Chapel House Restaurant with Rooms is an award-winning restaurant with high quality accommodation tucked away in the corner of the market square in historic Atherstone, Warwickshire, near Tamworth and Nuneaton.

The A la Carte menu changes weekly and since dishes are cooked freshly to order modifications due to dietary requirements are not a problem. We use top quality locally-sourced ingredients and our impressive wine cellar compliments the quality of the food. Crisp white table linen, polished silver, flattering candlelight and unobtrusive background music provide the basis for intimate romance or smart business alike.

Pheasant
Slices of breast of pheasant set on a crouton and served with a creamy peppercorn sauce
Duck Livers
Sautéed with diced ham and quartered button mushrooms served on a slice of toasted brioche
Flat Mushroom
Filled with roasted Mediterranean vegetable, topped with goat's cheese with a fresh red pepper sauce
Smoked Salmon
Hand-carved smoked salmon parcels filled with a combination of cream cheese, tomato and cucumber
Scallops
Panfried in butter with a sauce of cider and fine herbs garnished with rice
Ham Rolls
Wafer thin slices of aid dried smoked ham, filled with a piece of fresh apple and a blend of stilton and cream, garnished with salad

All dishes are served complete with two fresh vegetables and potato however extra vegetables are available at £2 per portion

with an almond and herb crust and a white wine and herb

Garnished with sliced tomato and cucumber and served with parsley and lemon sauce
Mixed Pepper & Mushroom Stroganoff
Strips of colourful mixed peppers, mushrooms and onions in a light creamy sauce, accompanied by rice instead of potatoes
Grendon Fillet Steak
Cooked to your liking, with a creamy stilton sauce and a 'thatch' of walnuts (£3 supplementary charge) (nuts may be omitted - please ask)

Loin of Grendon lamb cooked pink and served sliced with a sauce of port, orange and redcurrant

Sliced breast of chicken with a sauce of Italian herbs and fresh plum tomatoes

This restaurant is such a refreshing change from the plethora of loud places to eat. It's so relaxing not to have to raise you voice to be heard by your dinner companions. The food is delicious and the service attentive but not intrusive. We enjoyed it so much. Highly recommended.

From the nice friendly welcome through to the final sweet experience my wife and I had a truly excellent evening. The Chef truly is worthy of Michelin Star quality, whilst the owner and her waitresses were friendly not over powering, explained the menu to the wines excellently and service was exemplary. Starter Main and Sweet were excellent and we would recommend to anyone wanting a fine dining experience. It was our first time at Chapel House but it won't be our last.

We came for Valentine weekend, on the Saturday night. The whole experience was very enjoyable. The food was outstanding and the Chef came to each table to ask if we enjoyed our meal. I would highly recommend.

We have visited Chapel House a few times to celebrate special occasions. The whole experience is always first class. You get a warm welcome, a great selection of food and it really doesn’t matter what you pick as it is always delicious and the whole dining experience is exceptional. Would highly recommend to everyone, you just can’t fault it!

Wow !!! What a fabulous evening we had ; the food was fantastic, really attentive staff , the chef came out at the end of service to chat to guests , will definitely recommend Chapel House and will visit again soon .
