   When I first got it into Cesca I was very thrilled by the smell I knew at once I was expecting great food. My girl and I were sat at the back room which it was packed another good signal that I did the right choice of going there... David took care of us He was very nice and with a great sense of humor... We ordered a bottle of Nebbiolo (outstanding) then we went hard on food: Caesar Lancinato salad, tortelli ai fungi to share, Becky had the Salmon and I had the bistecca...everything was delicious, well cooked, well presented and very filling.. we couldn’t be more satisfied but in our way out the manager kindly gave us some cookies for the road.. that definitely stole our hearts... you know that full belly happy heart... I highly recommend this NYC landmark .

   Been going to 'Cesca for years. Almost always have a very good dining experience. Went there this past Friday night however, which happened to be Valentine's Day. We specifically inquired before hand whether the regular a la carte menu would be available and were told that it would. That was not the case however and the menu was only prix fixe at $85 per person. The manager did graciously acknowledge the restaurant's mistake and accommodated us as best they were able, although the food choices were very limited. We will return as the food is always good and the wait staff always professional and pleasant, but our recent experience was far less than ideal.

   The owner was the most awful Human being. We called the night before and told on Valentine’s Day we didn’t have to have the prize fixed menu which we didn’t want as there were nicer items on the regular menu. When we got there we were told that wasn’t true they made a mistake. Then the entree item I chose from the menu they said they were out of at 7pm. When the owner came over she said I could have the steak and when I said I was generally confused and why was I told they were out. She was very nasty even though she was saying we could have what we want her manner was deplorable.

   WOW! Before setting foot inside this well-loved Italian institution in the Upper West Side, know that you should save room for their desserts—imagine tiramisu or a scoop of their daily sorbet. This is an important starting point, because there are a number of other wonderful dishes vying for your attention along the way. Regional specialties include the iconic bucatini all’amatriciana, made with guanciale—the authentic way(I’d know, I’m from Rome!!). Many also come here for the incredible wine list, which includes everything from Hewitt Vineyard’s prestigious Cabernet Sauvignon to Planeta’s award-winning Cometa. Service is professional yet charming, and the elegant décor inspires dressing up for dinner. Ultimately, Cesca proves to be a dining staple in New York City. It was a pleasure to visit!

   I had an amazing dinner at Cesca with my two friends. It was my first time dining there, but it will not be my last! The food was prepared to perfection, and the service was fantastic! My waitress was both, friendly and helpful and very experienced in hospitality industry! She took great care of us! The interior is beautiful, and you can actually have conversation without screaming. If you are looking for exquisite Italian food, in a beautiful setting, with an extremely professional staff, then Cesca is the place you are looking for! Thank you Cesca!!

    Lovely experience our waiter Louis was very professional he went above and beyond to make sure our experience at cesca was unforgettable We started with the burrata and coliflower then I had the lamb chops and my wife had the bisteca with truffle fries. Our glasses of water always full bread was on the table the moment we ordered our food we didn’t even have to say anything our waiter he orchestrated every thing to perfection I can’t wait to go back ooooh and don’t forget to try the lovely tiramisu best in town
