Spacious outdoor seating!
Enjoyable evening at outdoor table for 4! Food was good and everyone wore a mask! Will definitely go back again!
Very attentive service in a beautiful dining room. The food is consistently excellent!
Reza and the server took very good care of us. They also made certain we had a heater... that I requested. Food was yummy.!!
With so few people at the restaurant, I would think it would make sense to have a more limited menu. Hope you can survive the winter!
Cesco Osteria is one of our favorite Bethesda spots. We live near by, and always feel welcome. The outdoor area is very convenient and now has heaters. There are limited seating indoors to comply with COVID-19 regulations. That being said the food is very good. We know most of the staff which consistently give us great service.
Service was uneven with one dish missed leaving 3 of us waiting. Our food was cold while the late plate was hot.
The food was excellent quality and abundant. Guillermo our server was great. Friendly and efficient. 5 star. We sat in the patio and socially distanced and truly felt safe at all times.
Will definitely return
The Cinghiale with fresh fettuccine, i.e. wild boar is EXCELLENT! I could eat it every day
Oh and don't forget to have it with a super Tuscan wine.
Always great service and food here. The pasta dishes are my favorite. Penne with eggplant. The opening bread. Everything was good. Great again. Never a long wait for food either.
We did outdoor patio dining on a Friday night in October and it was very comfortable and we felt safe. We took advantage of the Savor Bethesda fixed price options. The house wine was good and well priced.
As always superb service and food!
A lovely evening from start to finish!
Food was outstanding and service impeccable! The staff is always so accommodating. Beautiful restaurant! Outdoor seating is fantastic as well. It’s my first choice always when dining out.
Enjoyed a delicious meal and terrific service during Bethesda restaurant week. Sitting outside we chose the 3 course dinner of beet salad, mushroom pastry, 2 salmon entrees and desserts consisting of 3 flavors of gelato and a tiramisu. We'll return again!
We got together with visiting friends. Didn’t know about this place but it met all the criteria we had. Walking distance for our friends, choices for our two vegan diners, and outdoor dining for safety. It’s a beautiful place and my Filet Mignon was one of the best I’ve had in recent years. Everyone else loved the food. Also adjacent to a big parking garage. It will be in our rotation from now on.
Very nice restaurant, I gave the food four stars because there seafood dishes barely had any shrimp, even though shrimp is the main ingredient. Meals were very good. Good wine list.
Excellent service, attentive waiters. Great food. Only problem was no outdoor heating. This a must if the restaurant intends to keep outdoor dining as an option.
Excellent food and service. Good physical distancing.
We often eat at Cesco Osteria. During past months have eaten outside in their large patio. This is the first time we eat inside. Was very safe, we felt comfortable. The food is always very good and the service excellent. One of the best restaurants in Downtown Bethesda
Wonderful to be back at Bethesda's best restaurant with superb outdoor seating, food, service, and ambience! The great staff was missed! What a treat to sit outside on Woodmont Avenue and watch the world go by. The best pasta outside of Italy. Love it. Fresh air, fantastic conversation .... it doesn't get any better than this. Bravo, Cesco, encore!
Had a table outdoors. Food and service were terrific as always. Great restaurant.
the restaurant was excellent but Open Table did not give us the 100 points for the reservation. Don't know if that is OT or the restaurant but we've asked open table to correct it and they have not.
Delicious food, professional and very helpful service. We love this restaurant.
quiet, nice ambience. went for lunch and the prices were very reasonable especially for house made pasta.
I hate to give this secret gem such a high review for fear that it will become more ‘discovered’. The food and service is always fabulous here. We order the specials, the lemon pasta, the bolognese, the fish in parchment or encrusted in salt, the steak and the chops . It’s a family favorite and there is a killer wine list. We were there on half price wine Wednesday and that made it an extra special value.
Amazing food and service. The Octopus / Seafood salad appetizer was delicious and the table side served sea salt baked Branzino was mouth watering . First time dining at that restaurant and guaranteed to return in the near future. Highly recommended!
Very nice experience and it felt clean/sanitized. It would raining out so we dined in and the ambiance was cozy and the food was great.
Apps: calamari and arancini balls arrived cool, took time to be corrected. Cocktails (incl. bramble) were great. Risotto of shank main course was a bit salty, plate was nicely hot. Steak and mashed potatoes were great. Service was good. 1st time only patrons in a huge restaurant. Would return.
Cesco is a Bethesda gem. We should worry about all restaurants' survival during Time of Covid, but we should particularly support restaurants that have a history of being special because of the exceptional quality of their food and the quality of their service. Cesco infrequently gets sufficient praise. Our four dinners, served outside last night, met its usual standard of excellence. Fresh, interesting salads, grilled chicken, grilled vegies, homemade pastas with amazing sauces -- it was all wonderful. And the service (Raphael was our waitor) was exceptional. Chef Francesco Ricchi also made a much appreciated appearance. Cesco offers many outdoor tables for dining. We are not comfortable with indoor dining yet, but the spaciousness of Cesco's indoors should also make diners confortable.
My friends and I went to this wonderful find for my birthday Thursday evening. The service was wonderful- our server had fabulous recommendations and we enjoyed every bite! We felt it was very clean and that the proper steps were being taken to ensure everyone’s safety. An easy 5 stars from us. We will be returning!
Cinghiale (wild boar) with fresh fettuccine !!!
Constant favorite for years!
Omg! I cannot say enough about the food! My bf doesn’t eat Italian outside of Italy, and for the first time he didn’t complain!
Delicious and the service was also really good. I had left overs and have eaten them 2 days in a row and both times I have relived the deliciousness!
It’s a great date night spot!
Carbonara was awful. Separated and oily. Our waiter was great though he didn't take the item off of our bill.
It was a wonderful Italian meal. Good wine, excellent antipasto followed by a perfectly grilled fish. Strawberry flower was refreshing as a dessert. Had a wonderful time with family and friends with Covid protections and social distancing. Great place!
Fabulous dining experience, as always. Food, service and atmosphere cannot not be topped. Thank you Cesco Osteria for such a beautiful dining experience.
We had made a reservation for the patio, but it was pouring rain when we arrived. So we were invited in to a cavernous empty dining room, with enormously high ceilings--totally alleviating my fears of indoor dining. (Another couple came toward the end of our meal and was seated 50 feet away.)
The pasta dishes we had were lovely. I ordered risotto with scallops--the scallops were soft nestled in the creamy rice, delicious. My husband had chicken-stuffed ravioli, which he said was wonderful. The salad of arugula and grilled radicchio, topped with a thin slice of parmigiano, was imaginative and very good.
We'll be back.
Restaurant was good. Excellent steak. No acknowledgement of our 15 year anniversary. However, we had a very pleasant time and the service was excellent.
Fantastic food and service. Rafale is a wonderful server. Made us feel both safe and attended to.
Our first venture eating outside in Bethesda. It could not have been better. We felt very safe and food was wonderful.
