Chambers Eat + Drink
Chambers Eat + Drink is located at the Phoenix Hotel in Downtown San Francisco
Amazing. Must try. Food & Service excellent.
Cool cool place yet unpretentious. Neat interior design with album library covering the walls and unique lighting fixtures. Waitresses dressed in eclectic and avant-garde clothing. We were by far the oldest couple in the house yet didn’t feel out of place. Menu is limited but we enjoyed the short ribs and pork chops. We brought our own wine bottle but corkage fee of $18 is reasonable. We left before the DJ started playing in the back.
Chambers is a funky little spot in a 50’s style motel. It was a big hit on Valentine’s Day when we were there but we were in on business. A great selection of craft cocktails. The service was good and food was very good. Short Rib excellent. A very unique place and worth the trip.
Food and table service very good. Different put nice atmosphere. One downside, the bar is very strange. Limited selection at the bar with a bartender that measure everything to a fraction of an ounce.
Cool ambiance, but food was mediocre at best. Butternut ricotta ravioli was too spicy to finish. Service was okay.
Went here for dinner before a show at GAMH and was super surprised! Food was great, super cool rock n roll vibe and service was good!
Perfect location for a pre-show dinner.
We were there for brunch - options were plentiful and all sounded tempting! Went with the huevos rancheros with a side of pork belly - DELICIOUS. The cocktail list all looked great but we'd been up very late so stuck with the french press coffee. Will definitely return.
Excellent food - try the Osso Bucco for dinner an d Bread Pudding for dessert. Also good drinks including dessert cocktails. However the appetizers are quite small for the price. And while our waiter was great the rest of the staff and/or policies seemed newbie. For example, why should we check in twice upfront just because they aren’t ready for us? Why can’t we transfer our drink bull to the table? Why does the bartender spend 10 minutes waiting for a small group to decide what drinks they want (tasting some samples) while the rest of us wait to out in our orders or wait for him to make our drinks? That kind of newbie - ish mistakes. awe will give them another shot but they should try to work on their non-waiter staff.
Megan Bundy is the most beautiful human being in the world.
Great place for a date. Food and service were excellent.
Really cool spot, love the ambiance for happy hour, brunch, and dinner. One of my favorite places in SF
This is a great throwback setting, at a classic old motel. Interior is really great, food very good, and fun.
It was quite cold outside, might need a couple more heaters :)
Food and the ambiance was great. One unfortunate factor was that the table we got was not the best. I made a reservation weeks ahead of time noted that it was for a special occasion and asked to get a table where we can enjoy the ambiance and some privacy but we got seated next to the kitchen and the door to outside swimming pool area. It was cold and very loud because there were two large parties outside and people were keep going in and out. Maybe hostess didn’t see my note on the reservation, but I was disappointed when we got seated. It was unfortunate that my note on my reservation was disregarded so if this continues to happen then I would not recommend this place for friends who want to go for a special occasion, but rather recommend for casual and lively dinner.
We've been going to Chambers for brunch for several years now and it's never been disappointing. Food and drink are both delicious and the atmosphere is a lot of fun.
Great cocktails and food. I don't remember the name of our waitress but she was blond and from San Diego, fantastic and so helpful. Every drink and food recommendation she gave us was delicious! Would come here again with friends, my husband, or a group. It's good for everyone.
Portions way to small. Soda tasted like bleach water ...
Entree was cold but it was tasty. Server/hostess had a bit of an attitude as if we were inconveniencing them, maybe they were hungover it was Sunday morning, not a huge deal because we just wanted to eat and run. Bartender (male) was extremely friendly and the server who was working the patio touched our table twice she was nice and we weren’t her table.
The bar is quite noisy but there is a nice outside area next to a fire.
I was looking for a new spot to try for our group's weekly brunch and wanted the menu looked great. My only complaint is that when I asked about the bottomless mimosas that were foremost in my selection of the restaurant, I was told that they changed their menu and now only do bottle service. The $48/ea. bottle service for prosecco is a rather pricey option for a large group, but we were there already so we just went with it. The service was fantastic. Maria took amazing care of us, but the lack of the bottomless is what will keep me from going back with our weekly group. I would go back and check out dinner sometime, though.
The food is a bit too expensive for what you get.
First time here. Came here on a whim to try something different. Was not disappointed! Love the decor and ambience. Service was amazing. We left our card and they called immediately, holding onto it until after we had seen Les Mis. Food was good too. Definitely coming back!
Eh, it was a bit better than o.k. Asked for Tabasco, got something else.
Lively atmosphere, good layout. Food. Was very good-tr-tip appetizer fantastic.
Just super loud and the prawns were chewy and fishy. Really bad area as well, which we had no idea. Just really not good for a fancy date.
The prices were high relative to the portions and quality provided. The cocktails were made well and actually priced moderately well for a cocktail bar. The atmosphere is great and would be a cool date spot to meet for a few drinks. Watch out for the neighborhood though, make sure you have an Uber already there before leaving. The hood is a bit seedy.
This is my favorite neighborhood brunch place. Sit outside by the pool on a sunny day and it doesn’t feel like you’re in the middle of the Tenderloin. All the menu items are delicious too and you get a whole French press for coffee!
Date night with my wife
Great atmosphere, very nice service and good food!
Brunch was phenomenal! Fresh squeezed orange juice, a gigantic vegetable omelette packed with vegetables, perfectly seasoned potatoes, an amazing grilled chicken special. Save room for the soufflé pancake, a house specialty! I will be coming back on my next trip to SF!
Unless you are from the area, you might not go in the building as it looks a bit rough from the outside. As soon as you walk in everything changes! It’s warm and welcoming and the hostess makes you feel at home. Great small plates awesome for sharing. The brussel sprouts were great as was the Kobe tri-tip and octopus. Will go back for sure!
Excellent cocktails and delicious food with a unique ambiance. Hundreds of vinyl records on one side and a view of the hotel/motel's sheltered swimming pool on the other.
The staff there was welcoming and Our waiter was on point, attentive and overall very hospitable.
Just perfect! I went there on a friday evening with my friends and it was so much fun, the service and the food was awesome. The music and drinks as well!
The restaurant looks great! The experience was unfortunately plagued by being placed in what seemed to be a thoroughfare between the restaurant, bar next door and outdoor patio area. The service was mediocre- the waitress even forgot to tell the kitchen to fire my order so my entire table was served almost 30 minutes before my meal arrived. The food itself was ok. On the menu it sounded great, but when it finally arrived the portions were small and the taste didn't meet expectations. Overall, it was a let down. They did manage to remember that I'd mentioned it was a birthday when I booked the table so I appreciated them not missing that. Not likely I'll return of my own volition.
Great Vibe! Amazing food Pork Belly and Tri Tip Tenderloin and Pork chop - all out of this world! Terrible Service - didn't even get drinks until 50 minutes after being seated.
good dinner. bottle of wine took forever and we had to chug at the end. other than that great meal!
Enjoyable setting, decent food. Accommodated my vegan friend. Our waitress was a bit impatient, but perhaps it was the vegan accommodation? Overall a nice experience
Great bunch menu. Excellent service.
