holiday? The prime rib was overcooked and cut by an untrained kid. The food was mostly bland and uninteresting. One vegetable was available with dinner. I hope this spot just had a hiccup trying something new for the weekend and their regular dining experience is what they were built on. It would be a shame to continue on the path we experienced this week.
A very comfortable and friendly place for dinner. Food is always great as well as staff.
All went well on a busy Prom Night for the local kids. Server was friendly and timely. Manager made sure we were satisfied.
Great place to dine if you don’t mind the noise level. Great food but the plate was hotter than the food.
Everything was nicely done, as it always is. Cain was an excellent server.
This restaurant, while moderately good, is part of the Cunningham Group, which is why we chose it. It is not as good as the others we have been to. The chicken Parmesan I had was way overcooked and the pasta was just a big lump of stuck-together spaghetti under the chicken. The breading on the chicken tasted burnt. The 3-dip appetizer was good and the cocktails were good, and the waiter in the bar was really great. Overall, it was adequate, but not worth driving all the way to Avon for.
Server was very friendly and efficient. Food was very good. Making reservations on line was easy and reminders was nice.
Waiter was good in the beginning but did get super busy so had to wait a bit later before checking out. It was fine though. Also really loud through dinner had a hard time hearing across the table. Over all was good
Calamari appetizer was very good.
Celebrating a birthday and such a nice meal! Great service and love the bourbon pasta! We felt welcome, pampered and fully fed- my leftovers proved 2 additional meals for me!
Great meal. Delicious meal options. Love the bread and dipping oil.
Love coming in late at night and having a quick pizza and salad. Appreciated our server who noted get the pizza wasn't really done without our saying anything and took it back to improve it. Would love to see a more diverse snack and late night menu
Went for the Easter brunch. Well stocked, pleasant and great food.
We love Charbonos - our favorite restaurant in Avon. We enjoyed their Easter brunch this year. A great selection of food options and dessert. All the food was hot and fresh.
Easter Brunch. Very good. Great service.
Easter brunch was great, but it was very crowded and difficult to maneuver around at times. The mood was festive and the food was good. Service was adequate.
Our food, excellent, as usual at most Cunningham restaurants. Personally, my horseradish salmon with asparagus substituted for Brussels sprouts, was the best. The service for the 4 of us seated in the bar area, was not so good. Our server obviously very rushed, perhaps an off-night or someone else didn't show for work. We had to repeatedly ask for more water, bread, dipping sauce and she initially skipped a cocktail order. Just not up to expected service.
Usually go to Boulder Creek in Brownsburg but they were booked so we thought we would go to Charbanos. Dissapointed as the quality of food was not the same. They were really busy. But service was good.
Great restaurant. The food is fabulous! The only thing I was disappointed in was the vegetable soup that I paid a $2 up charge for. I don't think the little cup of soup should have been an up charge, and it was just OK. Will definitely go again though as the restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated.
Had to reschedule due to weather and went the next day. Had us set up to go in the bar. Not, a good choice for us and asked for something else. They did seat us in a booth. Food and drinks were good . The chicken could have used more flavor and was a tad over cooked. The waiter was awesome and the place appeared to be very clean. Prices were reasonable. May try it again as this was our first visit.
My husband and son took me to Charbono's for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Of course, no wait. We were seated in a booth in the bar, as requested. Great ambiance and great food. The waitress was attentive and very knowledgable about the menu. The cost was mid-range, as expected. Overall, a wonderful dining experience.
Always a good meal. Our group of 4 had prime rib(excellent), bourbon street pasta (spicy, good flavor), gnocchi, delicious and walleye and vegetables, fish may have been a little done with firm edges but overall a good plate. We will return.
Always a great experience!
Food was excellent! We couldn't have been happier with the service either! Great place
The wait staff and management are awesome. A neighborhood feel, with downtown food quality!
Excellent as always. Love the early bird menu. Smaller portions but exactly the amount of food we really need to eat. Excellent price too. The horseradish salmon with Brussel sprouts is my favorite. Others had steak, shrimp, chicken entrees off this menu. Everyone was extremely happy with their meals. They offer these early bird entrees Monday-Friday from 4:00-6:00. Bread with oil is the best of any restaurant around too. I’ve never had anything here I didn’t enjoy.
Our server was extremely slow. We were not in a hurry, but 35 minutes to get our first drink and 2 hours for the meal was bad.
Table was ready on time. Beautiful place. Excellent service, Great drinks, superb food. Had the Walleye which was as good as you can get in Minnesota. Easy to find at the end of a strip mall on a main drag.
