Chandler's a Restaurant
very nice setting with very good food. The menu was limited, but I think it was more for quality control more than any else. They had a quality non alchahol beer that rather than the easy choice of O'dools. I would go back and recommend it to anyone.
Clean, Friendly & Fresh!
Menu is very well thought out,
some dishes are rich so the leftovers
get better with time...
Usual excellent food, accommodating kitchen, terrific service, vibe,
Fantastic food and wait staff. Very knowledgeable about the all aspects of the menu and wine. Will definitely go when ever we are in Petoskey!!
4 of us ordered something different,
all 4 dishes were wonderful , very nice portions and cooked to perfection !!
It was our 39th wedding anniversary and Heidi was a wonderful hostess she made our night special
Excellent service and food selection. We ate in the cellar were it was cozy and relaxing.
Outstanding food! Beautifully presented! Enjoy!!
We had a very good dinner at Chandlers. We were surprised to be moved across to the Cellar but it was fine. It was a quieter vibe. Nice for celebrating my husband’s birthday.
We drive from Fenton to have dinner here every year on our anniversary in October. We love it so much, we purchased a print of a painting, featuring Chandler’s sign in it, from one of the local shops.
Always perfect. Love this place. Food is always fresh and spot on.
Our dinner was excellent and our server Paul was most prompt and attentive. My Filet Mignon was the best I’ve ever had and the Spicy Tuna rolls were delicious. My husband and I were lucky we got to sample a couple before my son ate them all.
Never fails to disappoint. High quality food, great drinks. They seem to have an impressive rotating menu of both drinks and entrees. The service is top-notch.
My wife and I come up to Petoskey a few times a year and we always make sure we have dinner at Chandler's. It is always a highlight of our trip up there.
Just make sure you have reservations. Walk-ins had a 2 and a half hour wait.
Petoskey restaurant week menu was good. Cheese tray was very good
No one ever came to our table with menus or to check on us. We got drinks at the bar before sitting outside and eventually ended up leaving $ on the table and leaving.
Wonderful restaurant to celebrate a special event! We thoroughly enjoyed our cocktails, dinners (the flavors danced!) and dessert. We plan to return to Chandler's the next time we are in Petoskey.
Our reason for going to Chandlers was to celebrate our silver anniversary. We were waited on by Heidi who took excellent care of us. The food and wine choices were many, we ordered a filet Mignon and the duck breast. Delicious. We would definitely return.
My dish was described in the menu as a rack of lamb. What was prepared were 3 lamb chops. Considering it was the most expensive entre on the menu, I felt it was falsely advertised. Dining companion was disappointed there were no vegetarian entre options.
Had a fantastic lunch there in summer. We had to go back and running thru town on the long trip back home to WI. Came in for breakfast. Service was great. I was hoping for something extra special for breakfast. It was good but not as fantastic as the lunch we had. I still will go back. Hope to get there next year for lunch or dinner.
We celebrated our 40th anniversary with Friends Saturday night at Chandlers. Everything was perfect: food, service and ambiance.our table had the tenderloin, chicken, duck and the halibut. All cooked flawlessly and served hot.
Although the restaurant can get noisy, we were in the back and able to carry on conversation.
The wine list is broad with offerings at different price points.
While Chandlers is expensive by Northern MI standards, it’s well worth it.
We requested to be in the wine cellar- they honored our request and our experience was AMAZING. Our waitress was phenomenal, food was outstanding and ambience was perfect... we absolutely loved it!
Chandler’s is an awesome restaurant. Great food and great awry!
Our server was awesome! Food was delicious as usual.
It was so good here! The fish was so beautifully done. I had skate and my friend had salmon. Delicious! We will be back!
Family trip with our daughters. Had a great night. Everything was perfect-food, service., ambiance.
Wonderful service! Food was spectacular! Really upbeat environment . Will be back!!
9/20/19 Visiting this area and are so grateful we found Chandlers. It was delightful and delicious! We’re planning on going back today!
Such a great dinner. Lobster sushi roll was great. Roasted tomato bisque was delicious. My filet and my husband's duck was perfect. Cocktails, wine, and service fantastic. Cozy and casual atmosphere. Looking forward to our next visit!
Bacon was incinerated poached eggs were hard boiled and
The Best- simple perfect combination of components. So fresh. So balanced.
We enjoyed our food but the ambience was lacking. We were shoehorned into a small table too close to others in this crowded restaurant. The noise level was too high. And so were the prices. We likely will not return.
Vibe is very warm & welcoming - lighting is conducive to conversation. Noise level is very high with all hard surfaces and a mostly 60+ patronage who may be hearing challenged - contributing to the loud talking atmosphere. Food was quite good, and for what the meals lacked in venturesomeness, they made up for with solid flavor and being well prepared. Chandler's is a solid pick for the Petoskey area, and they really don't have much if any local competition.
Our golf group loves to have dinner after our afternoon league at Chandlers. The servers are attentive and are able to balance service with our need to have conversation! The wine cellar is our favorite for handling the group but it can be loud when there are several large groups. If you are seeking a quieter environment I highly recommend the main dining room.
Chandler's is always our top choice for fine dining in Northern Michigan. Service is professional, friendly and knowledgeable; the menu, with a select number of options, offers a wide variety for every taste; and the wine cellar is a distinctive, cozy venue. We return year after year for the terrific all-around experience.
My wife and I visited Chandler's on September 1 for dinner. It was our first visit to this restaurant. Since it was labor day weekend I expected it to be busy but was disappointed at the noise level. The restaurant is rather small and narrow. We sat inside and it was very loud. We were seated along the wall towards the center of the room. There were a number of large parties in the center of the room near us. I understand it is difficult for management to control, but it was so loud that we found it difficult to hold a conversation. When we left, we were both relieved to get outside where it was much quieter.
As for the food, I had the fillet and my wife had the halibut. Both meals were very good. The server was also very attentive and met our expectations.
As for a recommendation, I would recommend this restaurant for the quality and the service on quieter nights like during the week. However, on busy weekend evenings and holidays, I would not recommend this restaurant due to the noise level.
We had a wonderful meal in a fun and lovely setting.
Excellent food, flawless service. Best restaurant in town.Book early.
We didn’t actually get to have a meal here as we left prior to ordering. The ambiance is dark and dank, and the tables are small and crammed together. We tried moving to a few different tables, but all were so tightly packed in (and wobbly) that we opted to give up our reservation and eat elsewhere. It’s a shame because the menu looked awesome and we were really looking forward to it. However, for that kind of money the food and service are only part of the equation. Comfort and the surroundings are equally important.
