Chapel Grille Ratings and Reviews
The food and service was fantastic! Our server was very attentive and friendly. We were there for the Sunday brunch and the only thing I found difficult was how tight it was to move around the dining room going to and from the buffet (we were sitting in the back of the back room).
A good experience overall, for three couples wanting to socialize before the holidays. Wait staff was pleasant and attentive. Food was very good. Only complaint for the evening was the seating we were originally given (they moved us at our request). We were stashed in the draftiest back corner of what appears to be a three season room, on a frigid, snowy night, the coldest yet of the season. We all had to keep our coats/jackets on until we were reseated a few tables away, still by the windows but without the draft. That room shouldn't be used until the heat is brought up-to-snuff for nights like that. We would definitely go there again - but we'd be pro-active about our seating.
All was wonderful with the exception of the temperature in the side dining room with the windows. We were quite chilly for lunch. It was snowing out so we were hoping to warm up. Wishing we sat by the fireplace in the middle dining room. Service & food & decor were excellent
This restaurant is very special. The decor is lovely, the service is good and the food is delicious. I would recommend it to anyone, especially for a special occasion. It is rather expensive. My son who lives out of state and has eaten many places including out of the country said it's one of the nicest restaurants he's eaten at.
I can not say enough about the service and food. Very good! This past weekend we were seated in the back room with the tile floor. It was pretty loud. It did not ruin the time by any means just loud. We are normally seated in the front room. We met the same bus boy twice who reminds us of our son. He is very polite, attentive and just a good kid. Michael Vinaccho if I spelled it correctly. Oh and the bartenders great dirty martinis make it better!
Had dinner with my wife and daughter who visited from Sweden and really enjoyed the stuffed lobster. We had steaks, which were prepared to perfection. Malbec was a good choice with the steaks. Would perhaps prefer some more steak choices on the menu. Service was impeccable. We have been at Chapel Grille before and will certainly return. Recommended for excellent food in a stylish and quiet atmosphere.
We had our Thanksgiving dinner at Chapel Grille with a reservation for four at 6:30 pm. We arrived right on time and were seated within two minutes. We were greeted politely by the staff who were friendly and efficient. The decor is really beautiful and warm in the spirit of the holidays. Our server, AJ, was very charming, friendly, and knowledgeable. She got our orders very quickly and made sure we got our appetizers right away when we told her how hungry were all were. The shrimp coconut arancini and burrata caprese were delicious! As for the food, we all got the traditional turkey dinner. And it did not disappoint. It was a large portion and very delicious with roasted turkey, Italian sausage stuffing, butternut squash purée, and seasoned steamed green beans. Every bite was fantastic and flavorful. We opted for dessert at home. We shared an excellent bottle of champagne with our dinner. AJ was very quick to clear the empty dishes and keep our glasses full of champagne and water. She made our entire experience very special. It was a wonderful Thanksgiving meal. And the best part, no dishes to clean afterwards. I highly recommend Chapel Grille for any occasion.
While my family has enjoyed several holidays at this venue due to the quality of their food and service, our dining experience on Thanksgiving left a lot to be desired mainly due to our waiter's unprofessional attitude and incompetence.
Knowing that the Grille was sticking to a 2 hour seating limit, the 6 adults in our party sat down at 3:30. When my husband asked for two separate checks (never a problem in the past), our waiter made a face, rolled his eyes & commented under his breath. Then, rather than take the orders based upon that request, he proceeded to randomly take orders which had a major impact on the serving of everyone's appetizer and entree and the tabulation of the checks.
While there was bread on the table, we had to ask for bread plates. Our drinks arrived at 3:50, appetizers & salads at 4:25, and the entrees at 4:50 which were placed in front of the wrong person. At 5:20, the waiter came to clear the plates and while he asked if we wanted dessert, he appeared relieved when we declined. Not sure if if had anything to do with the 2 hour seating!
Before he left us, he went over the items for each tab. When he returned 5 minutes later, the tabs were incorrect. A second attempt was still wrong and the 3rd attempt at 5:40 was still not right, however, we decided to just pay the tab and leave. On the way out, I engaged in a brief conversation with another woman who commented that the venue was extremely under staffed. I commented that when we were there for Easter (16 in the party with 3 separate checks) and that we received professional and competent service from appetizers to desserts within a 2 hour limit).
At this point, we are hoping that this was an unusual and unfortunate experience and that a future visit will result in a more satisfying dining experience that we know Chapel Grille is capable of providing.
This was my first time to Chapel Grille and the restaurant did not disappoint any in my party of four. From the valet parking and coat check, to the extensive wine/cocktail menu and food options, we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The interior of the restaurant is stunningly unique and inviting; the decor is eye catching. One person in our group is on a gluten free diet. Our waitress took care to make sure the right plate was delivered to the right diner. While most restaurants will eliminate the gluten items, Chapel Grille went the extra mile and replaced the gluten items with a gluten free option. I rarely see my friend take home leftovers, but this time my friend was thrilled to have something to take home. The antipasti board was generous as well as delicious. The seafood fra diavolo and lobster ravioli were scrumptious. We have nothing bad to say about our experience and we look forward to going back to try other menu options.
I was a little disappointed that I didn't get the seat by the Fire place that I ask for in the comment section when I booked it. It would have been a little more romantic for my wife and I. Especially since no one siting in those tables. Didn't make sense, even after I ask the host. The food and atmosphere was great. Enjoy the quiet, and good music.
A Special place for Special occasions... Varied Menu which should satisfy anyone's taste. Excellent service and great follow up by the entire staff. Whether for everyday dining or those very Special occasions, the Chapel Grille, is sure to leave everyone with that "must return" feeling... Our compliments to the Staff, ALL of them!!!
Made a reservation for an anniversary dinner. The interior of the space did not match the elegance of the exterior in our opinion. We were seated promptly and the staff was courteous, friendly and knowledgeable, no issue there. What we did have issues with were...
1. Seating/space was tight. The waitress did not have space enough to squeeze in between tables/other parties to easily serve us.
2. We order the charcuterie plate ($15.99) which was labeled as "Antipasti." It was served on a wooden board as typical however it contained pre-sliced deli meats that I would by at Stop & Shop. 3 round pieces of deli pre-sliced provolone, 3 round slices of ham, 3 salami and 1 slice of prosciutto. It also had two pieces of bread (the same kind that was already on the table) three chunks of parmesan, 4 red grapes and 6 green olives.
3. We order the Spiced Mull (Tito’s Vodka, house infused spiced cranberry liqueur with ginger beer). It had no vodka whatsoever.
4. Veal in the veal Marsala was tough.
5. The steak and cake was decent. Steak was cooked perfectly but cake tasted like a whole bottle of bay seasoning was in it.
Because it was a special occasion, we did receive our dessert on the house.
So in summary, it could be better than what it was and for this, I will not be visiting again.
All was great, dynamite ecstatic's, food was terrific, valet parking is helpful, there were no spots to be found near by. Waiter could of been more attentive. He forgot a couple of our drinks, Had to ask again, never brought one at the end for dessert. Ordered cappuccino , and dessert, they cam 15 minutes apart, would of liked them together. Will come back but,,, Hope we have a better experience.
Had reservations for party of 11 to celebrate a Hallmark birthday. Our table was set up in a beautiful spot near their fireplace. Service was exceptional. Wait staff very professional, courteous, and on point. Our server was "Isaiah" and he was phenomenal. All of our guests enjoyed their dishes and raved about what a beautiful place it is. My husband was largely impressed with the experience. He is a chef, so he considers the service to be just as important as how the quality of the meal to be.
I had brought a cake for the celebration with me for the dessert and it was presented very nicely for the big moment.
All meals were delivered together and hot. Additional diners were set at tables in the room we were in yet it did not cause for a noisy atmosphere. I was very pleased with how this experience went and felt they went out of their way to accommodate our needs/requests. Would highly recommend this establishment and look forward to the next time I dine there.
