Charbonos - Avon Ratings and Reviews
Got there at 5:00, seating was immediate. Lighting was perfect not to bright, not to dark. Staff was attentive and courteous. Although prime rib was the special, My wife and I chose the 6 oz. Filet Mignon (I've had the prime rib before and the smaller portion is a too generous, I'm a big guy but had to work to finish). The meat was perfectly done, so flavorful and tender. I wish I could cook steaks that well on my grill at home. Wife notice pizza oven in back, oven fired. We plan on returning regularly, want to try the pizza and seafood menu.
Server was busy manager delivered food..I could tell it was under heater for a bit. She came to table and "auctioned" of the food! (Had to ask who had what) I was on the inside, she set my husband's plate down, then mine dragging her sweater sleeve back across my husband's plate and off she went. My vegetables were luke warm and the mashed potatoes were not much warmer. I had the filet, it was just ok.
I wasn't impressed at all with the food or the loud atmosphere. For the price, food just wasn't that good.
Loved 1/2 priced wine bottle Mondays!
Steak was slightly undercooked, but immediately resolved.
Wedge left something to be desired.
Tuna was FANTASTIC!
Pasta was spot on!
Tyler was training and his attention to detail and attitude contributed to a more pleasant experience. Will be back!
Offers cork and carry service allowing the experience to extend to the rest of date night!
A go-to favorite. I prefer sitting in the bar area, as the regular dining area can get too loud for me.
Food is ALWAYS great, service is good and drink prices are fair.
I go here as a regular dining place for myself. They offer a good menu and daily specials. Comfortable and friendly. Management takes notice in what is going on and checks with tables to make sure everyone is happy. They do want to please.
They have a rewards program that capsules all the restaurants in their group and gives you a good return on your purchases.
You won't be disappointed.
We had dinner Saturday evening. I'd made reservations and we arrived 15 min early and they seated us right away. Food and drinks arrived when expected and we received a phone call and needed to leave quickly. The waitress was great at helping with boxing up our food and paying the check promptly. I ordered a smothered chicken breast with my two sides as mushrooms and baby spinach and Parmesan risotto and everything was delicious I will definitely be back and ordering the same meal. Everyone at our table was pleased with their food. I'd say this is one of the best restaurants in the Avon area. Always have great service and delicious food.
Service and food not what it used to be. Waitress was very nice and worked really hard but she was just spread too thin. Managements fault not hers.
Last three visits have been disappointing. Have had to send food back on each of these visits and we're not all that picky. On two occasions the baked potato was WAY under cooked. On other visit the broccoli was very mushy.
At this point Texas Roadhouse is better and less expensive. Again, we're not snobs. We actually like Texas Roadhouse so that comment was sincere.
Only thing that keeps us going back is that they take reservations.
This is the first time I/we had eaten there for years. Extremely surprised to rediscover a great place to eat. I had a particular meal in mind, ahead of time, but quickly found that there were a ton of options. 8-) Our waiter was great. He made sure that we were well taken care of but did not obnoxiously hover. Everyone picked a different meal and there shared what we picked. Thank you for a fun and wonderful Saturday afternoon!
If you ignore the near college frat party level of noise from the hard surfaced interior and the decision to move some local craft brews from tap to bottle/can them Charbono's is a reasonable Friday night spot. We meet with friends from out of town on the way to the airport and ended up about$50 per person with drinks, but no apps or dessert. My NY strip was well prepared and flavorful and both the filet medallions and the filet were competently done. The fourth dish was the scallops and there was no complaint. All in all not a bargain, but no culinary abberations either.
The food quality has very much increased since our last visit. The filets were cooked to perfection. The waiter was very attentive, made excellent recommendations for the appetizer, and was friendly. This place is a great value for the quality. Probably one of the best restaurants in the Avon area.
I have never seen service this slow. Arrived at 11:30 for lunch, total of three tables occupied including ours. Server disorganized, exteremely slow service for 4 sandwiches and a salad... over 35 min to receive. All sandwiches were cold by the time they were delivered.
Usually eat here for dinner with great service. Learned the lesson for lunch.
Very disappointed. We love the other restaurants owned by Cunningham but this one fell very short. Brunch took over an hour and a half and most was cold by the time it got to our table. Our server had maybe 3 tables but seemed very rushed and busy. Not sure what might have been going on but we would not come back for brunch.
The food was good and there are some nice wines in their wine list. However, the service was poor, perhaps too many tables being covered by a single waiter. The waiter was obviously trying to manage too much. This detracted enormously from what could have been an otherwise good experience.
