Great food and service. This is one of our go-to ramen places in the city! Lots of great options for vegetarians but be careful with the spice bomb! It’s no joke.
Really great experience. Wide variety of delicious cocktails. Lots of ramen choices, with many vegan options. Environment was a little noisy and hard to hear your table mates talking. Service was slow, dinner took around 2 hours.
We appreciate the attentive service and flexibility of the waitstaff. Our order was taken quickly and accommodated a couple of personal preferences. The menu was somewhat limited to noodles and dumplings but was creative and tasted very good. It would have benefited from a few more items though within those two categories, there was a wide range of flavor. The drinks menu was good and the ones we had were well made. Our party of 3 adults and 4 pre-teens was seated outside for lunch. The table/chairs were a bit uncomfortable without cushions and the road noise/traffic was a little distracting.
Simply amazing as usual! I recommend Chaplin's to ALL!
I’ve only been once. Had the buns and the dumplings and they were very good.. My boyfriend had the chaplains Ramen which she enjoyed.we ate outside which was ok. The seating was kind of uncomfortable.
The food is amazing. Hands down, the best Ramen in the city. Highly recommended. The service was mediocre, but hey, we’re just returning from COVID-19 weirdness, but the food trumps any other hiccups. Go, you won’t be dissatisfied.
Everything started out great. I had put my allergies on my reservation. The waiter was very nice and took down my allergies again at the table. Drinks came out and they were very good. However the food we ordered did not taste like seaweed broth it tasted like meat, so we sent it back. The manager came to speak with us he was very pleasant also. He suggested something that he raves about and said he orders all the time. To make a long story short the food he suggested came to the table and was great as he said. The next morning I woke up with hives and an upset stomach. I tried to nurse myself back by taking Benadryl. That didn’t work so I found myself at Patient first getting steroid creams and pills and antihistamines. Maybe I should have reiterated my allergies to the manager but I thought twice was enough. I decided to look back at the menu and the menu item (Ta Ta Men) which let me say it was really good however, not worth 1 week of itching and the next week of steroids. Bottom line is communication is key. Don’t try to fix something without speaking to your staff they may have very important information about the guest. Also speak up again and again about your needs and wants it may save you from a lot of trouble.
Great as usual
Great food and really great service! The staff was really accommodating with a large group!
Food and service were amazing!
Japanese Fried Chicken, the noodles and broth in ramen really stand out
Wonderful staff and the food is delicious. Definitely a great place for ramen.
Food was very good, including the vegetarian options. Get the injected dumplings if you're over 21! So creative, and really delicious (I was worried it would be a bit gimmicky and underwhelming; it was not). Cocktails were also good, but not as good as I was expecting given the co-owners focus exclusively on drinks, and the place has "& Cocktail Bar" in the name. Had a whiskey and at tequila cocktail and they were absolutely fine, just not outstanding.
Service was very friendly, but got surprisingly slow about halfway through as the place filled up - maybe they were understaffed.
Great location and cute decor, though we sat outside.
The food was ok, a bit pricey. The ambience on the patio is great!
Lovely as always. Service a bit slow the last couple of times we’ve been there. We waited 10 min it es outside for our first drink after getting seated
Our waiter was super knowledgeable about all of the food and very nice and helpful. Portions are huge :)
The staff and manager were very accommodating to our table. The bartender upstairs was attentive and his cocktails were delicious.
Received dirty plates with food still stuck to it, and a glass of water with lipstick on it. Food was fine, nothing special. Drinks were good. Service was all over the place. They were kind, but clearly struggling. But they were super accommodating of our reservation change, and they have a nice large patio.
sat at the bar . best experience . Jake was my bartender . he’s v fun , knowledgeable, cultured , and makes awesome cocktails . Oh yes ! And the food is great too . I always get the Chaplin A.S.S . Perfect combo of spicy and sweet !
Gyoza and karage were delicious. Tan tan men barely had any ground pork.
Great happy hour. Favorite ramen place in the city.
Everything we ordered from appetizers to desserts were great. Wish there were more choices for desserts.
Love Chaplins! Every single time. Make sure you hit Chappy Hour!
Atmosphere was ok but I've had better ramen in the city for cheaper prices.
After being told by what felt like everyone I know to go the Chaplins, we finally made it for dinner - and it did not disappoint!!
From the great service, to the fun cocktails, to the yummy apps, and delicious ramen, we had the best time! We will definitely return to Chaplin!
Such a great date spot
Everything about Chaplins is incredible. Great vibes, incredible service, super safe, and the ramen is delicious. Highly recommend for a chill happy hour on the patio.
They brought us the wrong order & then charged us twice. We still haven’t gotten a Refund yet.
Good ramen though!
This restaurant was terrible in so many ways, including ambience, service and food. Starting with drinks, one drink (just a martini) wasn’t made right and the second came out after dinner was served. The « cure » cocktail looks like a a college party punch drink with a flaming tree of rosemary sticking out the top. I wasn’t sure if we should drink it or use it to scare away evil spirits! Food was just awful. How do you screw up edamame? Pork items had so much fat you had to have mining gear to find the meat. We paid (unfortunately) and left after taking a few bites. Very very disappointing.
There’s no place like Chaplins… With spacing of the tables you feel like you’re in your own private area yet you can feel the energy of others around you. And everyone who works there is always accommodating.
My mom had a great time on Morher’s day and that’s all that mattered at that time.
Lovely outdoor dining! Great staff, very friendly. Food and drinks are amazing! Great portions and beverage sizes.
Paul and Jake are very good at their jobs
I heard about Chaplain’s about a year ago and finally got here last week and loved it. The selection of food, the way it was prepared, the vibe and service were all great and I plan to go back.
Chaplin's serves delicious, authentic ramen and the cocktails are excellent. The food and drinks are cleverly named, and the theme of the restaurant comes through in the physical restaurant and decorations, food, and drinks. The Chaplin ramen is dark due to the nori, giving it a black and white look, just like the Chaplin silent films. The staff are very friendly and provide excellent service! If you sit inside, it can get a little loud, but outside is quieter and still has a great atmosphere!
Good, not great. The ramen did not impress me too much.
Always excellent noodles and great service. Plus pet friendly patio with water & treats.
We loved Tim!
